PlayStation Campus Tour Update

Michael Steranka's Avatar Posted by on Mar 28, 2013 // Sony Interactive Entertainment

The PlayStation Campus Tour has been on the road for six weeks now, and we’re only halfway done! A lot has happened since we launched in February and we wanted to take this opportunity to give you guys a few updates. The PlayStation community team recently met up with us on campus and put together a video to showcase some of the things we’re doing.

What’s New

When we announced this tour, many of you took to the PS.Blog comments section and Twitter to try to get your school added to our list of stops. Well, ask and you shall receive! We’ve added many of the schools you requested to our routing, including the University of Arizona, Mizzou, the University of Kansas, and more. You can find an up-to-date list of remaining confirmed schools below, but be sure to check the PS Campus Tour page or our Events tab on Facebook, as we’re still adding schools to the list all the time.

Date School Facebook Page
March 28-29 CSU Long Beach RSVP Here
March 28-29 University of Utah RSVP Here
April 1-2 Metropolitan State University of Denver RSVP Here
April 4-5 University of Nevada – Reno RSVP Here
April 8-9 Utah Valley University RSVP Here
April 8-9 Creighton University RSVP Here
April 11-12 Colorado Mesa University RSVP Here
April 11-12 Upper Iowa University RSVP Here
April 15-16 Colorado State University RSVP Here
April 15-16 Iowa State University RSVP Here
April 18-19 University of Colorado RSVP Here
April 18-19 University of Missouri RSVP Here
April 22-23 University of Kansas RSVP Here
April 22-23 Washington University RSVP Here

In addition to new schools, we’re also bringing new games to our lineup often. This week we added Bioshock Infinite (WARNING: if you play this game, you will end up buying it). Of course, we like to sprinkle in some competitive spirit, so keep an eye out for daily contests with awesome prizes that range from a PS3 or PS Vita bundle to copies of the games we’re featuring. One of our most popular contests is the MLB 13 Home Run Derby, where we’ll crown a winning school, as well as one nationwide individual champion. Currently, the individual high score belongs to Richard B from CSU San Marcos with 42 home runs, but the overall school leader is the University of Arizona with 1,795! Do you think you and your school can top that?

This will likely be our final PS.Blog update for the Spring tour, but stay connected with us on Twitter at @HeyPlayStation for the latest PlayStation Campus Tour news. Let us know in the comments below what other schools you think we should go to — we’ll do our best to get them added!

You should’ve planned to also stop at the university of central Missouri. It’s between KU and MU.

Our staff gives out special PlayStation prizes to those who show that they’ve RSVP’d on Facebook, but it’s not required to go and enjoy yourself :). You can also win tons of other prizes by competing in our daily competitions at the event!

You guys should come to Missouri S&T! The entire school is full of nerds, and most of us are gamers too. You choose to go to our sister school Mizzou, instead of us for some reason :(. They may have more students than us, but I bet we have way more gamers that would love to hang out at the event!
