I lost all interest in God of War: Ascension after Sony Santa Monica pulled the bait-and-switch with the Kratos statue in the Collector’s Edition. I don’t like having the value of something I pre-order reduced, especially when it is done in a sneaky and under-handed manner.

Finished the game and it was great. I do agree that the story is not much compared to I or III but it looks and plays amazing! The game was shorter than I expected but that should not deter anyone from buying this game. If you can’t afford to buy it you can always rent it.

Not another one of these mediocre bare bones shallow Glob of War games. So, sans multiplayer, this will be the 7th game in the series that is exactly the same?

Oh, let me guess, Kratos is going to be angry again, since that character does not have any depth whatsoever.

Ive been a fan of the God Of War games from day one. sure the story will will be amazing and all but after God Of War 3 i thought the saga came to a close with a bold franchise. And here they are back again not only they made another God Of War game (With all do with respect) WHY just WHY would you add mutiplayer to God Of War? In my eyes, God Of War was ALWAYS a single player game that kept you at the edge of your seat with every move you made or combo you did. They should of made the game where Kratos and the other cast had mutiple choice thoughts and see how it effects the ending of the game. But i really think mutiplayer wasnt the brightest idea. All hail the mighty Kratos. Thanks for reading. Game on video gamers!! :)

As a long time fan of the Saga, my approach/intention to buy this game day 1 is to appreciate the hard work the Developers have put up to make this game better. It will suck if we ever see this franchise banish or even the studio itself. We have to support and respond to the Developers. Number one reason why we have patiently awaited their project.

So my pre-ordered copy stands ON and I will pick up 2 copies more too, no matter the reviews or critics!
Keep it up Sony Santa Monica Studio and SCEA.

Yeah you are right! I’m about 6 hours into the game and i’ve spotted the sound lag a few times.
The game is EPIC! but i feel GOW3 had 0 flaws…

I just bought GOW from retail. Played through an hour of the game, and THE SOUND LAG is really pissing away what is suppose to be an epic game. PLEASE, i humbly ask, FIX THIS PROBLEM.

SCEA I’ve heard from every site that has already reviewed gow ascension that the Trials of Arquimedes is unnecessary punishing, unfair, with a ridiculous difficulty, Are you going to patch it?
I’m not afraid of the challenge hehehe, i’ve plat every gow game , but sounds that is cheap and not a challenge. Not something fun apparently.
