  • @Morgan:
Fantastic titles I agree, but lackluster when you take a closer look.
Other regions get big budget, AAA, still selling at full retail PS3 games back to back. Than you look at the US, 4 year old, bargain bin, worst selling games for a reason in recent history titles every single month. I hear PS+ IGC is all about giving the customer a title they wouldn’t normal go for, but if that were the case than it should be the case for every region and not the US alone.

I’ve gotten my monies worth in Vita/PSP titles alone and I thank you guys so much for that, but the PS3 side of things is so minimal it’s embarrassing. I take pride in being a US Plus subscriber and want it to be everything it can be, that’s the only reason I’m speaking up now, but since the beginning of this program we’ve been laughed at by the other regions so bad it’s shameful.

  • Question: Is Code Veronica the HD edition???

  • I would definitely prefer more PS Vita games and a few PSP gems every now and then. PS Plus in general has been over saturated with fighting games, which is one of the most niche genres out there. How about we get everything else? action games, RPGs, adventure games, puzzle games, etc. In general, I just want quality content consistently and some variety which you guys have been doing well so far.

  • hope the update will be at a more regular time today…
stil undecided on Dragon Fantasy though :/

I would rather 70% Vita, 30% PSP (for the Vita IGC)

  • @221: If you don’t see the total fail in your logic, then lawd help ya. Spec Ops: The Line selling poorly is a reason it shouldn’t be up on PS+? Really? That just means many of us have never played it. And it is a great game.

I’m with ya on Demon’s Souls though. Why bother at this point. BUT, people like to get great old ass popular games considering how often people want them on PS+.

  • @Assais Yes it’s the hd version. Well worth the money. It’s my favorite RE ever. I am amazed at all the whining today. Do you guys expect a brand new AAA game every week for $4 a month?

  • you clearly need to higher new market researchers… I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come with the PS4. Lets all be honest. While i love my PSVITA there is absolutely nothing worth playing especially when you consider the poor storage situation.

  • I do not think bad put psp games on psn +, but the PSP library is much more than just fighting games. Where are the classics psp?

  • Crap, I just bought RE4 last thursday/friday, anyway I can get a refund for the difference?

  • Thanks to the Vita and the sale, it’ll be my first time playing the Resident Evil series.

  • Oh man, seeing the “retail price” of a 3 and a 1/2 year old PSP game @ $40 is kinda funny. Just my personal opinion, giving us PSP games as justification for “Vita content” is just as bad as giving us a PS2 or PS1 game saying that is out PS3 content. Kinda feels like an insult to subscribers. I would stick to latest platform releases and avoid giving away games that are over 3 years old… which again is another insult to subscribers since most people who care enough to get PS+ likely have played all the older big titles like Demon’s Souls and such.

  • I am extremely disappointed with what has be on playstation plus lately. Fighting games are great but the selection of fighting games have not been good. Two psp titles and the graphics are horrible they make me forget I am playing on a Vita maybe one of the better fighters would be more accepted. like umvc3 or sfxt maybe even persona? If not a fighting game can we please get some good titles from other genres. Being a fighting game fan I hope you guys do not stop adding fighting games but please take my comment into consideration and add better titles in the future.

  • If it’s not too much to ask could we please have some rpgs in plus too. I liked that we got Disgaea 3 for vita sadly I can’t play it since I don’t have a vita yet. If you could take my post into future consideration it’d be greatly appreciated. ^3^

  • Hitman Absolution next month what about Red Dead Redemption and Sine mora.

  • I’m really new to this whole PS+ stuff, and was wondering what it meant when Disgaea 3 was leaving PS Vita PS+? Does it mean that I cannot play it anymore for free? Disgaea was one of the main reasons I signed up, and now a mere week afterwards, will I no longer be able to play it???

  • wth? europe gets all the great deals and we get a psp game? like really?

  • Does digital version of Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen include the original one? If so, how come it doesn’t say anything about it in the game’s description??

  • @265 it means you have to hurry up and download it for free cuz it won’t be free much longer. But once you have downloaded a game it’s yours forever as long as you have a plus subscription. Hope my comment helps.

  • Sweet, thank you so much, Gwen_Allstaria! I am very relieved to hear that!

  • Wanna kill two birds with one stone? Use the PSP game’s slot to fulfill the RPG requests. So many RPGs, both ports and originals. And since RPGs (or JRPGs, at least) focus so much on story, they’re not so outmoded by later releases as fighting, racing, and sports games are.

(And… yaaay for more posts that seem to think Europe’s Plus outlooks are all pushing that same week.)

@265 agentbystry – It will no longer be available to ADD to your account. If it’s already added (simply check your Download List, Transaction History, or its Store page), then it’s yours for whenever you’re subscribed.

@259 Hayterfan – https://blog.playstation.com/2013/04/09/spring-fever-hits-psn-four-new-titles-day-one-ps-plus-discounts-2/ (check “Spring Fever Franchise Sale”)

  • Nothing on PS3 side for free but I do jump on these sales like the GTA sale last week. I have Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition from PS+ a few months ago ;-) I’m thinking Resident Evil 4 for sure, my friends say it is a great game. Anyone played RE6? I hear differing opinions but mainly bad. What about Raccoon City?

RE5 was kinda cool but I couldn’t find enough ammo to fight the mobs early on. I’m a Borderlands guy where the ammo and guns are aplenty. haha.

  • And maybe lack of ammo is the point, run! But I like Borderlands, gimme ammo. haha.

  • Hey Morgan!

Based on your response with #30, I want to add my two cents. I’m good with PSP games, but please mix it up a bit. We’ve gotten two PSP fighters on two consecutive months. If we get another one next month it will be pure absurdity. Like what #30 said, fighting games is still a niche, and we’ve had one too many.

And for PSP games I hope that we get the more recent ones, if not the classic ones. It’s not really bad to have a some PSP titles on the IGC specially for those that didn’t have a PSP before. I believe as of recent the division of the Vita IGC have been 3 first-party retail (when will you guys refresh this?), and 3 of either PSP and/or PSN titles and/or another retail release. In any case I welcome any new ones on the IGC, but please mix it up a bit. Any chance of P4G on the IGC? I kid, I kid, but desperately hoping lol.

  • Monster Hunter would have been a nice PSP game for PS plus considering Soul Sacrifice releases this month.

  • Is RE4 move enabled?

So I’m thinking that I’m getting Virtues Last Resort next month on IGC?

Not really into much from this month, but as usual packed them into my DL list, just because dey free man. I know I’ll get something more my speed next month. Maybe MGS HD? Still playing P4G when I could, so I can wait a bit.

And I have a boatload in reserves….I like that, I think I will refer to them like that from now on, “backlog” makes it sound like a chore to play.

  • I’ll love to see Little Big Planet Vita on PS+…

  • Please tell me that the us is getting Catherine like eu!

  • Hi Morgan. this is my first comment ever. I was wondering if you can clear something up for me. On March 4th before the ps update I had purchased another year of ps plus because of the 3 extra free months offer. However, based on your comments on the March 4th posting I was under the assumption that I would also be qualifying for the “spend $50 on psn get $10 back” promotion as well. Am I correct in assuming this?

As of now I have not received any messages offering me the $10 rebate so I am wondering what happened and who do I contact about that.

By the way, I am really loving ps+ and have almost two years of membership to go!!!

    Thanks for the reply!

p.s. the comment I am refering to had to do with another user complaining that psn was down and wanted to find out if they could still enjoy both dpromotion. You replied that as long as the psn store doens’t update then it would be ok. I believe you posted that comment on the 4th of March.

  • I’ll get Resident Evil 2 and 3 tomorrow since they’re 2.09 a piece. I’ll pass on the Soul Calibur game though.

  • Another old psp game. What a joke

  • OMG seriously! In the last year, we’ve been getting mediocre & old games compare to PS plus Europe. you guys just don’t care

  • When will I get my $10 credit from last month’s promotion?

  • What!? No Hitman: Absolution? Nah…

  • im so glad i did not renew. just wow.

  • It’s 11:20 EST. In a little more than a half hour it’s going to be a WEDNESDAY PSN Store Update.

Why can’t you guys get your Tuesday updates out on time any more? It gets worse with every passing week!

  • Im going ro guess the reason Ps Vita gets alot of Psp games is because of small game library selection. so theres honestly nothing ro complain about. Give it some time.

  • This is a bunch of bull. It seems as Europe gets all the good games rather than the US does. I mean, come on, Hitman Absolution for Europe, and what do we get? PS2 full games, oh my, rather exciting.

  • Morgan, you said this:

“Spec Ops The Line and Demon’s Souls were definitely big games that hit Plus month to month in March and April, with a lot of content in between to support. You can definitely look forward to more big games like those in the coming months”

Seriously man, you can’t sit here and say that Spec Ops and Demon’s Souls were great games to see free for PS+, when responding to a person who is expressing a WIDELY held opinion that EU PS+ simply destroys NA.

Sure, Demon’s Souls is a great game, but for crying out loud, this game is LITERALLY over 4 years old! Even it’s SEQUEL was released in 2011, where Hitman Absolution has not even been out for 6 months!

As for Spec Ops, no one cared, or even knew about the game, until it was free. And for good reason. The multiplayer is horrendous, with the developers freely admitting it was forced to be in, and poorly handled by a third party company. Do you really think people play that style of game for the STORY? Here’s a hint…They don’t.

I’ve been suspecting for a long time that you don’t actually even play video games…your little blurb on this issue certainly reinforces that point.

  • How dare they give us a game that is $39.99 to purchase on PSN still. Really the nerve of Sony.

(End Sarcasm) This blog never ceases to amaze me with all the negativity spewed forth constantly. The Other guys charge for Gold status and give NOTHING away, only discounts.

I find Plus to be a huge benefit and I never once and never will regret the few dollars a month it costs me. I don’t like every game we get, but the games I do like more than make up for that. And the deep discounts are amazing.

  • C’mon i don’t even own a vita! i want full ps3 games
i’m tired of vita (or psp) games and of psn games!

    MORE PS3 GAMES PLEASE :/

  • Next month you guys should give PS+ members Little Big Planet for Vita, Catherine and Hitman Absolution for PS3 also throw in some discounts for Naughty Dogs games/DLC… Mmm that should remedy for this month’s weak PS+ free contents releases. But that’s all wishful thinking! >_<

  • why another fighting game? i could care less if its a psp game or not but another fighting game was just a bad idea in general.i would love to see sly cooper though

  • More crap? Again?

I wont renew my subscription if keep doing your job like this. At least give us something as good as the european members get almost every week…

  • Dear Morgan,
Thanks for the update. I love playing PSP games on my Vita, but I think there are too many fighting games, I’d prefer to see some RPGs next month.

  • Another lackluster update. Try to match (or beat) EU’s PlayStation Plus updates. They’re great at this. You are not.

  • Wow. Another Japanese fighting game for PS Plus. I am completely underwhelmed.

  • The funny thing about the poll, which is overwhelming for “Don’t own the content and nothing new for me,” is that the people running it *had* to know what the results would be. You can’t look at this update and think people will generally be happy about it.

  • That Soul Calibur Broken Destiny picture sure is nifty looking. Any chance the picture is bigger and can be used for a desktop background? If so could you link to it?

  • so only one free game this week psn plus?

  • no more PSP games please.. :(
