New on Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited

Here’s the latest download on new music this week on the Music Unlimited service. For the full story, check out the Sony Entertainment Network blog, but this week’s highlights include:

Tyler, The Creator – Wolf
New on SEN 4-5-2013

Tyler, The Creator has never been one for a quiet entrance, but the Odd Future ringleader seems to be doing so with Wolf. Sure, a few of his usual antics have been done for show (like asking reviewers not to talk about the album for a week until fans could make their own judgments. Whoops.) but the twist and turns of a relatively young man’s fame have re-focused the rapper on his primary goal – making the music that got him there in the first place. The album was solely produced by him and, unlike Goblin, he puts his energy into the beats and the overall aesthetic of these songs as a whole rather than the bursts of controversy that may have isolated fans from a very talented artist. Also featuring: Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt, Pharrell, Erykah Badu and more.
If You Like: Odd Future, Tech N9ne, MF Doom
Recommended Track: “Parking Lot”

Killswitch Engage – Disarm The Descent
New on SEN 4-5-2013

Longtime fans of Killswitch Engage are getting a bittersweet taste with this new album, which features former vocalist Jesse Leech, who rejoined the band 10 years after his final album when Howard Jones left the band in 2012. A band that has grown together over time moving forward with the creative force of the past, which brings an interesting perspective into every track. The demons that kept Leech from his lead vocal duties are explored as titles like “A New Awakening,” “The Hell in Me,” and “In Due Time,” as he gears up for the heavy touring and duties of a band member again. The band is doing a run through Europe this month, winding down in May at a few festivals in the Midwest.
If You Like: All that Remains, Escape the Fate, Atreyu
Recommended Track: “Blood Stains”

The Band Perry – Pioneer
New on SEN 4-5-2013

In a crowded space of country groups, the synergy of the Perry siblings (Kimberly, Neil and Reid) has set them apart from the rest. They are in no way pioneering this group anymore, as their massive hit, “If I Die Young,” was followed by two other top charting singles before the band went back in to record this sophomore effort. The first two singles shot off immediately, with “Better Dig Two,” souring to #1 on the radio charts. The band wrote nine of the 12 tracks on the album, with legendary producer Rick Rubin at the helm for production and creative direction. They hit a handful of colleges the next few months before embarking on the Live & Loud Changed Tour with Rascal Flatts andThe Voice winner, Cassadee Pope.
If You Like: Lady Antebellum, Sugarland, Rascal Flatts.
Recommended Track: “Done”

  • When I try access this site they inform that the service are not available to my country.

If I signature in PS3 I also can not use?

  • I wonder why the “Movie Unlimited” is not like “Music Unlimited”, that is, an unlimited service. I’d love to pay for a service like Netflix but with Sony (who already have my credit card number, lol).

PS: Django THE movie I want to watch!! ^_^

  • @Matheus

The service is US only that I am aware of.

You use the same sign on for the PS3, it however checks to see if your account is US.

  • Best $12 I’ve ever spent. I get to choose what I wan to listen to for my current mood. If they have the year subscription going forward for a reasonable price $5/month, I’ll keep my subscription after the PS+ special.

  • for playstation plus members it should only be 12. there is no way id pay 60 bucks a year for something i can get from pandora for free. granted sony music unlimited does have a lot of extra features but in a time where people can download anything they want illegally i feel they should take that into account.. i paid for music unlimited because it was a great deal to check it out but i still find myself choosing pandora when it comes to puttin on random music of the style i like…. music unlimited is good when you want to listen to something specifc.. i havent really liked the radio type services and i hope they improve it because i am a loyal sony fan boy hehe i would love for music unlimiteds radio service to beat out pandoras but it def needs wor….
and as for the video unlimited i wish they had a netflix service as well maybe they can change it so that the bigger budget movies are pay per view and the older movies are on a netflix type service
