  • So what’s the deal with the Pinball Arcade patch? Was the mistake on Sony’s end, or FarSight, or a little of both? Either way, can we get some disclosure on what the hold-up is? It’s OK if a mistake was made, we all mess up from time to time, but at least say something about it.

It’s not a bad thing to admit you messed up, but it is kinda low to give everyone the silent treatment, leaving us all hanging… wondering…

Nobody here on the blog, nor on FarSight’s forum is speaking about it, and that’s discouraging, because I know they know about it.

Does the ongoing tournament have something to do with the problem? Is that somehow preventing the patch from being deployed?

COMMUNICATE, PLEASE. That’s not too much to ask for. This isn’t a big deal, so don’t turn it into one. :)

  • i really want to buy metal gear solid 1 to play on my vita but unfortunately its not available :(

  • vita downloads get paused on sleep firmware 2.11

know old firmware used to have this problem and they fixed it in subsequent vita firmware but as from firmware 2.11, everytime i put my vita to sleep, either press the power button or let it sleep by itself while downloading a game, by the time i check my download progress, the download has been paused, its so annoying. i used to put my vita to sleep while it downloads :smileysad:

is it because power saving mode is enabled or what? its so so annoying…

why has it not been fixed. is it a bug? even the power saving mode is confusing when u read the manual.

i want my vita to save power but not pause my download. come on sony. fix that

someone help me, some guys on neogaf also got this problem.

  • Okay so I waited for this update for a week, and after a week long of waiting I enter the Store and what I found, Poker Night 2 is 9.99$ in PSStore. Since I liked the first one and it was only available for PC at that time, now I choose to get the console version of it. Last week Steam get their Poker Night 2 for 2.99$ and it is still the same price right now, tell us Sony, how can you steal so much bucks from customers while other service like Steam give us games on reasonable prices.

Another thing, how can you charge 1.99$ for Japanese voice over for Soul Sacrifice? I thought it should come with it buy default so we could choose it from option menu. Why Sony, why?

p.s: Please, please, please do something with you price politics. Thanks you very much.

  • Picked up LittleBigPlanet PlayStation Vita, love it so far. Would love a sale on Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation or Resistance: Burning Skies next.

  • Can someone fill me in on why MGS1 isn’t on the Vita even though it’s compatible? Just doesn’t make any sense to me.

  • Is there any chance we will be getting some god of war dlc soon?

  • Great update!

Any word at all on Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core or the Megaman Legends games coming to PSN?

  • iREVOLTER said: “Another thing, how can you charge 1.99$ for Japanese voice over for Soul Sacrifice? I thought it should come with it buy default so we could choose it from option menu. Why Sony, why?”

The Japanese audio is included with the digital version of Soul Sacrifice for a limited time. There’s another post on this very Blog detailing this information. They put it there for those who didn’t pre-order the physical version. And the reason it costs extra is because they had to license it separately from the game. So, there are three options, two of which are still possible. Pre-order the physical copy, as they announced months ago the Japanese audio would be a free bonus for doing so. Purchase the digital version within the next week (maybe longer) to get it free. Or just buy the physical copy now, or wait and buy the digital later, and forgo the Japanese audio completely, standing up to the horrible practice of charging for content that cost money to produce/license for you.

The only thing I got today was the Pinball Arcade DLC, and I can’t even play it? Color me sad. :(

  • I’m leaning towards picking up the sly and ratchet games for PS3, primarily to download the vita versions (sly immediately, and ratchet and clank when it is eventually made available). I’m going to look into LBP vita to see if it offers a decent standalone game without depending on user generated content for too much.

Also, on the sales list, could you have a few columns to one side to indicate what systems the title is for, including whether cross buy is included? And it would be nice if there were an option to upgrade from a Vita version of software to the PS3/Vita cross-buy for a small fee; presently I only have a Vita, and sometimes when I’m presented the option of buying a Vita game for one price, and the PS3/Vita cross buy for a little more, I just end up not buying either because I have trouble justifying the purchase of the PS3 version when I can’t use it, or the Vita version when the cross buy is only a little more. If there were the option of buying the Vita version now, and upgrading to the cross-buy for a few dollars later, the decision would be easier.

  • That sucks! I just bought Peace walker for vita and ps3 last month

  • Help me i just bought the Soul Sacrifice on the psn store then when i start the game it says “A serious error has occured in the system software. Your PS Vita system will restart (C0-15008-4)” I have the latest version BTW.

  • Quick question I notice a couple months ago Metro last light was in the pre order section of the PSN store, but for some reason it was removed. Could you all say why this happen? and if and when will it be returning I have 30 bucks to spend by May 12th

  • ” Help Needed”
On PSN store it states that MGS: Peace Walker is PSP/ PS Vita Compatable.
Then it states that It is not transferable.
Anyone that has MGS;PW please respond.
If I purchase it on my ps3, can I transfer it to my Vata ?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Did “Hakuoki:Demon of the fleeting blossom” disappear? I just can’t find it on my Vita…. Anyone seen this also?

  • Please add DRAGON QUEST VIII: JOURNEY OF THE CURSED KING, TONY HAWK’S AMERICAN WASTELAND, and NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUND 2 to the PS2 classics!!!

  • For anyone that says avatars are useless, they are a PREFERENCE and a nice one at that. A lot of people like a variety of avatars for their PSN. Some don`t care and use the default, some like the ones on the stores and buy them (or get them free with plus which I don’t know why that stopped).

Me, I love the avatars on the store (Which for Atelier avatars for the new two games to come out). If you didn’t like them, you’d be a gray square with a smiley box. If you feel they do nothing maybe that’s what you should be?

The Hyperdimension avatars seem to be cropped a little bit funny.. But I’m glad to have them.

  • Nothing for me this week Hopefully the sleeping dogs for Plus members is true and we will get it next month. I have been wanting to play it.

  • come on sony please!! what happen to warriors lair for ps vita? too much promises! and now they building ps4 for remote gameplay in vita? for what? to boost ps vita in market? come on! stop making to much indie game for vita

  • Happy to report that it does work.
Playing MGS:PW on my Vita now……..

  • Enjoying Soul Sacrifice! Still hoping for some more PS Vita titles this year, hoping for Tales of Innocence R and Tales of Hearts R. Sony needs to move some units so Hideo Baba will quit making excuses not to release the titles in EU/US. I’m a huge fan of the Tales series, both titles would be a day 1 purchase.

  • Why is Sony NA so incompetent? It’s almost noon Wednesday and still we haven’t see the new patch yet for The Pinball Arcade, whereas Sony EU had released the patch yesterday for today’s release. Does Sony NA even care for pinball? I want to play the new tables!

  • Are we going to see any Guacamelee DLC ?
Also, where is the new Hot Shots Tennis game ? The Vita needs that.
While were at this, how about some Wipout Vita DLC too.
Thanks, and as always…Keep on Gaming.

  • @264 as you said, people who say they don’t care about avatars are hyporcrites if they are using anything other than the default grey smiley face one. So i don’t take them serious. :)

  • @255 i’d love to play MM Legends again. I’d rather have an HD remaster if possible, but i doubt they would ever go through the trouble of remaking a ps1 game from the ground up.

  • It’s so quiet in here when there aren’t any complaints.

Anyways, great set of discounts! Thanks!

  • OK I just got a TPA update!! I guess the patch has finally come in..

  • @273 you call 6 pages worth of comments ‘quiet’? :/

  • I agree with @TJF588 we need to be able to add free items to the cart, like before or even like on the web store.

Also, I’m the only one having troubles with the downloads? Since I bought Tomb Raider on PSN, my downloads hangs. I need to pause and resume them to get them going again. I was hoping to get all my purchases downloaded last night, but it hang just after I went to bed. It’s getting annoying.

  • @275 Most of those were yesterday. I meant today.

  • Anyone buy the MGSHD collection and notice it’s not the collection like retail but it is a bundle. They should say that on description, It has none of the extras like the disc has, total rip.

  • Blood Dragon is definitely cool, but I think that Poker Night 2 is the real gem of this update. The eclectic roster of NPCs is just great, and the lounge version of “Short Change Hero” was the kicker that pushed me to buy the full game.

  • :( Already got Sly cooper through PS+ but now I want the Sly collection to keep permanently but it won’t let me purchase.

  • @278 i just bought the MGS collection from psn yesterday. What did the retail version have that the psn doesn’t?

  • I bought resident Evil 6 last week, so I hope I won’t see this game as May’s new free PS + game. Otherwise I will be really, really angry…

And please, release Extreme G3 as a PS2 classic, PLEASE!

  • purchased Soul Sacrifice, thinking about sly as well

  • eh..Im going to get the metal gear solid legacy collection with 1,2,3,peace walker, and 4.

The only hypocrite here is you, Ryumoau. Well, there’s a few others, but you’re the leader of the hypocrite pack. I can’t even count how many times you’ve put your foot in your mouth.

The argument wasn’t about not wanting avatars anyway, it was about BUYING them, and how they’re not really worth the cost, even at half a dollar. I’m sure all of us would choose multiple avatars from our favorite games… if they were free. But since they don’t do anything but sit there, our money is better spent on other products, you know, something that’s actually usable, interactive, functional, etc.

As for me, like I said, I only bought ONE avatar. 49 cents. Years ago. To show my love for classic 8-bit games and dogs at the same time, but mostly because I didn’t want the default gray face. It just feels incomplete, and I’m a completionist. But that’s it. I have a one avatar limit, and it’s already used up.

Gamers play games. They don’t stare at 1′ x 1′ jpegs all day.

By the way, pinballers out there, the patch was finally deployed today. Dr. Dude and Firepower are playable now. I have to wait until I get off work.

  • Something is wrong with the PSVita version of the store. twice now I tried to download something and it like locks up. One of items was Soul Sacrifice (By the way good move making it 36 bucks instead of 40). Right now I’m downloading it on my PS3 so I can transfer it but I shouldn’t have to do that. Patch this up Sony

  • @Primero,

Its not even about that. I seriously think this guy has a mild case of autism. My cousin has it, so I know the tell signs.

I hate his nonchalant attitude towards games he dislikes and is quick to say things like, “not sure why x game is listed here, its crap.” or “I would buy X if it wasn’t priced so bad” when the game is like $25 and a PSN game at that! He seems to think all updates should all revolve around him and his tastes.

He’s an embarrassment. Week after week, he posts the same type of stuff.

Also dunce, no one is saying they don’t care about avatars. Its about the ones that cost money. Then again, I would not expect someone like you to actually take the time to fully read the comments.

  • Just read the Eu might get Hitman: Absolution as a free game for playstation plus, and that leaves me saying wow. I haven’t seen a more recent/popular game since Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One and Infamous 2, and LittleBigPlanet2 which have been on way too long for playstation plus in Na as a free game. It’s almost been a full year since Ratchet & Clank: All 4 had been put on and 6 months to the same timeline for Infamous 2 and LBP2 as well, so I think it’s time to get rid of those and add some more newly recent games, or just different ones rather than those being there for another 6 months to a year again. I will say that adding Demon’s Souls and Vanquish was a great idea, but we need new/more recent games from mid to late 2012, If we do get Hitman:Absolution in Na, that will be awesome, but until I see that being added or new addtions being added, I remain disatisfied with the selection of free games from playstation plus.

  • When are you guys gonna release a save manager for the PSVita?
I just did the stupidest thing of deleteing the Soul Sacrifice Demo to Install the full version and lost 7 hours of gameplay.

So that made me wonder when this vital function will arrive to the system…

  • I know this may sound weird, but seeing as I’m still not sure whether I will be renewing PS+, it kind of sucks seeing decent deals on games like infamous 2, but not being able to take advantage of them. Any chance in the future, of giving me the option to buy the content while it’s on sale, so that if I don’t renew I could still play it?

  • PrimeroIncognito

    @TitleOne

    Autism? Hmm… not sure.

Personally, I think he just has a case of stupid.

Sometimes, it’s amusing, depending on how high he raises the absurdity level, but other times when he’s just being a snotty little brat and the blatant absurdity is lacking, I agree, he’s an embarrassment. A disgrace to our community. Makes gamers look bad. It’s annoying.

  • I know people have ask before, but I wanna know why the european version of mgs portable ops and portable ops plus are playable on the vita, and the us version isn’t. I really like to play those games again. I can’t comprehend what’s going on, licensed issues maybe? some answer would be nice, at least let us know if in the future those games will be playable. Thanks.

  • @293, exactly. A simple honest answer would be nice. Same thing for MGS1. I want to buy both but Sony is surely going out of it’s way to prevent me from doing so.

  • When you see EU get games like Mass Effect 3, Sleeping Dogs, Catherine, Hitman Absolution and we get an obscure Sega game again. Seriously?

I really like Plus because of the online storage and the pretty awesome deals from time to time. But the difference between US and the EU quality is really bad. I seriously hope May is going to bring something awesome but i keep saying that each month.

Sorry to be so negative but I just think the US plus consumer is being brushed aside. It’s also really obvious the PSP/Vita users aren’t happy either. If the US Plus team wants to make the consumer happy then maybe they should look at what EU Plus is doing.

  • Finally GOW is discounted on psplus!
    will be buying GOS soon
    thks!

  • Anyone know if Lbp Vita will have any sales on the DLC soon?
