A unique puzzle platformer arrives this week with Thomas Was Alone.

  • wow awesome RE sale ;D but i already own all of them ha..
best sale was for borderlands last week

  • but RE123&5 (gold) were all free before and ORC is half that in stores (saw it today). might get 4 though. always wanted to beat it on hard but there was no incentive in the GC version

  • Sony, it’s the little things. Can’t you make it where the user can sort their PS3 games by name? Why can’t I start a download remotely if I can purchase a game remotely via the webpage?

  • sigh the NA store is getting worse compared to the EU store & we don’t even get any new avatars -_-

  • I rate this week as a MEH.

Not really anything for Plusers here. We already got Resident Evil 1-3 for free last year and an old PSP game for Vita isn’t much to get excited about.

Also, why have all of the 50% and 75% discounts turn into 10% and 20%??
    20% isn’t much when you are paying $50 a year…

Unfortunately that will never happen, nor will we get our a Download List sortable.
I believe it’s due to Sony not wanting us to “bask in the old content” when there is fresh, new content to buy!
They would rather your older stuff gets buried.

It’s obviously not due to any technical reasons as they have added other sorting methods and Alphabetically is a worldwide standard.

  • Very weak update. Signed back up for PS+ last week because I heard we would probably be getting Hitman: Absolution. I’m fine with not getting that, but I’m really bummed that this update wasn’t better. I’ll still download Soul Calibur. I’m sure I’ll have fun with it too. Hope the next two updates before my subscription runs out are better than this one!

  • What a horrible plus month (except for Demon’s Souls, although it’s very old), man every month convinces me to not renew after my year expires, EU is getting Hitman Absolution, each month they receive SUPERIOR renowned titles than US PLUS, the disparity is so big, clear, and bright it hurts like looking directly to the sun.
    Time to wake up people…

Meanwhile must find a way to have EU plus without costing me double the price for buying it outside EU…

  • FINALLY, Code Veronica goes on sale (again?)! Been waiting FOREVER for a reduced price to justify the … 4th? (dreamcast, playstation 2, gamecube, yep 4th) time I’d be purchasing this game.

Still bitter that Capcom didn’t release this as a retail title, nor the Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles. After double checking the store for Move Compatibility (which I’ll be doing right after I submit this post) on those titles, I may pick those up just to have more games to use my Playsation Move (especially the move shooting attachment [not the sharpshooter, the handgun that came before it]).

Maybe. Haven’t decided how important avoiding the purchase in contempt of a non-retail release of those titles is to me.

  • PLEASE STOP ADDING PSP GAMES, PLEASE.

WE BEG YOU, STOP ADDING PSP GAMES, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.

Add the worst games on PlayStation Vita library, but PLEASE stop adding PSP games.

No one wants to play games for an old device like PSP on their PlayStation Vita, so PLEASE stop adding PSP games.

Most of everyone who are interested on PSP games have already owned a PSP and played most of its games. Is that hard to understand?

If someone, unfortunately, haven’t had the chance to own or play PSP games can simply buy a PSP instead of buying a PlayStation Vita and then subscribing to PlayStation Plus so that he gets PSP games for his PlayStation Vita INSTEAD of getting PlayStation Vita games. Is that also hard to understand?

    ENOUGH OF PSP GAMES, PLEASE.

    I have two questions, please.

    1) Why is Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City more expensive than Resident Evil 6? It should be the other way around, because Resident Evil 6 is much more awesome than Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City.

    2) Why Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City’s price is 20$? It should be less than 10$ like the discount for EU PlayStation Store.

    Thank you very much.

  • +SpooNManX I can’t even see a way where they show you whether or not you’ve actually downloaded something successfully or not. For example, I could have purchased a couple of DLC packs for a game and got distracted and went back and…? Not sure if it’s installed or not. It can be in the download list forever of course but no sign if it had been downloaded and installed. And why can’t you clean up the download list? What do I care about some demo I tried before? It just grows and grows. haha

  • + Saeed-Al-Dosary I saw the same thing…why is Raccoon City more than RE6?

  • Come on Playstation US branch, get your things together because your putting off a lot of people when compared to EU playstation. They have pre orders. They have a much stronger selection of IGC. I want to go digital and I want to spend my money on playstation, but your not giving me any reason to. I also hope Servers greatly improve before PS4 launch and I hope you stress test the intelligent download system load on servers before you release it to the public because a lot of people will more then likely be queued to download new PS+ IGC titles, D1DL titles, and new game releases as soon as PS Store comes up after updates.

I’m a still waiting for Soul Sacrifice Pre-order US news…… since January when PR went to look into it. And EU has had it available for a while now.
I would like to see more pre-orders along with there bonuses. Next one I am getting for sure is Muramasa rebirth collectors edition but I don’t think you guys will have a system to pre-order digital copy and send us collectors box set -cartridge. Or even discounted collectors edition bundle that gives a digital normal copy and hard copy would be awesome and a reason to choose PSN over retail stores.

  • Continued from 313,

As for Instant game collection, try to create some rules to go by when choosing titles:
    – Time frame that you do not release the same genre on the same system. Example (3) months minimum between PSP fighter games.
    – Never release same genre for each system at same time. IE, Marvel vs capcom 2 for PS3 same time as dead or alive 5 for PSP in the same week (or maybe month).
    – Steady schedule like first week updates include (1) title for each system: PSP, PSV, PS3, and (1) PSN or PS classic game. Then 2nd week PS3, 3nd week a PSN or PS classic, then 4th week PSV or PSP game.
This setup gives (2) weeks in a row PS3 and at least (2) for PSP/PSV in a row. *PSV titles are lacking so its understandable that PSP games that are compatible can fill the space, but try to at least rotate week 4 each month psp then psv instead of something like (3) months of PSP before a PSV title.
    – Try to plan ahead and release similar titles before the release date of a popular title coming out that month. Example Monster hunter would have been perfect release for the first week of this month to amp up Soul Sacrifice.

  • Morgan, since you asked:

“Thanks for your feedback on that note. I’m curious as to what people prefer overall; no PSP games at all?; or the current model which is more or less half PS Vita games and half PSP games.”

We would prefer all Vita games.

    Thank you very much.

  • Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny on the the ps+ for vita users again y can’t us vita owners get anything better

  • Since I got my Ps Vita just in Feb, I’ve spent over $120+ on memory cards alone, $200+ on the march to April Sale, even got my first Plus subscription, and $60+ accessories. All I want is more vita compatible games. I would love to play Crisis Core… I love my ps3 bit it’s just sitting ythere.. Please get more Vita titles to the Plus or Sale sections

  • Man that resident evil 6 ps plus price is TEMPTING but I still need to finish up Resident Evil 5 which was free for plus members quite awhile ago!

HOWEVER, I am totally picking up Thomas Was Alone because I absolutely loved it for the PC via steam and I am re-buying this game again so I can play it on my giant HDTV screen, WOOT!! Plus, I prefer to play games on my playstation controller as well. Just finished Guacamelee and got the Platinum an hour ago!

  • Some of the PSP games that I would like to see on PS Vita as a few gems that we would get every 3+ months if compatible are:

    1) Patapon
    2) Dissidia Final Fantasy
    3) Resistance Retribution
    4) one of the many GTA games for PSP
    5) Daxter

But just looking at next month’s EU PS Plus upgrade, they really are getting some good content with Sine and Velocity Ultra… not to mention that they had VLR before. I think that you guys have been doing a great job with PS3 games such as Spec Ops and Vanquish which are some that most people probably passed on and I understand that the PS Vita library is not as diverse.

  • A lot of the PSP games that tried to compensate for the lack of the right stick are all pretty good candidates for PS Vita IGC. While I’d prefer native PS Vita content, if you are unable to give us quality PS Vita only content then I would not mind fewer PSP games as long as its more varied and high quality.

  • Like many others, I am not interested in getting PSP games on Vita for PS+. There are plenty of Vita games that could be used instead; especially ones that don’t have such a niche appeal as this game.

Please take this feedback into consideration. Thanks.

  • I hope PS Plus on the Vita gets some good RPGs sometime from the PSP, there are so many to pick from I’m surprised we haven’t really seen any. At least there are some great JRPGs coming exclusive to Vita later this year (plus Soul Sacrifice at the end of the month) but I’d really like some more RPGs from Plus especially.

  • I loved my PSP and I am absolutely ok with getting PSP games on the IGC, but I’m done with fighters (not a game type I play a lot of). For PSP games I would like GOW: Ghost of Sparta, KH:BBS, Jeanne d’Arc, Crisis Core: FFVII, Valkyria Chronicles II, and plenty of other games besides.

I’m loving the indie sales, though. Picked up Guacamelee last week and it is super fun.

  • What is the news on Ps Allstars Battle Royale?! New Characters? Balance changes? Newer Modes?! Hopefully new modes will be brought into the game real soon.

  • Dear PS+,

I’ve been a loyal fan for the past 2 years. Never doubted your service, and it is a good one to be fair, and never questioned your motives. However, recently I find it really hard not to compare what US and EU users get. Usually I am very satisfied with the service, I download an occasional free game, play a few trials and take advantage of your regular sales. Recently my brother who lives in Europe visited me, he downloaded his account on my PS3 and showed me what your fans in Europe have been getting. I was envious, not for the quality of games, but for the service EU+ is providing for the fans. Polls for what kind of games they prefer, healthy discussions on how we can improve the service, and yes, a fantastic line up of brand new titles. Titles that I happen to own already through several full purchases on PSN.

I am deeply sorry to inform you that I will not be renewing my subscription. You have, for the first time in 2 years, disappointed me.

    A loyal fan..

  • + Saeed-Al-Dosary
I rather play ALL the amazing PSP games, than broken Vita games like the gameloft ones. PSP/Mini/PS1 are still relevant, and they are FREEEEE, why complain ?You guys spit on great PSP games that still look and play great ? Sony is really ” feeding pigs with Caviar”. The only complain would be: The vita already has tons of fighting games, so giving SC or Tekken is not really great choice.
But the Vita is lacking RPG and Racing games. Why not filling up those holes.
Racing? … NFS, the burnout, GT, Crash team tag, Midnight Club, motorstorm…. so much choice that have almost no concurence on the Vita.
RPG ? ( FF tactics was great ) Legend of heroes, the final fantasy, the persona, crimsom gem saga, Lunar, the Ys, Jeanne d;arc… so many GREAT RPG
How about big IPs ? ( maverick hunter X was amazing ). God of war, Jak & daxter, ratchet, GTA, Locoroco, Patapon, resistance, castlevania, Silent hills… Big names the Vita is lacking now.
And hidden gems ? ( Patchwork heroes, good start ) Crush, dead head fred, tokobot, gurumin, pixel junk….
All Vita owner should be happy to get free PSP games, and Sony should use this opportunity to offer more of this amazing catalogue, still really impressive today

  • To answer the question on the first page: I don’t want, nor do I enjoy (or play) PSP games included with PS+. I bought a Vita and signed up to Playstation Plus so I could get free PS3 and Vita games. Right now I’m sitting on three PSP games I have zero interest in and never wanted in the first place,

The Vita games are great and I enjoy them a lot, but the last generation of games play and look like garbage on Vita thanks to some horrendous stretching and no display options like PSP with PS1 classics.

Feels like (and obviously is) filler due to Vita not having a vast library of titles. The least you guys could do is choose more varied titles if you’re going to shovel us titles that are years old from an inferior system. Give us some stuff that was popular. Give us games that are time sinks. Give us games with replayability. And please don’t give us any more fighters for a while. Two consecutive months for games that are basically the same for non-hardcore fighter players (or core gamers) is just lack of foresight and a bit annoying to be perfectly honest.

  • Has anyone in the U.S. signed up for an EU PS+ account and maintained both? Is it possible?

  • Those complaining about EU getting better PS+ choice, forget that Europe has been and still is in many ways, the abused child of SCEWW.

Sony still use an archaic submission procedure that has hardly changed in 15 years, and continue to insist that each major territory be run as a subsidiary all for the marginal tax breaks at the expense of their customers; and as North America is their most important territory, most of that “expense” is carried by European gamer’s. The customers in Europe have been so appallingly treated, ignored and poorly spoken to by EU Blog staff, people are sick to death of everything to do with Sony. European gamer’s are praying that XBOX3 is good enough to warrant leaving Sony for good.

The submission procedure throughout Europe is so broken many small developers are completely put off from working with SCEE, and some games get so lost within submission they never actually get released in our territory.

Believe me, I’d rather never receive a PS+ title again than continue to live in SCEE for one more month.

You guys think you have it bad? You haven’t a clue.

  • Jysmoker, you should have received a redemption code via e-mail from Sony. Look in that e-mail account.

  • + MiahHMan

    Your comment is very selfish.
Maybe you don’t see the point of PSP games as Vita owner, but some PS+ members do have a PSP, and no Vita. PS+ concern not only PS3 and PSV, but also PSP, with PSP games, and PS1 games.
Therefore, Many gamers didn’t know about the extensive PSP library. And seriously, latest gen PSP games look as good or better than some first gen Vita games.
God of War, MGS, Loco, FF, SC, persona, syphon filter or Tekken look stunning on vita screen, and seriously on par with most of the concurent system games, and almost on par with some vita games like Army corpse of hell, Mortal Kombat, or F1…

After, i agree with the end of your post. Fighters are not really shining, as the Vita offers far better choice. God of War, MGS, GTA, Syphon filters, ratchet, or Jak would be a far better choice, and RPG could be the cherry on the cake, as the vita doesnt have much to offer, and they are by far the best looking PSP genre on Vita

  • + Scuffy_P

I think the begening of the message is right. The PS+ in europe JUST start to be relevent, but it has been bad for so long.
In the other hand, more free indie games, when US got only 20% off… uhm
And PSP games from sony are 7euros, not 14-19$

Then comes your comment about the submission, and i guess it will change soon. SCEE already talked about it, and they will ease the way games are coming to PSN, or to Playstation consoles, to lead the wat to something more near the GameYaroz… Open up to get more.

As for the XBOX3, i believe only UK resident are in this position. french, Germans, Spanish, Italians… We are all loyal to Sony, because of their much more mature and artistic orientation. Gamers in europe would never trade GT for Forza, or anything coming from MS for the Sony prod.

US is much more on this position, as the Xbox still gets all the attention, followed ny ninty…then comes the sony family… Look at the sales of the Vita in US, i really feel sorry for the americans to neglect such a machine

  • I like getting PSP games, just haven’t cared for the last couple choices. Final Fantasy Tactics and Mega Man X were great.

  • Will anyone ever truly answer the “crappy US updates” compared to the EU updates? doubtful, since like i have been saying over and over, Sony does not care about us, the consumer, any more. I have over 50 games in my collection, just the disc based and yet I get no responses to any questions. Oh and none of them are the used crap (so disgusting to buy used! I mean, who touched it, what were they doing while touching it, etc).

Spending over $3000 just means nothing, it’s sad. Might be time to just go back to PC gaming with the xbox controllers (sony doesnt even have a device to let us use the ps3 controller on a pc!)

Anywho, WHY is EU getting such better updates? WHY is the PS Store so freaking slow and clunky? (Someone needs to be fired for that craptastic design). Blah, no use to go on as it will get ignored like everyone elses valid questions that don’t fall into a “we love you sony”

  • It is 7am EST and I was able to buy Soulcalibur 5 on XBL. This won’t come out on PSN until 7pm EST. This is frustrating.

  • Benzitor I don’t believe I asked for your opinion. The Sony rep did ask for mine, however. When I signed up for PS+ I don’t recall them advertising anything for PSP. The PSP titles are convienient for PSP owners, but Plus offers services for PS3 and Vita. That’s their marketing. That’s what I want.

And for the record, I own a PSP. Two, in fact. Both are slims. It would be in Sony’s best interest to stop releasing PSP titles for Vita and give people more of a reason to buy a Vita (which has yet to show its true potential, unlike PSP) by showcasing early tirles. Sony gets more PS+ subscribers and more Vita purchases. Playing old PSP games regardless of quality still makes it feel like playing an old, lesser game in my opinion. I still play my PSP and enjoy it. That’s not why I bought a Vita (to play PSP games) and I think majority agrees with me.

Moving forward Vita is a better investment both for Sony and consumers. That’s just how consoles work. Does that make me selfish for realizing that? I don’t think so. It’s fine if you and others think so, though. Sony rep asked for our opinions, so I gave it.

Ignoring this thread beyond this point.

  • Actually, I’m happy with PSP games on PS +.
PSP has an amazing library of games, I just think the selection of games for PS + is a bit poor. The problem is that many excellent PSP games are not available on PS Store.

I understand that is not possible to offer Vita titles every week, so, keep offering PSP games, it is much better than getting “minis” titles.

  • you know it would be really great if the ps2 games could be played on the Vita! there has got to be a way!

  • i hope this time the update comes before i got to sleep, sony pls many of us we work on the morning!! why dint update the store fast!? always the same problem, you say 23 and we gonna updating just starting 24 wtf!!!!

  • I would prefer no PSP games for Plus.

Also, how about a Bioshock sale? I just started playing this series and would love to buy all of the DLC for the first 2 games, but I don’t really want to spend that much money on old DLC.

  • LOL, my calendar was off a day and I didn’t notice it until now. Disregard my scolding on the late release — BUT STILL! Get the stuff out on time today please!

  • I hope the update comes early this week ….. LOL like that’ll happen XD

  • I would prefer PSP games for plus im happen with one psp game a month thats very good :)

id also like PS2 Classics added into it lol …. :P

  • happy not happen lol XD

  • @knightrid I can’t imagine your ever get a date being that disgusted by used stuff :-P as for ps plus I just get both then have no time for either set of games they give to much I don’t know how half of you complete all this stuff :-D for the price your getting a very good deal.saying that I can see how some get annoyed at the eu selection.I like Americas better as it doesn’t fill up my hard drive after two games :-P

  • I’d like Ys Oath in Felghana for Plus :)

  • I am getting awfully tired of all the fighting games.. I have never been a huge fan of the genre, so it feels like I’m being left out here! It would be fantastic to have more RPG or Adventure games, or even puzzle games, rather than one fighting game after another each month..
