Pistol Annies – Annie Up

Super groups are pretty commonplace and always a treat, but not very often in country and certainly not with a group of ladies. However, Pistol Annies pushed that boundary two years ago with the release of Hell on Heels in 2011. The group is anchored by platinum superstar Miranda Lambert, which initially made the group a “side project.” However, the success of bandmate Ashley Monroe’s March release Like a Rose has upgraded them to super-group status, rounded out by friend Angaleena Presley. Lambert’s well known tenacity is projected three-fold through these tough, sassy ladies, singing about men, family and drinking in a fun romp provided by some exceptional musicians.

She & Him – Vol. 3

It’s been three years since the last original studio album by She & Him, a duo consisting of indie stalwart M. Ward and actress/singer Zooey Deschanel. While the two released a Christmas album in 2011, this is the first piece of work to encompass a whirlwind few years for Deschanel, whose popularity skyrocketed with her starring role in The New Girl. She has a tendency to interject her sultry vocals into parts of her acting work (see: 500 Days of Summer) and reigns supreme as adorkable indie queen. However, if there was ever any teetering between which Zooey to love, the duo’s strongest effort to date may inspire you to be most connected to Zooey the songstress.

  • Please add great PS2 classics like Parappa 2 next week.

  • Joe Satriani – Unstoppable Momentum: This is an absolutely awesome album! I’m a big Satch fan and feel he really did a great job writing this one. There’s a bit of something for everyone on this diverse album. I’d say it has all the amazing song writing of Crystal Planet and the diversity/stellar mix of Super Colossal.

  • Problems with your services.

First movies. I will never rent a movie from this service because every 5 minutes a couple of frames gets dropped. This really is annoying when you are watching a movie. I would love to rent movies from you instead of Vudu but I can’t stand skipping frames during a movie. Don’t tell me it is not noticeable because it is. I also notice that the quality of the stream is very poor, especially during dark scenes. Vudu has no problems streaming movies so why does Sony.

  • Second music. I love the Unlimited Music app that you guys have made but there are still some things to be fixed. First off the most annoying thing ever is when I find the song on the album I want to listen to and the app will not play that particular song. The song seems to start to load and then the app just skips to the next song. If I paid full price for this for the year I would be furious. WHY CAN’T I PLAY THE SONG THAT IS LISTED IN THE APP? The second issue I have with Music Unlimited is the fact that I can only be on one device at a time. This means that if I leave my Vita app open I cannot use the app on my cell phone. I thought that the app can be used by two devices at once, but it does not work for me.

The music app is good but could use some work, but the way movies are streamed is just god awful.
Just some advise from an avid Playstation fan.

    Sold.

  • lower the 1 day rental prices on psn store for videos. $2.99 for standard definition is crazy considering you can get a Blu ray disk for cheaper at Red Box for the same amount of rental time.

  • Still surprise that there is no Rammstein albums at all :( Still enjoying the service nevertheless.

  • It would be cool if some decent music (Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Pink Floyd, etc..) were added to Music Unlimited instead of the lousy new rap/hiphop stuff… Just my opinion.

  • please fix music unlimited, or the vita os. when playing music, and turning off the screen, after 10 mins or so the system falls asleep… the system does not do this with games/movies… so why with music? and please limit the number of times the vita asks if you want/need to hook up to the network… it’s getting really annoying… thank you! =)
