  • Nice PS+ sale this week :) …. Do we get out $10 dollars back (Spend $50 get $10 back) before this sale ends Morgan?

  • Dammit… now I have to be even more careful. I’ve already stopped buying almost anything at launch that doesn’t get a PS+ discount, but even that content isn’t safe. escapeVektor launched on January 22nd with a 20% discount. I thought that a launch discount would indicate it would be a while before Plussers saw it again… now it’s $4.49 for PS+… I realize it’s a great discount for people who didn’t buy it the first time or who joined Plus in the last two months, but crap like this makes it really hard to buy anything at a small discount when I could just wait and save even more on it later. And this can’t be tossed aside as “Oh, things fall in price with time!”, because no, it’s still a $10 game. It’s just getting a second, steeper, Plus discount. And Just Cause 2 and Lara Croft GoL were both IGC launch free games…
I’ve tried being supportive of PS+, but really… the longer the IGC goes on for, the more redundant content is being shoved into it, and people who actually spend money rather than just demanding what games they get free are getting screwed over by the way the program is run now, compared to pre-IGC Plus. I am really disappointed.

  • dang it,already had D3 as well as the other games already for PS+ this yr,its been real weak for me all these updates for 2013 so far :(

  • I love Tuesdays :)
    Thanks guys great PS+ update

  • If I used $49.96 do I still get my $10 next month? @_@ I have 26 cents in my wallet still.

  • these discounts suck

  • Oh if more people had bought Darksiders 2 maybe THQ would still be around, shame on all of your for not buying it.
As for the other stuff in the THQ sale hell I might just have to buy all of it.

  • This week’s IGC update for Disgaea 3 really puts the PS Plus membership over the top in value for me as someone who owns a Vita, but not a PS3.

  • Anyone have a list of the US games for April?

  • Eh, I already have Disgaea 3 =)….

  • Hey Morgan, cool update, quick question, can you download a game’s timed trial and then when you buy it or receive it on ps+ you just unlock it like psn games?

  • Thanks for clearing it up Morgan.

  • EU Playstation Plus Updates for April

    PS3
    Okami HD
    TLOTR: War from the North
    The Cave

    PSV
    Zero Escape
    Thomas Was Alone

Is it me or are these NOT the best updates EU has come with. Is it possible that NA can top EU?

  • Hey Morgan– I’m assuming if a game is in the IGC, and I download it or place it in my download queue, and I remain a Plus member, I can download it (or re-download it) after it’s gone from the IGC.

Case in point: my hard drive is full at the moment, and I have slotted Spec Ops into the download queue (it’s viewable in the “My Downloads” section). If I don’t download it before Tuesday, and I go to download it in several weeks, will I still be able to download it? Also, I did fully download a couple of other games that were in the IGC a while back but have since been rotated out, but deleted them to make hard drive space. Am I going to have problems re-downloading them when I’m ready to play them in the future and go to re-download them?

Hope that isn’t too confusing, and thanks in advance for the answers. Again it’s my assumption that as long as I remain Plus, and as long as I’ve “purchased” them while the games were in the IGC, I can re-downloaded them at any point in the future after they’re rotated out of the IGC.

    • You are exactly right. As long as it’s in your download list, you can access this content at any time as long as you’re a PS Plus member. It does not have to be currently in the IGC.

  • Darksiders 2 at a saweeet price…thx a bunch :)

  • financial sexiness ???? sayy whattt shadow ??”??

  • No chance of this ever coming to Oz/NZ? The spend $50 get $10 thing I mean. Also… are the THQ games gone for ever? Forever ever? What if I get the DLC from the US store, will that work with my NZ version of the game?

  • That’s a pretty crappy SE sale to be honest.

Probably pick up de Blob 2 for that price.

  • @114 FranklynStreet – Once a Plus freebie is in your Download List, it’s available for your use whenever you’re subscribed to Plus, even if you lapse your subscription; you’ll have to be online for games with an older expiration date to update that date, should you have added more time to Plus since it was downloaded to your system. The exception is Full Game Trials, which look purchased, but will show as previously owned an hour after they’re booted up (or a year after being added to the Download List).

@Morgan – Since I’m on that subject, I’ve realized that my inFAMOUS 2 shows up with a Plus expiration, despite buying it in the pre-IGC sales *grumble*. Tangentially, I got inFAMOUS from the Welcome Back Program, and it still isn’t showing in the Store right (one of those “not available to [purchase] because you own it” snafus).

  • I think Kingdoms of Amalur would be a viable -and great- addition to the IGC. The PS3 IGC is in need of an RPG and KoA could be the title to fill that niche, at least for a time. It is still relatively new and was generally met with positive reviews from critics and gamers alike. For whatever reason, though, KoA was overlooked by many a gamer, perhaps in part due to the financial struggles of the now-defunct 38 Studios.

It’s a title that deserves recognition and, having just undergone a price drop on PSN to match retail pricing, may now be an easier sell to be included in the IGC. In addition, it has a few DLC packs which could help to monetize the whole thing. In fact, players may be more inclined to pick up a pack or two knowing they got the game for free.

  • Please, please, please put Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine Ultimate Edition on sale. Question: how do I read reviews on the PS store?

  • As for Plus:

    1) GET THE COSTUME QUEST BUNDLE. It and Stacking (which you should also get) have an expansion each, and there should be game+expansion bundles for ’em. CQ is a light JRPG with charm & humor, Stacking is a puzzle/adventure game with multiple approaches to each puzzle.

    2) /THAT’S/, DISGAEA…THREE? Sorry, D4’s trailer’s still in my head. Anyone with space on their Vita (MediaGo doesn’t have Vita support), give the series a try. It pride itself on breaking “ridiculous” to awesome levels. If ROGs are all about numbers, Disgaea takes more numbers than should exist!

    3) From the EU Plus, I’d love to see Ōkami HD, Zero Escape, and Thomas Was Alone, even though I don’t have a Vita. Are either of those last two Cross-Buy or PSP? *too lazy to check*

    4) Anyone who wants to purchase a title they got for free, find its Transaction Number in your purchases history and contact Customer Support. They may be willing to “refund” you, since there was no price on those.

  • More crap updates, if you’re PS+ and don’t own a stupid VITA you are out of alot of the discounts/updates. The last 3 months have been crap and haven’t really “used” more than 3 things from +:

VITA game, if you don’t own one then you got a goose egg this week.

Darksiders 2 for $28? It’s been like $8 for PC and like $15 for the PS3, great “sale” guys.

How about a Playstation All-stars Battle Royal sale for $19.99? Then maybe i’ll buy some DLC for it.

  • And Plus requests:

FULL GAMES: BioShock, Dead Space, Mirror’s Edge

PSP GAMES: Dead Head Fred, Half-Minute Hero (“JRPG”), Lunar: Silver Star Harmony (JRPG), The Legend of Heroes: Tales in the Sky (JRPG), Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles (only the first do I not have on UMD)

PLAYSTATION CLASSICS: …like, at all. minis, too, and access to PS Mobile from the Store.

  • @122 – I meant to ask if MediaGo does or doesn’t have support from MediaGo. I only use PSP, so I’unno.

  • Hey @Morgan Haro can you tell me when the demo for Soul Sacrifice will be out on the North American PSN?

  • @124 – Aaaand to clarify, I meant, “of these PSP titles, only DHF do I not have on UMD.” Plus members are clamoring for RPGs, and the PSP has played host to several in that genre, woefully disserviced in the States by the PSP’s lackluster support and reception.

  • If I spend 49.97, will I be able to get the 10 dollars next month? Also a gravity rush dlc pack sale would be cool. Or you could add them into a single pack for a buck cheaper or something.

  • Finally a decent month of US Plus that has convinced me to re-activate my account. Please keep it up.

  • Those sales are weeeeeeaaaaaak. Wish I had a Vita for Disgaea. Good month though. Looking forward to April!

  • Saving my money for Defiance next week! Thanks for Disgaea though, this game is much better portable

  • umm i just checked my us psn store and i was wondering where is the free disgaea?? and also machinarium

  • Hi, Morgan.
I hope you answer this question.
Does this RF:Armageddon digital include the recon pack and ruin mode that every physical copy of RF:A contains?
    Thanks.

  • Thumbs up to the Full Game Preview for Bioshock Infinite. I may have to check that out if it isn’t too big to download.

I wish most of the other PS3 Full Games released in the last few months had them, but I think you already said that it’s a publisher decision for those. : /

  • @rscayab2064
The store updates on Tuesday afternoon-evening, not on Monday.

  • @132

    Yup, that’s tomorrow.

  • @Morgan – I think @45 “zingakun” was asking about purchasing games that he already has as a part of his IGC.
For instance, he already has “Lara Croft And The Guardian Of Light” as part of his IGC, but he’d still like to *own* it, and wants to buy it while it’s on sale.

Problem for Plus+ users is that we don’t seem to be able to purchase this content if it’s already considered “purchased” through IGC.

Any workarounds for that, is what I believe he was asking.

Thanks for the updates in any case!

  • Yes, Disgaea 3 finally!! Man, I’ve been waiting all week for this!!
Thank GOD that the THQ sale doesn’t include Saints Row 3… I just bought it like 3 days ago!!

Also, does anyone know if EDF: 2017 Portable will stay on sale until we get the rebate for the March $50 promotion?

  • When does plus update tomorrow ? Can’t Wait !

  • @137
Yes, Hushed, that’s why I think a lot before to rent one of those games, because apparently there’s no way to buy them later when they’re on sale.

  • @140 – And ultimately that feels like a bug that should be corrected in some capacity.

  • Disgaea is the only JRPG series I’ll touch… and by touch I mean get obsessed with it for the next half of a year AT LEAST. Thank you, Morgan. :D

  • I hope April brings some nice games for PS3! Darksiders was the last thing that got me excited on Plus.

  • I’m getting really tired of people saying that Vita being a part of plus is taking away from PS3 offerings because they don’t get a game the last week of the month. It has ALWAYS been this way even before Vita was added to Plus. You have lost absolutely NOTHING so stop saying you are. You are just complaining about the problem that does not even exist.

Now that that is out of the way (and will help in no way. they’ll still do it every week), the sales kind of suck. Hell, Darksiders 2 has been under $15 on PS3 almost every week somewhere on sale and even cheaper on PC.

To create a little balance against my complaint though, I am very happy for Disgaea 3. Here’s hoping next month can deliver as well. March was the first time in a long time I was very satisfied with Plus. Keep it going now!

  • NOOOOOooooOOOOoooOOOOoo!! I’m an absolute fan of Disgaea, but I don’t have a vita… :'(

Would have been nice to have it on the PS3.

  • Damn! No new SoundShapes DLC tomorrow :(

  • @145: Well you could just select it on the PS3 so it sticks in your downloads list. If you ever decide to get a Vita then Disgaea 3 will be waiting for you with open arms. :)

  • Say “dude” one more time! I dare you. I double dog dare you!

  • The EU PS+ update for April is amazing, hopefully we get something decent in comparison next month.

  • Why do you want me to say “dude”, DOOD?!
