You are a master at this, my friend.

You are not an example of the type of person who would be a Jew for Jesus or a convert. You’re representative of the majority of people who will not convert unless shown proof. You’ve stated it yourself. Conversion of religion is specifically an action that can only take place when proof is not required. It’s a change of heart. This is not what we’re talking about.

Again, I’ve already let you know that I’m not interested in “converting” you, so the charts aren’t necessary. I have already started building a comparison over the year of EU and NA, prior to and after the introduction of the new IGC, but I will not be including prices. Why? because you and I both know that hunting prices that changed over the course of the year for two different regions is a wild goose chase.

I think I can handle the conversion myself if I can get the prices, but thanks for the offer. And again, I’m always impressed by your tenacity to argue with me, and that’s not sarcasm.

Vanquish [ us store price: 19.99]
Plants vs zombies [ us store price: 10.49]
    Total store value=70.45″

so you’re admiting you received more then $70 worth of “free” games in 1 month that you got for a $50 per year service (techincally a $4.17 per month service when doing the math)…sounds like you received more then your sub is worth! wow dude, Sony hates you so much! lol

  • @DaGimp13

“Tell you what Joe, add me, make the full list of games for 2012 for each region, along with each games regional price (in proper currency), I’ll do all the conversions and math/charts for you. if you’re right, I’ll fight your cause. but if you’re proven wrong that similar services shouldnt be the same, will you finally end this?”

Lol, looking forward to working with you…..:)

  • @ goldenratio13

Again, I don’t want to seem like I’m just trying to argue with you. But regardless of whether or not your dog is “stupid” doesn’t mean anything. The comparison to your beloved pet was meant as a strike against the group you were speaking of. Are you really telling me you equate those wanting particular games without buying them as similar to the positive traits your dog has? The traits you love him/her for?

Come on, golden, you’re splitting hairs.

Anyway, all I’m saying is, everyone deserves a speaking chance without being berated for it. Regardless of how stupid it may be. Do you not agree to that basic idea?

  • @twindad

Agreed. I think at this point, the dlc is a bigger payday for bioware than the actual game. I did a short tally the other day, and the dlc alone was $85. Plus their releasing the new Citadel dlc next month for $14.99

  • @joe

so wait, I offer my help to create the charts to prove your point for you so I can be on your side, and you still don’t want the evidence that would not only prove it to myself, but many others, including gaming media industry, the other “non-believers”, and most importantly, the minds behind what you discern as an abhorence in disparity? c’mon dude, if you just want to continue on when the other side is willing to work nonpartisan on the proof, and you still want to kick and scream, it just makes you look that much more like there truly is no huge disparity like claimed.

  • @joegoodsnake2

Understood. I think you and I may agree more than we know. Yes there a lot of trolls that come out to play every Monday, no doubt.

  • @dagimp i have never said i have not gotten my moneys worth for what im paying im try to say that for the same service where the price is not that much of a differance there is a major gap between what one region gets to another in quailty that we should be receiving as well when the price differance is only about 2.5 usd

  • Eu gets

    Febuary for Europe PS Plus:

    Why SCEA you hate us?

  • @joegoodsnake2

“And I won’t lie, it’s slightly fun to argue with even the harshest and best debaters.”

Same here my friend, I enjoy sparring with the sharpest minds in the PS universe.

  • @ goldenratio13

I think so too, I also just buy any games I want anyway (plus I prefer having the hard copy over digital any day and have done so for games I aleady have like Infamous 2, just to own it.) and have already gotten an EU+ account just to stop feeling any jealousy. I think I may have come off a little aggressive or reactionary due to my constantly dealing with trolls, and I apologize for lumping you in the same category myself. I’m guilty of the same generalising I am trying to avoid, so I have to keep an eye out for that.

Thanks for being cool about it.

  • @Token

thats great then, as you’re totally getting your monies worth. but when you did your list, you forgot the other regions, and what those regional prices were (not just EU, need other regions as well.) if we’re going to make an issue of this, we have to be fair and fight for the other regions with disparity as well, correct? or is this campaign self-centered?

  • @joegoodsnake2

Oh and I’m on the clock too :-D

  • @goldenratio

I didn’t know they had that much DLC.

I avoid games with DLC until the “GOTY” game comes out including DLC. However in case of something like this if it was on sale and maybe $30 for the DLC I would consider it a good value.

    @Joegoodness,

Agreed. We are entitled to our own opinion without being berated for it. Including the people who just cut and paste the same EU PS+ posting. I see no harm in doing it and I think Morgan has the point of what they value.

  • @Death_by_wabbit

looking forward to it. again, I need each title given away for each region, NONE can be left out. each region means all regions. I’ll also need each regions price on each title in that regions currency format. once I have all that, I can get started. this will either prove the disparity, or prove that similar services are similar and not the same.

  • “And I won’t lie, it’s slightly fun to argue with even the harshest and best debaters.”

“Same here my friend, I enjoy sparring with the sharpest minds in the PS universe.”

As long as you guys are having fun….

  • @ DaGimp13

I think you already showed your colors in comment 700 when you looked at only half of what token showed you to show that he got value at all, rather than comparing to the value that EU received that month. I wouldn’t be talking about still wanting to kick and scream after that comment, if I were you.

And if you really want to help, I already got a working list, why don’t you go get me some prices?

Let’s start with EU November 2011:

Hydrophobia: Prophecy (PSN) – 100% off
Rumble Trucks (mini) – 100% off
Where is my Heart (mini) – 100% off
Crash Bandicoot (PSone) – 100% off
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (PSone) – 100% off
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (PSone) – 100% off
Crash Team Racing (PSone) – 100% off

    Looking forward to that pricelist.

  • and getting paid apparently :P

  • Plants Vs Zombies?! Sweet! Lots of complaints as usual, but we think this is a wicked awesome update. This is one of those games that we’ve wanted to buy, but kept putting off. Big deal it’s the Vita version and not PS3. If you’re a true PS gamer, you’d have a Vita anyway!

  • @joegoodsnake2

No worries. I enjoy the debates. For me its not about winning, but the exchange of ideas. Hey, I may be wrong on some things and that’s ok with me.

  • @ death_by_wabbit and goldenratio13

Nothing beats being paid for it :P, I’m really lucky to have this job, it’s lax as hell and has good pay.

    @TwinDad

Yep, even the most annoying guy, if he’s a paying customer, should have a right to speak his mind without worrying about being trolled. I don’t think that will ever happen, but at least some of us agree on that.

  • @joe

sounds good dude, I’ll start on those this afternoon. we’ll get to the bottom of this. whether we agree or not on this issue, I feel our efforts will improve PS+ in some manner or another, whether it be for all subbers, or be it one region. add me on PSN so I can send you my email address and we can have a much more full discussion on it.

  • @DaGimp13
I truly don’t care, I was merely have some fun at your expense. Besides, you have said nothing that leads me to believe that you will honor that agreement anyway. Once all the facts are laid out….if at first you don’t succeed, narrow your definitions

  • @goldenratio 13 i agree its about the exchange of idea i was in dabate in high and went to regionals my first years i was good at i like the exchange of ideas as long as it civil and polite

  • @ DaGimp13

Not that I want to discourage you or anything, but I was almost certain that finding prices on items a year ago for two regions (more if you want to do the full comparison as you stated) was nigh impossible. Would you mind if I asked what source you’re going to be using to get prices from November 2011 for EU?

  • If i buy Sound shapes for PSVITA, am i gonna get the PS3 version too ?

  • @Silver_shion

    Yep

  • another cool thing I just discovered for the first time, I bought Sly Cooper Thieves in Time on blu-ray through Gamefly. on the disk itself was an activation icon that gave me the PSVita version for free. Super nifty :)

  • um morgan….the sale xbox live is having now that goes on for a week…and its bieng updated every day till march 4. this plus update is laughable….they r saling QUALITY GAMES FOR 75% OFF. Even titles that r less than a year and a half old. will sony care or try to counter it…..probably not. they will give a sale like that….to europe plus members. oh well thank god my wife got a 360 this past weekned…plants vs zombie. wow.

  • @BBOOK77

I’m confused. Just last month we had the 13 for 13′ sale where the games were 75% off for P+

  • I’m almost considering moving to EU PS+ cause their selection is looking real good.
    plants vs zombies for VITA?

i don’t even own a vita where’s the PS3 Version of this game?
i’ll give PS+ up to April to wow me with something. if not consider this my last subscription until PS4

i’ll go to EU PS+ maybe i can still catch Sleeping Dogs.

  • @blind_lunacy sleeping dogs leaves eu on march 6th

  • is plants vs zombies also going free to europe?

  • @joe

I’ll use the PS blogs for each region and the respective stores as well. just like we can go back and search specific months, items etc in our blogs, same can be done for other regions.

  • @joe i figure by using the blogs, they’ll show what original prices were before sales, price drops, etc. I’ve been able to do that for US blog, so I think EU and JP should work similar…

  • also, if I don’t respond right away, it’s due to talking to family members I did’t know existed, and we recently contacted each other, so it’s pretty much a giant reunion at this point, a little overwhelming, but no fears, definitely working on this with you, as I said before, it will either prove the point you’ve been making, or it’ll prove similar services are similar.

  • @ DaGimp13

No worries at all, it will most likely take a bit of time anyway if we’re doing a full year. And the blogs are a great idea, I should have been taking prices down along with those lists. I’m going to go back and do that once my original draft is done.

I’m planning on posting this on the forums, as you once suggested. Hopefully it will garner more attention from both sides of the camp there.

  • Looking at PvZ right now on my Vita, and it says $10.49. FAIL!

  • @ kmac777

They advertise the update as Tuesday, but if you’re on the east coast like myself, it’s closer to Wednesday. Expect it to show up around 6 – 9PM EST.

  • @738 thats cuz the store hasnt updated yet it normally happens later in the day

  • Long time reader; first time commenter. OMG people! Quit “pissin’ and moanin’ about what you do or don’t get for PS Plus! Just remember how much you pay a month for this INSANELY Awesome benefit! (Less than a single Arby’s roast beef sandwich!) And for those that are complaining about what Europe is getting; move there and you will get what you are longing for!!!!! Nevermind that gas is about $10/gallon. We’ll miss you :)

  • Is pants vs zombies for vita any good ?

  • I might pick up Unit 13 but worried it will go free soon…

  • @joe

that was my idea, if you can actually show the price disparity, not title disparity, then value disparity becomes more apparent, meaning more individuals like myself, Sevyne, and so on would be more willing to help fight your battle. as Morgan has always said as well, value is dependant on what games peak your particular interest, so if after currency conversions theres not a huge price disparity, we’ll know that the services are similar, but geared to regional interests as well. this will then mean with hard evidence that Sony will have to step up their system in those affected regions. we’ll essentially create a more equal PS+, which is your overall goal, or possibly a one world PS+, where all regions either receive all the same games, or at least the same price value after currency conversions. the worst that will happen is we find that there is a huge disparity, which againSony has to fix then, or we don’t, and it’s all been for nothing. but you’re right, it’s best to attract the attention of others with a beautiful plumage of peacocking proof, rather then a delightful song. birds of a feather bro.

  • Morgan, if you get Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for March NA+, I’ll subscribe for another year.

    You got a deal? :P

  • mmmmm too bad plants vs zombies its not from PS3 :(

I hope to see Journey free for PS+ soon again

    So far i like PS+ ;)

Plants vs Zombies is all kinds of awesome, either version. I can’t wait for pants vs zombies though…I got some wicked jeans and a nice butt lmao jk

  • @ DaGimp13

Looking forward to it, and if there is no price disparity or a negligible one (less than a buck or two a month), then I’ll throw in the towel myself. Reason being that if the “savings value” per month is that close in comparison, then you’re right, the difference would have to be attributed to regional interests (although, saying that, we need some damn RPGs on NA’s side since it was the majority vote a few months back). But at least I won’t have reason to complain.

I suggest keeping all the links to each of the updates btw. I’ve been doing that on my end, I’m assuming people would want to see the page we get our info from.

  • @ joe

Of course, we wouldn’t want to be called plagerizers, now would we? lol jk yea, it’s a great idea, so people can reference for themselves and it will make it that much more obvious to others like myself who either don’t see it, or have cared because the proof has been lacking.

  • @joegoodsnake2 and DaGimp13

Although commendable, I’m not sure this is going to result in any changes. Why? Because the problem doesn’t appear to be on Sony’s end. I could be wrong, but the issue seems to be with the publisher of said franchise. As Morgan stated yesterday, the same game publisher has offices in separate regions of the world, in many cases negotiating separate deals. So if Bethesda or Ubisoft decides to enter into an agreement with SCEE, they are under no obligation to do something similar on this side of the pond. Maybe Sony’s hands are tied in this regard. I don’t know.
