PlayStation Campus Tour Returns: More Schools, More Games, More Prizes

Back by popular demand: The PlayStation Campus Tour is hitting the road again for the Spring semester and we’re going bigger and better than ever. Starting next Monday, we will be crashing college campuses across the country for 11 weeks, bringing you new and unreleased games, daily tournaments, tons of giveaways, exclusive discounts on PlayStation products and a whole lot more! If that doesn’t have you salivating yet, take a look at some of the titles we will be featuring throughout the tour:

PlayStation On Campus

On top of that, you can get hands-on with some awesome PSN titles like Guacamelee, Ibb and Obb, and Runner 2! And that’s just a taste of what’s to come. We will be adding more of this year’s biggest and most anticipated PS3 and PS Vita games to the lineup over the course of the tour.

If you’re the competitive type, you can test your skills in our daily God of War: Ascension speed run challenge, PlayStation All-Stars tournament, or represent your school in the MLB 13 Move Home Run Derby. And you don’t have to compete to win. There will be plenty of ways to take home some genuine PlayStation goodness – like the God of War: Ascension Legacy Bundle with the Garnet Red PS3, the Classic White PS3 Instant Game Collection Bundle or the PlayStation Vita Instant Game Collection Bundle. To make a long story short, if you play something on the PlayStation Campus Tour, you’ll have the chance to win it. That red PS3 would look awfully good in your dorm room, wouldn’t it?

Finally, everybody who RSVPs on Facebook and shows up will receive a one-month PlayStation Plus trial and their choice of an exclusive, unique discount code that can be redeemed for some serious savings on various PlayStation products.

When we announced the last PlayStation On Campus Tour, many of you voiced that you wanted to see more love for West coast schools – well, ask and you shall receive! This time around we made sure to include some great schools along the Golden Coast in the schedule. Here is a list of the first 11 out of over 40 stops on our tour:

  • Ouch, once again Miami isn’t on the list. In fact, all of Florida is passed by this time. Oh well. Hope the rest of you who get to attend enjoy it.

Hopefully Miami is added to the list a bit later on when it’s updated.

Side Note: The PlayStation Campus Tour link is broken.

  • No Los Angeles? UCLA or USC? Seriously? :/

  • Hell, they aren’t even coming to the east coast… Maybe in the summer?

  • No love for Chicago either.

  • Ooh! You could really be different and stop by Iowa State University. We’d love it. :)

  • No love for Austin? :(

  • wow Austin got passed up this time around…

  • oh 11 out of first 40…so there’s still hope!!

    • That’s right! There’s still plenty of schools that we plan on visiting this semester! Keep checking back for more updates!

  • UNLV finally! Thank you so much sony!

  • University of Maryland, Baltimore County needs some love. We’re a school filled with asian nerds that play video games too much.

Either you send us hot girls, ferarris, and rock bands

or you come visit us so we can embrace the nerd even more :P

  • No! Add Borough of Manhattan Community College to that list! Come to New York City!!!!

  • WHY DO YOU HATE MIZZOU?!

  • I really hope you can make it to Texas A&M University this time. I kept checking back when you did this last semester but it never got added.

  • Unrelated to this post…Can you please ask Sony to enable more remote-play & cross-controller games…I have 500 bucks to spend on games but I can only play on my vita due to everyone always hogging the television.I wouldve expected at the least all of the ps2 classics and hd collections to be enabled including Sly cooper,Infamous,Jak & Daxter Ratchet & Clank,Devil may cry collection etc….This should be a standard for upcoming games, why hasnt Sony stressed the importance of devs using these features…

  • some love for Arizona would be wonderful,we never get Playstation events here :c

  • Thanka again for showing support for New Jersey…………

  • I hope y’all make it to Texas. I’m not a student, but I do work there and would love to stop by on my lunch break.

  • Made my day to see this announcement! You guys were awesome when you stopped by UAHuntsville in Alabama, and it would be great if you could stop by again. I did have a question and a suggestion. Is it a mistype to say Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is being showcased instead of the unreleased Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus?

Also please have stations set up with Playstation All-Stars and Sly Cooper so people can demo the cross-play/cross-save feature. I don’t believe its emphasized how groundbreaking it is in the console gaming world to have this.

  • @12 BEYOND!

Forget Missouri, come to Kansas State!

  • YAY!! Thanks so much for replying! :D

  • pleeeeaasssse come to Arizona!

  • @25

  • You guys should stop somewhere in VA! Pleasseee??

  • Woo Cameron University! Liking that Oklahoma love!!!!!!!!!

  • Why wasn’t
U of Minnesota on the list.

  • Please come to University of Wisconsin – Parkside!
Our campus isn’t huge, but it sure is beautiful.

  • San Diego State, WOOO! I will stop by for sure!…maybe.

  • West Chester University of Pennsylvania, please! I’ve been a Sony die-hard since the original PlayStation, so I would be incredibly ecstatic if you came to WCU. Also, the recent announcement of free Deadlocked almost made me lose control of bladder I was so happy.

  • I just read that Superbot Entertainment’s All-Stars Battle Royale was awarded Fighting Game of the Year, along sides of Street Fighter X Tekken, Tekken Tag 2 and Soul Calibur V, which all are Fighting games veterans.

I was really happy to read that. I still can’t believe SCEA let go of such talents (even if they said their contract ended in good terms). Sure there’s still plenty of room for improvements and haven’t sold as much as you would expect it, but the game is great and a lot of fun and I’m pretty sure tens (maybe hundreds?) of thousands would agree with me.

The game would have done better sales-wise if SCEA had change their marketing team/affiliates sooner and before the game came out. Hopefully, their new affiliates/agents should be able to change that. :D

  • UNM!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU PLAYSTATION!!!!!!!! During the ballon fiesta in october, the tour bus was there and i was not able to make it so im lookin forward to makin it this time SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!
