Big Sky Infinity (PS3 and PS Vita – Cross Buy Enabled)
40% off for PS Plus members (Original price: $9.99; PS Plus price: $5.99)
Big Sky Infinity is a lightning-fast, randomly-generated game that adapts to how you play; which means, it’s never the same game twice. You pilot a spaceship that’s flying straight into an alien armada. The further you progress, the harder it gets, with giant bosses, streams of enemies, and unique events that shift the gameplay to keep you on your toes. It’s Cross Buy enabled, so this purchase will get you a version to play on both your PS Vita and PS3. Check out more Big Sky Infinity from the game’s director James Whitehead.
Knytt Underground (PS3 and PS Vita – Cross Buy Enabled)
40% off for PS Plus members (Original price: $9.99 $14.99; PS Plus price: $5.00 $8.99)
Knytt Underground tells a quirky and strange tale that’s set in the future, hundreds of years after the humans disappeared from the planet. Sprites, fairies and various other lifeforms roam tunnels in the underground. With a curiousity about their origin and the meaning of life, they strike out to find those answers they try to understand the ones who had obviously figured it out: the humans. It’s a beautiful adventure with a vast environment to explore and story driven quests that will keep you hooked. Read more about Knytt Underground in the PS Blog’s post featuring the Creative Director Nicklas Nygren.
Thanks for reading this week’s update. As usual, you can join the PlayStation community over on the PlayStation Community Forums in the PS Plus space to continue chatting about PS Plus, or find other PlayStation topics to discuss, or even start one yourself. See you in the comments!
Screw the haters, I love the update. The Guardians demo was fun, and while it’d be nice to get Knytt for free like Europe did, $5.00 is a no brainer buy price.
Tried Guardians of Middle-Earth Demo, liked the game type but preferred DotA over LoL…this looks like it uses the LoL engine which I was never a fan of. Still nice to have the genre on the PS3.
Other 3 look nice but I have too much content! Picked up Machinarium, LBPK and Warp last month, still so much to do!
Wish BSI was free, looks like a good time! I’m needing some multi-player games to play with wife and family, like Ratchet and Clank.
Oh I’ll be buying Big Sky Infinity and Knytt Underground. Both look like good fun. Thanks!
As for Sleeping Dogs I’m waiting for the super duper deluxe everything included all patched up to run awesomely edition at retail. Or maybe it’ll be a downloadable Ultimate Edition that would be good too.
I actually took advantage of the ps plus offer this month and bought the year plus 3 month subscription which is actually the first time I have decided to purchase plus. I do say I am extremely disappointed with this update especially as it seems that EU always get major titles added to their collection while we get games of much less quality. After seeing all the cool updates EU has been getting I have been hoping for some good games here. Maybe it would have been best to have avoided the plus sub. like I have been doing bc I am kind of regretting it already…
Europe got Red Dead Redemption months ago. U.S. did not. Europe now gets Sleeping Dogs. U.S. also does not . I love PS Plus but the quality has been lacking recently for U.S. members
I don’t understand why PS+ is so much more valuable for EU than US. There is clearly a discrepancy in the services when one game costs $49.99 retail while the other costs $14.99. Yes I understand Sleeping Dogs came out in August, but nobody wants to play Guardians of Middle Earth.
meh, not the greatest, but its something, I just wish sony could put everything on the DOWNLOAD LIST in alphabetical order, I mean seriously is it so costly to to do that, or does sony have broken fingers? What the heck is going on there?
Well, this looks like a real poor update. The Guardians game looks like crap, and nothing then a game with only online trophies. Nothing worthwhile in this week’s update. Can we get a reboot of this week and get something that doesn’t suck??? I’d be happy with Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy, or even Hollywood Squares. Why not one of the older Lego games? Scene It. Monopoly, You Don’t Know Jack? Mod Nation Racers? Or if you want older game, why not Marvel Alliance II? Something that doesn’t require online gaming only. So far the best thing on + this year was the sale for Little Big Planet Karting. Been highly disappointed this year. Hope we get something better next week.
not as terrible as previous updates, not the best either.
from what I heard, Guardians of Middle Earth actually isn’t the worst, and is mainly centered around the Hobbit book. this is definitely a good storyline, so it makes the game worth checking out. I never got the chance to before, so once again, the idea behind please strikes again.
remember, it’s not about if the game was a bestseller or not, it’s about good games and ones we may have missed, plus discounts/betas.
Btw guys would you mind making updates monthly? I tend not to buy anything on psn because I might get it free in a few days. Monthly updates would help me chose the games I want to play a lot.
another terrible update… i don’t even bother comparing with the EU plus content, nor I will be following further these updates in the future.
US PS+ is dead, more than a year insulting its paying members, not a single game worth paying a subscription for… The PS+ idea is great, the EU PS+ is awesome, how come the US PS+ can be so bad?? how come??
Nothing in this update for me.
No offence to who ever picks our Plus free titles, but you just gave up possibly the worst selling DLC title in recent years, the game was almost universally hated and you thought it’d make a great free title. Where’s the value in that for us? I didn’t sign up to PS+ for your free titles and usually I wouldn’t care because they’re just the sprinkles on my discount cake, but this was a huge WTF.
I appreciate the offer, but I’ll have to pass on this one.
Stop crying, guys. You have the cheapest video games market in the world and, on top of the massive 13 for 13 sale that you enjoyed, you got Darksiders and Guardians of Middle Earth this month. And NG:Sigma Plus for the Vita. If you’re not happy, don’t re-subscribe and your problem will be solved.
I see that 90% of the comments mention Sleeping dogs but still somehow it misses the eyes of SECA or its not metioned during group meetings deliberately. Either ways, Nothing for me this week. Even Crysis 2 and Just Cause 2 or Arkham CIty will give me something to vote for other than nothing. Still waiting to see what will be the full game for this month, if any. No thanks for this weeks update. What happened to the votes asking about last months overall update.
How come every week there is a price discrepancy in the update? Could you guys figure out the prices first and then let us know instead of giving us two different ones all the time?
I am starting to regret my Plus subscription ending in November 2014. I won’t compare the US offer with the EU one, what I really don’t understand is the reason behind giving PS+ users some cheap nobody-wants-to-play games like Foosball or even Guardians of Middle Earth. It’s like Sony ran out of fuel and now, instead gas, they are putting mud in the fuel tank just to fill the weekly free game slot.
Another thing that almost drives me crazy is Morgan’s childish enthusiasm: another great game, an amazing offer, something you can’t afford to miss, the whole world is going to stop and wonder at this week’s plus updates and in the end: Foosball 2012 or another 8-bit game. Come on, some of your Plus members are way over 14 years old and those PR gimmicks sound absolutely pathetic. Most of us are Plus members because we love video games and know a thing or two about video games, or saying that a mediocre game at best is an amazing offer is like insulting our intelligence.
Terrible update. We want Sleeping Dogs.
I agree with post 1
i also agree with post 1
All three of you, go get jobs and buy it it’s like 40 bucks. Stop complaining.
Awesome update! I’m glad I didn’t buy GoME in that sale some weeks ago.
Europe gets Sleeping Dogs, we get a $15 game…
THANKS SONY!
As much as I want Sleeping Dogs, I like the update. I’m a MOBA lover, and this appeals to me.
(c-c-combo breaker.)
Screw the haters, I love the update. The Guardians demo was fun, and while it’d be nice to get Knytt for free like Europe did, $5.00 is a no brainer buy price.
Wish we would get Sleeping Dogs and F1 Race Stars like Europe. They seem to get really good games and we get the short end of the stick.
Pretty good update, i recommend Knytt Underground.
The Knytt Underground prices seem to be conflicting.
In the post, it says PS+ will get it for $5, but, in the picture, it’s $8.99
Ah, I’ll get that fixed; it should be $8.99. Reg price $14.99.
