Mumford & Sons – The Road to Red Rocks
The globe-trotting Brits are back, just a few months after the colossal release of their sophomore album, Babel. The band unveiled footage of their August 2012 performance at the famous Colorado venue in their video for “I Will Wait,” and have since released a documentary/concert film about the show that was the calm before the Babel storm. This audio version includes live renditions of “Lover of the Light,” and “Ghosts that We Knew,” from the recent album, as well as “Little Lion Man,” and “Awake My Soul,” from their 2010 debut, Sigh No More. Catch them perform this Sunday at The 55th GRAMMY Awards.

Jim James – Region of Light & Sound of God
Jim James is a man of many hats: from his group of indie rock stalwarts, My Morning Jacket, to his “Yim Yames” album of George Harrison covers, to last year’s “New Multitudes” super group tribute to Woodie Guthrie. Until now, the only branch he hasn’t taken yet is a full album of original solo material, which he now embarks on with Region of Light & Sound of God. Many of Jim’s nuances, mostly his vocals, lace the album with a sense of familiarity, alongside some new stripped electronic instrumentals for a very different kind of album. Jim plays a few release shows this month and kicks off a full tour in April through mid-May.

Josh Groban – All That Echoes
The poster-child for all aspiring choir boys, Josh Groban returns after his 2010 release, Illuminations, with another set of pop-inspired music. His cross-over success as a traditional singer has earned him respect across multiple musical genres and this album features a few more light-hearted pop tunes that could create some leverage for him, including “Brave,” “Below the Line” and his cover of The Swell Season’s Oscar-winning hit, “Falling Slowly.” He kicks off an overseas tour in April and headlines a whopping three nights at the famous Hollywood Bowl in July.

Steering over to television and we’ve got an exciting line-up of TV premieres this week! First, Tosh.0 returns tonight on Comedy Central and the all-new episode will be available on the Video Unlimited service and PlayStation Store starting tomorrow, February 6th. Make sure you watch as the Lightning Bolt LARPer gets a Web Redemption and whatever else Daniel feels like doing.
Then, get ready for a high-octane sophomore season of Touch as it premieres on television later this week, with the first episode available starting Saturday, February 9th. In the second season, the story setting shifts from New York to Los Angeles, where Martin and Jake are on the run from the mysterious and possibly sinister research facility Aster Corps, which had shown tremendous interest in exploiting Jake’s precognitive abilities.
Last but not least, the surreal college comedy Community returns to TV this Thursday with a “Hunger Games” spoof, and the new episode will be available on the Video Unlimited service Friday, February 8th. This season, the group will study history with Professor Noel Cornwallis (guest star Malcolm McDowell, (“Entourage,” “Franklin & Bash”); they will make an unexpected trip to Pierce’s mansion on Halloween; Jeff will finally meet his long-lost dad; and Shirley will experience the joys of entrepreneurship with her sandwich shop at Greendale.
I can’t believe a garbage show like Tosh.0 would get renewed. More surprised people actually watch it, for comedy central to give it a renewal.

I can’t dowload movies form PSN. I get this error: “There are no items that you can purchase at this time” This service it’s availabe only within USA?
Can anyone provide an update as to why Music Unlimited is no longer able to connect since your last update? My HTC One X worked before the update and ever since then myself and alot of others seem to be unable to connect. I was told by Customer service you were aware of this but it’d be great if an update to this matter could be made since its been a couple weeks since i could use the service.
Sony’s done a great job with offering a cheap entry point to the service through the Playstation Plus membership in order to build your user base up BUT you not only need to worry about attracting new customers you really should be equally focused on retaining your current customers. It’s the only way to really grow as a bussiness afterall. Time’s running out for me and if i’m not happy when my sub runs out then i can tell you now youve lost me as a customer and i’ll gladly spend my money elsewhere.
Please, all i ask is for an update, something, anything from Sony telling us what’s going on and when we can expect a fix. Thanks.

Same issue with the Music Unlimited Android App. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note (ICS 4.04), and since the latest update to the Google Play store, I haven’t been able to access the app. when loading, it gets to 71% and says “unable to establish a server connection, click ok to close the app now”. if I leave it, it will eventually get to 84% while still saying the same thing. the service is still working great when used through the PS3, Vita and through regular web browsers for PC/Mac, but it’s clearly not working on Android. this needs to be fixed ASAP.
also, has sony considered evolving the Video Unlimited service to be more like Music Unlimited, and offer movies on a subscription basis more like Netflix, Hulu, etc? I don’t really purchase movies through the current service, but if it were sub based like MU and it was essentially $5-$15/month, there would be a extremely good chance I would jump on it. maybe offer it to everyone for $15/month and to PS+ users for $8/month?
basically how an idea like that would work is similar to how Netflix works with the online rental service, however with the option to purchase rentals you enjoyed. same for Music Unlimited, create an option for users to be able to purchase albums or songs they like, that way if a user decides the service isn’t for them after a certain timeframe and lets their sub expire, they can still enjoy the few items they found value in…almost how PS+ works in that way, if I were theorhetically to let it expire, I still have the games I downloaded, but if I wish to keep them, I would have to purchase them….just for Music and Video as well, but as a rental service with the buy option in program. once bought, the audio/video file coulld be transferred to any device of the users choosing, while Sony still wins the DRM game as files would be encoded with who the owner is, preventing pirating to a larger degree.
Music Unlimited hasn’t worked on my PSP since the maintenance last month, all it ever does is say can’t connect to server. It still works on my PS3 but I liked listening to it on the PSP while playing on the PS3. If you listen to it on the PS3 your locked into it and can’t do other stuff like web browse or play a game. Did you guys drop PSP support and just didn’t bother to tell anyone?
Hey Talgron, i don’t think Sony stopped supporting the PSP specifically in regards to Music Unlimited, i think they just stopped supporting Music Unlimited altogether! There are a ton of people having issues and i hear nothing about whats going on. Just keep paying for the service, enjoy your time in the darkness with the rest of us and remember to keep reading your e-mails from Sony advertising selling us about how easy, convienient, and reliable this service is.
Sony, like a lot of other companies, have only been in business how long now and this is how far customer service has moved up the evolutionary ladder. Nobody cares at the end of the day and I’d love for Jeff Safran to prove to me otherwise.
I’m curious if anybody AT Sony actually use their own service? How’s it working for you guys? Maybe that’s why nobodies doing anything cause they’re all using their iphones and ipods over on apples service.
