Where is the incentive for us to pre-order a digital game through the PSN store vs buying a physical one from retailers?

Did you not read the PS+ content post on yesterday’s blog?
There is traditionally no PS3 game for PS+ on the fourth week. We get a Vita title. Nothing was removed to bring you a Vita title. It’s a bonus.
The PS+ post said that Ninja Gaiden was this weeks content. I do not see where they stated or even hinted that Bayonetta was going free.

I’m sure Sony and all the publishers out their would prefer if I download their products (eliminating many used games) hopefully increasing their profits where is my incentive to do so aka a lower price point.
Separately does Sony help retailers set their prices or do retailers decide on their own because that Hitman pricing structure is outrageous.
