  • So is the DLC itself going to be dropped in price a bit? I don’t want any of these bundles, but would like MGR:R’s DLC.

    • Pierre Gravereau

This week, only the Ultimate Edition (bundle of the game + its add-ons) is offered at a nice introductory price.

  • Some good deals, I think.

  • Great games.

I miss Dragon Age Origins and Red Dead Redemption. Mainly DA:O, the ultimate edition is quite impossible to find :(

    • Pierre Gravereau

Some publishers only offer Ultimate Editions for a limited time only. Not all Ultimate Editions will stay in store after the Ultimate Deals event is over. So jump on those deals before they end.

  • This makes me happy that I didn’t buy Metal Gear Rising: Reveangance yet. I’m assuming this packs in Jetstream, Blade Wolf, the MGS4 costume, and the VR Missions?

  • These deals aren’t that great.

  • Oh my God! I just recently bought Max Payne 3(game only without DLCs)! Can I ask for a refund and buy the Ultimate edition?

  • sub par deals at best..last year ultimate bundles were better. Mortal Kombat, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Borderlands to name the ones i got last year..starhawk for 16 is decent, but the sp is already free for ps plus..so idk, maybe asscreed iii if that the one that includes liberation on the vita..but not really that epic of a deal.

    • Pierre Gravereau

Even if you own StarHawk SIngle Player, $16.44 to get all StarHawk DLCs is still a OK deal actually. :-)

  • Metal Gear Rising isn’t a bad deal but the HD space it will take up is killer. I hope the PS4 has bigger HD models at launch.

  • Only one worth getting is Arkham city

  • I think the only Utltimate Edition that is worth Buying is Max Payne 3.

Also I post this warning to all,

BEWARE FELLOW BLOGGERS FOR 2 OF THESE TITILES WILL END UP FREE FOR PLAYSTATION PLUS NEXT MONTH. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

  • That Max Payne 3 deal is nice, I might be doing that one.

  • Also Starhawk is worth it as well.

  • Great concept, unfortuantely i’m not interested in a single game listed. Wish there were more rpgs.

  • @10

which two titles are you referring to? Hope its MGR Rising and DMC. They are the only ones i haven’t played yet.

  • I can get most of these cheaper in retail.

  • You can get pretty much all of these games cheaper by just buying retail. Sony really needs to work on this digital distribution thing, since right now theres no real reason to buy this stuff online when it costs MORE and you don’t even get a physical copy.

  • If that’s true about two of them being part of the IGC then I would guess they would be Max Payne and Arkham City.

  • Wait a minute. The price of Assassin’s Creed III is $39.99, and the season pass witlh all the DLCs is $29.99, that’s $69.98. THERE IS NO DISCOUNT AT ALL.

  • @14 which one title was on EU Plus awhile back?

  • Woo hoo! Looks like DmC for me at last! Glad I waited.

  • Is revengeance and or far cry worth the bill? Do I need to play FC2 to enjoy 3?

  • Batman Arkham City GOTY is $19.99 brand new at most retail stores. :\ I love digital, but not when it rips off like this.

  • that-acmilan-guy

LOL! Those are hardly deals, nothing remotely to get excited about.

  • @20 the Batman game is the only one i remember EU getting from that list, but there could have also been other games.

Just wish there were better selections in this ‘deal’ (which others have said aren’t even deals compared to retail). Only one of them i can say is cheaper than retail and thats Arkham City. I bought the Game of the Year edition last year from gamestop for around $30.

  • that makes my disc version of Starhawk kinda useless lol

  • This is the big sale? Some of those are more expensive than they were on launch day. Tossing in the DLC is nice, but the whole point of DLC (last I checked) is so people can extend their enjoyment if they like the game so that the cost of entry doesn’t go up. Isn’t the vast majority of people that would pay for all the DLC up front people who already bought the game the day it came out?

Isn’t 6+ months later the time to be lowering the cost of entry so more people can get into the game and subsidize the lower up-front cost with DLC sales?

  • @23 whoops looks like even the price of Batman GotY has gone down since i last got it. Then this sale is officially a rip-off. lol

  • BUYER BEWARE: at least two of these games will be part of the free Instant Game Collection for Plus members next month, if last year is any indication. No Sony, I haven’t forgotten.

  • @27 great point. They should offer the game themselves at a cheaper discount as well. If you don’t care about pointless dlc (Persona 4 Arena’s character color palettes) you should be able to get the game itself $10-15 lower than this ultimate bundle.

  • @25 Thats correct last years Ultimate Editions 2 of those titles were InFAMOUS 2 and Just Cause 2 I believe InFAMOUS 2 was 20.00 bucks and Just Cause 2 was 15 ( I brought Just Cause 2 and Mafia 2 Ultimate Editions). Then come E3 with the IGC InFAMOUS 2 and Just Cause 2 were starting selection of free games. A LOT of people were made at that. This is a sure sign of history repeating itself

  • Great games, terrible prices.

  • I wish these sales would cover DLC-only bundles.

I have a bunch of those games, and wouldn’t mind the add-ons, especially for Max Payne 3 and Batman, but am not interested for the normal price. I don’t know why we can’t get add-on bundle sales for those who already bought the game.

Sales always seem to be full games only. I can’t remember ever seeing a big sale on add-ons. Heck, most of the DLC I own is a result of me buying GOTY editions, since that’s cheaper than the DLC on the store.

  • Almost all of these games can be found cheaper on disc. Batman AC GOTY is $16 all the time on Amazon, so this is a joke. The game alone was $15 a month or two ago for all PSN members, so why would the Ultimate Edition be worth nearly double? The only good deal is Starhawk’s UE for PS+, assuming people still play the game.

    @29

Just because 2 of the Ultimate Edition games ended up free last time doesn’t mean it will happen again. With that said, I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens again.

  • Interested in Max Payne 3 and Batman City. still to much for me. il see maybe il bite on one of them.

  • Also one thing to not Assasins’s Creed 3 and Modern Warfare 3 have the same discount prices, but there orginal prices are the same. Is that correct?

  • @31 oh i remember that from last year. i didn’t know that was also called ultimate edition sale. I do remember being pissed about spending $15 on Just Cause 2, only for it to become announced free the next week for E3.

  • give me a decent discount on transformers and I’ll take it for the classic skin pack, not going to spend 60 usd

  • Amazon has these for Cheaper brand New. i guess ii really sont see the point now… :/

  • Dang. they’re Ultimate Editions only & i’ve been wanting to try some of those titles, but I hardly bite on any DLCs .

I’ll just save up for Revelations.

  • @Ryumoau yeah it was but I didn’t mind Just Cause (pent intended) I got the DLC while the IGC didn’t have that.

  • Is this the Great Sale that was hinted at.

    Wow.

I can not wait to pay full retail price, to get all the additional content, that should have came with it in the first place.

Maybe if you spent more time developing your games, instead, of makng new skins, adding a few bonus levels ,and making online extras, you would have greater success.

It is not enough you simply copy content and change the look, but you really have to charge prices like that as well?

    Get it together Sony.
    Seriously.

  • These deals are laughable at best. Does playstation realize that steam sales have existed for years now and gamers are not bound to unreasonable prices on games that are over a year old. Last weekend black ops 2 was free play for the weekend and dropped to 39.99. Assasins creed has been as low as 24.99 on steam, batman ac goty 10 and so on. This sale brings a gen old cod for more than retail cost just because dlc is packed in? All the hardcore cod players have bought all dlc on release so anyone waiting or a sle on cod this long is probably a casual cod fan who wants to play sp and a casual game of mp fom vanilla mp…so why the sale on dlc. Please guys vote with your hard earned dollar, don’t buy this. Also the blog cast host should have said your wallets will be safe this week…save your money for a pc and dl steam.

  • This is actually quite shameful.

Especially Metal Gear Rising having so much DLC. It’s a pitifully short game . Only full retail games to actually be shorter would be Vanquish and the current champion: Asura’s Wrath.

If I even wanted these games, I’d buy them on disc at a pawnshop or something for 9-12 dollars. The amount of DLC these days is getting really absurd.

If you looked back to the PS2 generation, these ” Ultimate Editions” were actually the full game at launch.
Nowadays, it’s all called ” extra”.

  • can we get only the full games and not the dlc’s at great price pls let me know i dont want the dlc’s i just want the games:(

  • i think you or me should take a math class cuz i cant see the 75% of

    • Pierre Gravereau

StarHawk offers 75% off to PLUS members on the price of the individual game + its add-ons. Note that it is 70% off to PLUS members for the Max Payne 3 Ultimate Deal.

  • Buyer beware… You CAN find these titles at far cheaper/reasonable prices at your local Gamestop or Amazon.

Batman Arkham City Game of the year edition is only $19.99 New, so are many other Goty editions at Gamestop and Amazon.

No wonder the industry wants to move to digital asap, so they can get the lazy and uninformed to pay those prices.

Friends don’t let friends waste money on overpriced/awful deals. Please shop around.

    My .02

  • Just got batman GOTY but might get max payne

  • this is definitely not a deal… just look at the Far Cry 3 deal, on amazon you can get FC3 for $30 and DLC is $10. how is that a deal? PSN you need to start being like STEAM. because you guys are pathetic. and this is coming from a ps3 fan. i dont game on anything else.. i really hope you start being like steam with the PS4 because these “deals” are NOT deals.. it looks like deals to people that dont know any better.

  • You have some good deals but games like Batman only cost $19.99 and includes all the DLC so I guess I will have to do more research before buying anything and see if it’s truly worth it
