  • Stop with the fighters we’ve gotten way too many fighters lately… same with shooters I really don’t want to see another one from those genres for atleast 3 months…

  • Nice! I’ll be downloading all of these!

  • Love the full collection image. It makes it a lot easier to keep track of everything that’s currently available.

  • Wonderful update! Really digging this month’s offerings. Also, I hope you keep the monthly updates, these are very useful in my purchasing decisions.

  • Awesome month Morgan. Don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that Sleeping Dogs is added to the IGC, but what I am looking foward to is Germinator.

This game was destined & I was going to buy it when it was on sale, but, lo and behold, PS+ delivers again.

Also, Morgan, could you pass on a note for me.

I know as PS+ members, we get 1 Hour Full Game Trials.

Now what I want to know is if they can make it so I can play the trial on another Profile (On the same PS3, that is). I want to be able to try a game out & see if I like it or not, but currently, if I do that now, I am stuck with a 0% trophy list.

The option to remove these is not available, as on the 360 & I dislike the clutter of games I am never going to play because I didn’t like them.

That’s what I do that now with the IGC.

    Thanks

    • Thanks for the note; I don’t think that functionality can be implemented any time soon, but appreciate the feedback

  • Demon Souls, goodbye and dont let the door hit you on the way out. I know it has its huge following, but the game had cheap gameplay, slugish controls.
Looking forward to seeing wha Sleeping Dogs has to offer.
    Keep on gaming.

  • Amazing update. thx

  • @146 – thanks for replying, hope your right about the game save. i think i’ll re-down the add-ons so i can free up the 4.6 gb data from the retail version. the add-ons will install themselves into the digital version right?

  • Since the IGC was announced about a year ago, these same games have always been a part of it:
    Infamous 2
    LittleBigPlanet 2
Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One

Also, since the IGC was announced for the Vita, these games have never rotated out:
    Uncharted: Golden Abyss
    Gravity Rush
    Wipeout 2048

I haven’t seen any of these advertised recently for either platform, and they are getting stale for loyal PS Plus users. How’s about a major change up soon – maybe announced at this year’s E3 like last year?

  • YAY Sleeping Dogs!! But Hey Morgan! Can You go give a neck chop to who ever isn’t Green Lighting Metal Gear Ac!D 1 & 2 on The PSn?? SCREW PORTABLE OPS!! I would pay for it first pay!! MAKE IT HAPPEN!

  • I was about to buy the game, good gift thanks sony

  • PGDarkLordMalik

    Great Update IMO!
Here’s hoping we see nice discounts this month as well.

  • Sleeping Dogs, Great Game

  • Is it monday already??

I gotta grab Blood Festival and LBP Vita fast!

Its going to be a great month. Thanks Morgan!

  • im i the only ine who bought this when ut was on sale amonth ago . whats the point of haveing plus discounts then you give the game away a month later

  • I’m sick of all the fighting games on PS Vita and PSP. It’d be okay once in a while, but I doubt I’ll really play any of them, and there are so many other genres that aren’t getting half the representation in the IGC. Fighting games are such a niche, so I don’t get why we’re being bombarded with them. Apart from that, I already have Knytt Underground, and the other small titles don’t particularly interest me, but thanks for Sleeping Dogs. Definitely one I wanted to play.

  • Aw. I’m kinda sad that it’s the Vita version of Extend. The Vita is really not fit for fighting games at all. The buttons are too tiny, and they’re bunched together.

Other then that, this is a pretty solid lineup for May.

  • You rock Morgan!

  • 1. Excellent update! FINALLY, a AAA game on the IGC! The only bad part about this is the fact that I already own BlazBlue Continuum Shift EXTEND (along with STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN) when it went on sale a few months ago for the PS Vita’s anniversary sale. But that was for like $12, and I STILL haven’t beat it (the story mode) yet. Though I HATE that the Calamity Trigger recap scenario goes on FOREVER, rarely allowing you to save, unlike the rest of the scenarios in Story Mode.

    2. I don’t know why all of you keep complaining about fighting games. I LOVE them. But at the same time, we don’t need a new one every month. Why not hand out one of the Tekken (preferrably Tag 2) games on PS3 instead?

    3. There seems to be an issue on the games that have bundles on the PS Store (Sleeping Dogs is a good example of this). The file size only seems to report the size of whatever the item last added to the bundle is, and not the bundle as a whole. Can this be fixed?

    4. While we’re at it, how big is SD?

  • BlazBlue: yet ANOTHER fighting game for Vita. You do realize there are other genres right?

  • So, we’re getting a “Chinese” Grand Theft Auto that’s more friendly and epic gameplay?

    THANK YOU SONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I liked hearing you on the blogcast, thanks.

So what fighter is coming in June for the Vita?

  • @164 I disagree. I love playing my fighting games on PS Vita (except Soul Calibur, which sucks anyway). In fact I think the Vita versions of both BlazBlue CSE and Street Fighter X Tekken are the best versions!

  • You should post the results off polls in a week or so.
Also…. I would Like free PS1 games, themes, avatars and discounted Add-ons to return.

  • So, overall impression, positive but not greatly so.

Sleeping Dogs – Big Plus, been hoping this would come on here, just need a DLC sale to go with it

Pinball – meh, middle of the road

    Knytt – positive

    Germinator – again meh

Blazblue – for PS VITA so nice to see some love but seriously, I guess you had complaints that there weren’t enough fighting games on PS+ freebies, huh?

Would be nice to see some greater response to the survey that Sony did about what kind of games PS+ members want, the largest being RPGs and Action Adventure. Fighting games were not even in the top five. Sleeping Dogs is a step in the right direction but only one step. Also noticed that we only get one full PS3 game but you are taking two of them away this month (Demon Souls and Darksiders). Please don’t start the shift back to 90% PSN games again, please.

  • Please release RPGs on Vita. Or strategy games. Or really anything else other than fighters – especially if theyre going to be PSP games

  • xFuzylilManPeach

    @173,

Soul Sacrifice is an EPIC RPG on the Vita. And Zombie Tycoon (which was released last week & is free for PS+ members) is a real time strategy game for the Vita.

  • The April content poll is missing the Nothing for me option.

Which is all I’ve been able to select in plus for about half a year…

  • HOLY FRAKKKK. Words cant even. so happy. Sony has my heart.

  • @153 Seriously!? What’s wrong with you!? D8.

  • I’m overall happy with PS+ and think its a great value I just wish two things would happen.

    1) Tell us the coming months content a few weeks in advance like EU. We normally get our update the day before and like today it’s already well into the month.

    2) Raise the price so that we get EUs selection. I mean for just a little more money they do get a decently better list of games. At least make it an option or something.

That’s it really and I’m looking forward to sleeping dogs and blazblue great month.

  • Awesome update; looking forward to everything except Sleeping Dogs (but that’s because I already own it!).

Hoping for some good sales during the month as well :D.

  • Thanks for fixing the post.

    BTW, great update! ;)

  • Thanks Morgan and the Store team. Awesome month. I’ve been a loyal subscriber for one and a half years now and I see no reason to ever let the sub run out. Thanks guys. PS+ offers the best value in gaming, ever!

  • Any chance we will get a discount on all the kick-ass Sleeping Dogs DLC?

  • Thank you for sleeping dogs. I was waiting for a uber version with all dlc but this is better. I hope those dlcs go on sale again this month.

  • Thanks for the great update, PS Store team. Really looking forward to Sleeping Dogs (the demo was a blast), and as a recent PS Vita buyer I am very excited about all the cross-buy content this month.

One of the best Plus updates yet! Thanks again!

  • Plus is a great service.Unrivaled in other platforms, it has opened up huge gaming opportunities. I didnt think about getting a VITA until Plus was announced for it,but now I own one. I play it a great deal. I have,so far, enjoyed the amounts and quality of VITA Plus games.
Saying this in hopes of avoiding being disregarded as just another troll or a d**k who cant enjoy free games.
But fighting games?Ive had my share. Weve had three fighting games in a row now. Tekken 6,in my opinion, not a good game. SC:BD(longtime SC fan)which was also mediocre, and now BlazBlue,a game which I had not heard of-and was excited for-until learning it was a fighting game.
Going into my third year of Plus, I don’t see the problem with the VITA. More games are being announced and released every week, so why is it that we continue to get low-budget puzzle games(no offense, love indies) and unknown PSPs? I understand that we will get PSPs, but games like Tekken over games like Monster Hunter or Loco Roco doesnt make sense to me.
Again,I don’t wanna seem like I’m just whining and moaning with no real goal in mind. Cheers to you, Morgan, for the job that you do(and you really are good at it),I hope that my comments are at least read.
    Cheers.

  • Sleeping Dogs Is Awesome Game

  • WoundedUnderwear

WOW!! What a way to stab all those people in the back Sony, who bought Sleeping Dog when it was on sale a little over month ago. Now it’s FREE. If I knew this I wouldn’t have bought it. I want my money back !!!!

  • This month disappoints me a bit. My family doesn’t play M-rated titles. We don’t have a Vita. That leaves us with pinball for free. Already have Zen pinball, and don’t play it much.

We did have some good stuff in recent months (the cave, joe danger 2, others). I’ll just catch up on my queue this month.

  • Tekken and Soul Calibur were *great* choices for the IGC. I’ll give Blazblue a try as well. I’m also looking forward to see Mortal Kombat / Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and Dead or Alive 5 there as well in the future.

On the Ps3 side SSF4: AE and KOF XIII are *great* titles as well. I’m really looking forward to see more additions added to the Plus for Ps3 fighting game family like Dead or Alive 5 and Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

    Kudos Morgan!

  • Thanks for listening to us but try to give us different but better content then Eu store. That way people here will show off more about you. Win win :P ..

Suggestion: Heavy rain since most of the people didn’t give it a chance and it will be a good advertisment for Beyond: Two souls. Also resistance 3 or one of the good ratchet and clank games or kung fu rag doll or dead space 2/3 or ps2 collections such us devil may cry..etc

  • It’s kind of funny that everybody wanted US Plus to have Sleeping Dogs like EU Plus did a while back. Now it’s here, and they’re mad that they already bought it.

Plus has never been much of a good deal for the impatient.

  • Morgan Haro,

I have a suggestion for the PS+ membership I’m hoping you can pass on to the team responsible for it.
I purchased Germinator for the PS Vita and now the game is offered for free to all PS+ members.
Since I already purchased this game, I feel that I should get some type of compensation or store credit
    to use on another game.

I think by giving something back to loyal customers, it will take some of the hurt off and prevent people
from not buying new content and just waiting until it becomes available free of charge through PS+.

Using my example of Germinator, the current price is $9.99. Since I already purchased this game on
my account, I feel that a 25% credit should be applied to my account to use for anything I wish to puchase
    in the future.

I’d like to hear your feedback and other PS+ members feedback on the implementation of my suggestion.

    Thanks for listening!,
    ChillTown Y2J

  • I think I can describe this month outlook with one word: AWESOME!!

Really, I’m really surprised about the full game this month. Last month’s game was also incredible, but I already own it. Now I can’t wait until tomorrow to download this game, sure it will do for the month on its own :P

It’s a solid update, a well-known game for PS3 and many games from PS3 and PSVita.

Congratulations, excelent work this month. I can’t wait to take a look on the other games also.

  • hope we also get catherine on the next monthly update,

  • Blazblue and Sleeping Dogs?! Amazing!

  • that-acmilan-guy

Is there a way to enable automatic update to download it overnight? The store updates early morning for me.

    • There is! once the update is live, you can download Sleeping Dogs from the online store. Then select “Download to Ps3”. from there, once your auto update timeframe hits, it will go out and grab the game to download and install it automatically.

  • Four free vita games!? That is amazing! I can’t wait to play Blazblue on my vita now!

And for those of you who haven’t played Sleeping Dogs yet, DO IT! That was my personal 2012 GOTY.
Another fantastic month to be a PS+ member. Thanks again Morgan!

Please bring back free PSone games!!!!
