  • I Argree With @unbornsoldier I Myself Purchased Sleeping Dogs The Day Of Release. I Am Not Worried About What EU Gets. I Just Want Better Value. I Like That Idea There Should Be 3 Games a Week and we Get To Chose 1 of Them. Now I Think That is a Great Idea!!!! Like I Said In A Previous Post About Gome Being Crap,Yeah I am Not Into LOTR so Why Would I Want To Play The Game. I Think it Would Be Really Cool To Have A Selection from like 3 Categories like One Week RPG FPS and Sports Game. I Really Think That Would Boost Plus and Stop Some of The Complainers

  • @498

Morgan has a habit of consistantly lying and sometimes just mispeaking.

I will be very critical of what he says and of course if he says something is free, I want to see this free content.

Just because it’s a BS PR way of doing things doesn’t mean saying it’s free when it’s not is ok.

  • we want Sleeping Dog

    no that crapy game

    US PLUS IS A JOKE!!!

  • @ boomstick,

Not his fault you don’t consider this content free. Many people do, as do I.

    lol @ Betorro,

Yeah man, Sleeping Dog is cool! You get to poke the dog and make him eat when he’s hungry, “Sleeping Dog” is sooo cool!

  • Lame update

i want Sleeping Dogs and RDR

  • @Morgan

“Don’t let one update inform your outlook on the Plus program as a whole. If you paid for 3 months, or even 1 year, I’m more than confident you’ll get your money’s worth.”, Haro, Morgan.

The problem is that is not ONE update.
Exclusives from Eur Plus (june – december): Motorstorm, Deus Ex, Dead Space 2, Red Dead Redemption, Bulletstorm, Crysis 2, Batman AC, Mortal Kombat (PS3), Mortal Kombat (Vita).
Exclusives from USA Plus (june – december): Pac Man, Gotham City, Walking Dead (great game, but only 2 ep), NFL Blitz, Quantum Conundrum, Wipeout 2048, SSF IV, Mega Man.

Here I listed the best exclusive games, so, no, the problem is not ONE update.

  • @Tramp_N_Lady

Have you checked your download history to see if “foosball” shows up as already purchased? I got the same message after I had bought foosball on Vita, and went to purchase the PS3 version thinking I had not yet bought it because the store symbol for already purchased did not show on foosball for the PS3. BUt the PS3 version was in my purchase history. The same thing for Retro City Rampage, bought the vita version wanted to get the PS3, but I got the same error, it shows the PS3 version in my download history.

  • Whoever is running the comment filter on this blog needs to have their head examined. I’m repeatedly being flagged using legitimate business terms.

  • @ Betorro

    Go buy them.

  • @Betorro

I am all for speaking your mind and free speech, but enough with the spam posts, twice a page for the last 11 pages you have proven your point of wanting the sleeping dogs game. Can you move on to something else constructive?

  • EUROPE GET
    Motorstorm,
    Deus Ex,
    Dead Space 2,
    Red Dead Redemption,
    Bulletstorm,
    Crysis 2,
    Batman AC,
    Mortal Kombat (PS3),
    Mortal Kombat (Vita).
    Sleeping Dogs.

WE GET A CRAPPY PSN GAME

    THANKS SONY!

  • @ Betorro – RDR is $20. If you can’t afford to pick it up, youprobably have bigger problems than the fact that it’s not in PS+. Sleeping Dogs is also pretty cheap now.

  • That suck.

  • F1 Racers please!!

  • @TitleOne

If you pay for something it’s not free. That’s all there is to it, if you believe otherwise you’re wrong, but I have no need to force you to change your thoughts.

It would seem from your insistance that something paid for is free, you are just trolling and not trying to contribute anything other than any annoying persona.

If you’re not a troll… I’m sorry for whatever problem you have that doesn’t let your brain realize paying for something means its not free.

  • Question: is the word h_o_m_o_g_e_n_e_o_u_s offensive to anybody? For some reason this word is off limits on this blog? All of my posts get deleted when I use this word. Anyone know why?

  • I was going to buy another 1 year subscription of plus so I could get those three mouths free, but after this update and the horrible updates before it, I think maybe I’l let my money do the talking… Plus has been a constant disappointment especially around New Years and Christmas…

Ps: Why can’t I buy xcom on ps3? it says its a disk only title when I searched for it in the psn store.

  • I like how they disable viewing the poll results out of fear that it would be metrical proof that this weeks “deals” are junk

  • Love PS Plus and the additional benefits it gives me over other paid subscription services. Just some weeks are much stronger than others for me. Personally, I would never pickup GoME at any price so I guess I’ll just add it to my download list and then forget about it as I’ve done with many of the games that I have no interest in playing that have been offered up for free. It is just not my type of game, but I add it in case a family member wants to give it a shot.

However, I still look forward to the next offerings of the program, and hope they will be more to my liking. I am sure there are those that really love GoME and appreciates the title, but then again those same people probably already picked up this title at launch as with many of the PS Plus titles that have been offered that I myself have been interested in I tend to already own. There are those few exceptions that do happen and I’m glad it is included in my subscription. The real bonus to having PS Plus is the discounts and that is where I pickup most of my games and DLC.

  • @boomstickbhg

Are you saying that they should be using the term “free with your paid subscription? Sure I personally would like them to say “your rental for this week is:”, but I think they have been up front for the most part about what the subscription contains.

  • @ boomstick,

Right, because I said many of us consider it free, is trolling now?

I’m not going to argue that point because there are many reason why it is fairgame to call it free and some reasons why not to.

If you feel that strongly about it not being really “free”, then I have to ask why did you bother joining in the first place if you are so compelled to complain about it in the 1st place. Everyone with common sense knows that in the truest sense it is not free, but they accept it. Not sure why people like you always have to go on and say, “BUT ITS NOT FREEEE!”

No ****, its not free. Substance over form. Same thing to many of us. If you choose to find a fault in that, then go on and waste your breath arguing over it.

  • I’m really tired of all the whining that’s going on. The solution is simple. If you want the EU games, then make and EU account and buy an EU PS+ subscription, nothing is stopping any of you. Playstation Plus is an amazing service that i’m happy to subscribe to. Its leaps and bounds ahead of Xbox Live (which I also pay for) and I encourage the PS+ team to keep up the good work, I for one appreciate your efforts.

  • @Juno5143

Not sure if you know much about statistics, but showing the results like that before you have voted is an issue if the goal is to get accurate results.

Secondly, it was already mentioned, they don’t want the comments, dominated by stupid back and forth bickering about the poll results, which I am glad they, so half the comments are not about the poll.

  • Looks like I’m not renewing this month. I’ll be making a European account and buying their PS+. Either that, or “acquire” my games another way, because I’ve had enough from Sony.

  • Guess i will reply to you one last time, but only on one point since the rest of your post is a waste of space.

Why did I join in the first place?

I’ve been signed up since Plus started, it’s not my fault they completely changed the service in the middle of my subscription. If it doesn’t improve I probably won’t renew if I can put up with no cloud saves.

  • @boomstick.

ah, well then, so you won’t renew on your own accord? Great! Here I was thinking you actually knew what PS+ offered and took offense when you learned that it was not really free in your opinion.

LOL, talk about Pot calling kettle black. Like your posts aren’t a waste of space?

  • @ nolo451

Not sure if you are trying to boost your self-esteem by trying to sound smart, but no one said that the statistics HAD to be final. If you bothered ever looking at other sites voting, you can vote and see what the current results are to get a good indication as to where the trend is leading. Perhaps the presidential debates shouldn’t show the current results and just display “XXXXX WINS!” because of your reasoning (dur).

Secondly, I never mentioned anything about comments in my post. I understand the reasoning but since your points are so weak, you need to put words in my mouth to argue against. Please think before you post.

  • @TitleOne

Your last post made no sense. I paid for plus, I have a right to express my opinion of something I paid for. Even more so because I signed up and then they changed it. Not only did I pay, they suddenly changed what we get, mid-subscription.

None of what you just said represented in any way what I’ve been saying.

I don’t think calling something free makes you a troll.

But either you completely misunderstand everything I’m saying, or you’re just trying to cause an arguement.

That’s why you seem like a troll to me. Or we just can’t communicate for some reason.

Either way since I can’t even understand what you’re trying to say, since it has nothing to do with our conversation, I guess that’s it.

    Have a good day.

  • Hi I was just wondering if anyone knows if Aliens Colonial Marines will be a day one digital game I really want to get it on PSN rather then retale……If you can give me a HINT maybe please Morgan that would great and thanks for all the free games.

  • If you really wanted Sleeping Dogs, you’d have bought it when it came out and supported the developers like many of us did. It’s worth paying the cash for.

This update is great. Quite a few games I’m interested in, and Middle Earth has been on my radar for a while, I just didn’t get around to buying it yet. The other discounts look good too. This is a solid update!

    Stop being self entitled wankers…

  • @Juno5143,

Yes, stating an obvious fact is me trying to boost my self esteem. (゜.゜)

Stating what was mentioned is me trying to put words in your mouth? Dude, calm down.

You’re the one lying about the reasons they made the poll private.

  • Wow, at least 530 comments. Something to read in the dark when I have insomnia tonight….

  • I am curious as to when PS plus is going to start showing more PSP love. I do enjoy getting to try games on PS plus I would otherwise never look at. But I really feel like I have not seen a lot of PSP content with PS plus. Mabey we could atleast get the GOW PSP titles on discount? please.

  • This is most excellent i’ll have to check into this.

  • So much hate. Don’t complain, we get free stuff all the time. Never complain about not getting something free. Complain if you want the option to buy a digital version, but don’t ask for handouts. Thats sad. I’m happy with anything sony gives me. Always happy to see variety, admitedly anxious for a few specific titles myself but usually not to disapointed. If nothing else, the random games give me a new perspective and a chance to try a game i otherwise may have passed by. Sometimes things surprise you. Still to this day i play AWESOMENAUGHTS. That games was never on my radar.

But, i will say. I would like a filter/search function. Preferably a filter (alphabetical/full games;ps3;ps2;classic;minis/demos/dlc/avatar&themes.) For the download history. Please??//??????

  • boomstick.

Fair enough, we don’t see eye to eye.

Just think its dumb to make it seem as if Morgan+team are somehow lying to us about getting free content. They have aren’t. Hate to break it to you, but if they weren’t, you would have grounds for a lawsuit.

  • @nolo451

Again, not knowing what you are talking about. No where did I say the results were final. Why not show where they currently are? Are you that much of a fanboi that you refuse to see any results (final or not) against your precious ps+?

First off, you should familiarize yourself with the word “fact”. There were not “obvious facts” stated. Just a persons opinion. I mentioned nothing about comments and you brought it up trying to explain to me as if I were arguing against it. That would be putting words in my mouth.

There is no lying. Anyone with half a brain can read through the posts and see how brain dead you area.

  • Who gives a F**** what EU gets and who really cares if you drop your subscription. I’m very happy with the service thus far. A little Econ 101, Sony is a business and businesses are about profits, to be giving away games that eat into their is not going to happen….so move on and get a life (or a job)!

  • Hey, Uncle Morgan, I read the link you provided, the Destructoid article on Plus. You know IGN’s Moriarty touted Plus from day 1, the real day 1 which I think was before you got here, before there was cloud saving which is worth the 50 bucks by itself. How else can I workaround that mean From Software (and others) game copy restriction. Why should I be stuck with bad outcomes if I can reload earlier saves? Hah! to meanie devs! Oh, and PS3 breakdowns, which I have never experienced once, on my 3 rock solid PS3s.

  • Fair point, I’m over reacting to the word ‘free’ since I’m having problems with the service as a whole.

The actual ‘lies’ I have issue with were about the “matching the quality of the EU” for the xmas sales, MH’s constant use of the word “great” to describe every future update, etc… Someone posted a long list of quotes that turned out to be not true, or some just a bad choice of words.

MH admitted to the 2nd part, but even though he asked for quotes I don’t remember him replying when they were provided (as to the first point).

So after that I find it hard to believe anything Morgan says and that has definately been colouring my view of everything the Blog staff does, which isn’t fair to the rest of them.

  • @Juno5143,

Not sure why you are so mad.

Calm down. I don’t care about the results because it doesn’t affect me one way or the other. Why get worked up about something I cannot control?

The fact I was talking about is how leaving the poll up for others to see before they have actually voted is a fundamental sampling error in statistics. That is a FACT.

Plus, an added bonus of that is that the comments section is no longer riddled with annoying comments about the poll. If that makes me a fanboy, then whatever, your mind is clearly set on that, so I’m not going to even waste my time to deny it.

Funny how you have to resort to insults.

  • Having used the “new” PSN-Store again today morning to try and find some new DLC for the PS3 videogames I currently own, I have to say that the new PSN-Store STILL stinks. True Sony I do appreciate not having to go through multiple “checkout lines” anymore (don’t know how else to describe it, but I mean the multitude of steps you had to go through just to download one DLC (for example: an avatar, a theme, a videogame-trailer, etc.) when the “new”-Playstation-store was first released), and that you FINALLY (at least for the most part) added some of the things that were missing (such as some-of the content from Socom 4).

However, there’s STILL lots of stuff missing (and you can verify this by reading the forums at http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Network/The-New-PSN-STORE-SUCKS/m-p/38733935, http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Network/New-PS-Store-sucks/m-p/38700549, and the “New Playstation-Store Walkthrough”-YouTube-video page at Sony Playstation’s Official YouTube channel, at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yH7OECd0N4).

  • #1. The store is STILL laggy as hell.

#2. There’s STILL *LOTS* of content missing from the “new” Playstation-Store. For example: Socom 4 had TWO “Avatar bundles”. So far, I’ve only seen one in the “new” Playstation Store (where as the [affectionately-called] “old Blue” Playstation Store had BOTH Avatar-bundles) (the one missing in the “new” Playstation-Store is “Avatar-Bundle #1 by the way) (and, if memory serves me, one Avatar-Bundle had the “good guys”-characters avatars, and the other Avatar-Bundle had the “bad guys”-characters avatars).

I still cannot find, in the “new” Playstation Store, any DLC (or even any listing for the following-games themselves, for that matter) for the videogames FIFA09, FIFA10, and FIFA11 (pretty much: any FIFA game released prior to the “FIFA12″ one). I also tried to find the DLC for the James Bond game “Quantum of Solace” by searching in all the available methods (using the “one letter at a time” Search function — that didn’t find it.

  • Awesome, Ill be picking up 3 of those 4 games.
To everyone complaining SHUT UP ALREADY!
It’s so annoying and it’s getting real old.

  • I also tried going to “Games” > “PS3 Games” > “All PS3 Games” (and the other ways you can search for it like “Disc-Only PS3 games”, “Full PS3-games”, and using the “Filter” function to filter by “Shooter” (since the game IS a “Shooter”-type videogame) and the videogame was nowhere to be found (whereas in the “old Blue” Playstation-Store, you can just easily go to “All, A – Z”, and then further narrow down the search by narrowing down the letters of what your videogame is called (example: “All Games, A to Z” > “Q” > select “Quantum of Solace”-videogame-art > voila. You’re shown ALL the things available for your selected game (videogame trailers, Developer Diaries, other Behind-The-Scenes videos, avatars, DLC “add-ons”, themes, etc.)))) and that didn’t work either.

    (continued on next posts)

  • (continued from post #546)

I also couldn’t find ANYTHING for the James Bond game “James Bond 007: Blood Stone”; I couldn’t find “Sonic Adventure” when using the darn “Search” function on the “new” Playstation Store, and only found it after finding “Sonic Adventure 2″ listed below on the “Recommendations”-section of the game-page (containing all the DLC) for one of the videogames I was checking out the DLC for (and from there, after checking out “Sonic Adventure 2″, “Sonic Adventure [part 1]” was listed in the “Recommendations”-section of Sonic-Adventure-2′s game-page).

I also remember that there were alot of Kevin Butler TV-ads and/or “TV ‘spots’ ” in the Socom-4 download-content page, and now none of those tv-spots are there [to download].

I also STILL cannot find ANY Qore episodes nor Pulse videos, WHATSOEVER, in the “new” Playstation store, whereas in the OLD Playstation Store, pretty much ALL the content (at least as far as I know) that Sony has come out with ever since CREATING the Playstation-Store, was there to see [and available for download].

  • Wow, I’ve always been a proponent of PSN+ but this updated SERIOUSLY sucks compared to the EU store. Maybe its time to replace these guys with the hustlers they have working for the Europeans.

  • I would like to see katamari ps vita for free. Any news if it will be

  • GoME is an excellent game, very exciting and good MOBA, I urge all Plus members to at least give it a try.

I bought it day one and had a blast.. but then comes the big thing, connections issues… sometimes you’ll end up waiting 10-20 minutes to get in games, and very-way-too-often you’ll get DC during the game. I enjoyed it thoroughly for a month after my purchase but then just quit out of frustration. The game is excellent, but that problem is a serious buzz kill especially that MOBAs are centered around online play.. and you don’t get the same level of enjoyment playing against bots.
