The Pinball Arcade Season One Bundle: 18 Tables, $29.99

The Pinball Arcade: Season One Bundle

Starting today, we will be offering the Pinball Arcade launch pack of four tables, free to PS Plus subscribers! Tales of the Arabian Nights, Black Hole, Theatre of Magic, and Ripley’s Believe it or Not are all great tables.

If you’re a Plus subscriber and you haven’t tried our game yet – what do you have to lose? These machines are all classics. The depth, well-balanced, and yet, challenging gameplay is something that’s worth checking out.

But that’s not all.

We have bundled our first ten Table Packs together into a Season One bundle. Players can now buy 18 of the all-time greatest tables at an amazing discount!

There are two options. The Season One Bundle costs $29.99 — bought separately, these 18 tables would cost almost $50 — but for the serious pinball fan, the Season One Pro Bundle for $39.99 is the way to go.

The Season One bundle includes; Medieval Madness, Bride of Pin•Bot, Cirqus Voltaire, Funhouse, Monster Bash, Gorgar, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Black Knight, Harley-Davidson 3rd Edition, Taxi, Elvira and the Party Monsters, No Good Gofers, Scared Stiff, Big Shot, Twilight Zone, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Attack From Mars, and Genie along with the Twilight Zone and Star Trek: The Next Generation custom balls.

The Pinball Arcade: Star Trek TNG

The Pinball Arcade: Twilight ZoneThe Pinball Arcade on PS3 and PS Vita

The Pro Bundle also includes access to the Pro Upgrade of Tales of the Arabian Nights, Medieval Madness, Scared Stiff, Twilight Zone, Attack from Mars and Star Trek: The Next Generation. The Pro Upgrade of our tables gives you access to the Operator’s Menu, (allowing you to change many factory default settings), the ability to move the ball around the table at will, a mode that allows you to have your camera travel around the table, and tips on playing the table from IFPA pinball pros.

Bought separately – all of this DLC would cost almost $70.

As always, everything in the Pinball Arcade is Cross-Buy, so you only have to buy once to own any of our DLC for both PS3 and PS Vita.

In other news, we want to offer our congratulations to the top finishers of the first Pinball Arcade PSN Tournament:

Jpelter 769.891
TOUGE_KILLER 704.837
ALOL997 699.059
observer101 690.061
heinz70 678.896
Zoop25 677.775
thepindo 676.490
bart4955 675.948
xjdcdestroyerzx 674.916
ScotchYeti 674.663

The top 200 finishers will receive a message through PSN with vouchers to redeem the Twilight Zone and Star Trek: The Next Generation custom balls. The top 100 finishers will receive these balls plus the Eyeball.

These Custom Balls are actually pretty cool and they can be used on any table. We recommend trying the brightly colored ones to help see the ball better. [To change your pinball to be a Custom Ball, select Extras from within the Options of any Table Menu.]

Thanks to everyone who participated, and as always, thanks to everyone for supporting the Pinball Arcade!

  • thats pretty cool :) …. i wish the Zen Pinball guys made a bundle for their zen pinball 2 :(

  • Cant say it is not eye candy for sure.

    But really…….$30.00?

Will have to try it out for free though.

  • @1 Go tell the guys at Zen Studios that then.

That bundle looks very nice, a plus discount would have been nice to coincide with the free tables but still the price is worth it if the content is fun.

  • Count me in. I was hoping for a sale on the extra tables since I don’t have any of them yet.

  • ahhh, I know you guys working on ps4 version, will we be having a 3 way cross buy by any chance?

  • $30? no thanks

  • I’d been hoping for 50% off across the board on additional tables DLC since I bought Pinball Arcade day 1 last year. That would allow me to cherry pick the tables, or table pairings, I really want. I am glad to see a complete bundle, though. May have to consider this in lieu of other discounts.

  • I appreciate the amount of work that went into recreating each of these tables, but having owned Pinball Arcade since early on, you lost me with these table packs. I think the price-point will cause only hardcore pinball fans to purchase them, and I’m not sure that many hardcore pinball fans are into these (admittedly impressive) emulations. If you sold the tables a la carte, I would purchase more of the tables I want. $30 is way too steep for a bunch of tables, the majority of which I don’t care for.

Further, I really don’t like what you did with the interface. One of the motivating factors for buying numerous tables was actually being able to browse through the tables, in the home screen. That virtual rec-room actually sort of made me want to collect more tables. I don’t know why you made the interface uglier and removed the nice large table previews that looked so lovely on the TV and the Vita screen.

Lastly, for all that is decent and humane, please add the ability to turn off the theme music. Please, please. The low-rent version of The Who is more annoying than words.

Sorry for the tough love, but I want you to put your best foot forward. I want you to succeed. I really do.

  • @5. No they are not atleast for games already out. PS4 has a totally different architecture and the only backwards compatibility may be possible through cloud services, other than ps1 games which use emulation to play. Future games might have three way cross play but based off of knack and whats been announced, its probably only going to be ps4 and vita cross play.

@8 the purpose of the pack was for hardcore pinball fans, its not really for people who only want twilight zone and maybe acouple more tables. the deal is really good still, but as for me, im happy with twilight zone alone, so this bundle wasnt made for me nor was it made for you. 5 bucks for a great twilight zone emulation is a great enough deal for me

  • Anyone else having a problem installing pinball arcade after the store update? Gets to 15% then error c2-12383-7 happens, and if I click the other part of the download it says cannot find application. This is on vita btw.

I bought the core pack on day one, and every DLC pack on day one as well. Altogether, I’ve invested $70 in The Pinball Arcade… and it has been WORTH EVERY PENNY.

To get $30 off is an incredible value.

And as I always say, keep up the good work FarSight. Let’s get some of those bugs ironed out. This game is borderline greatness… just needs a little clean up here and there.

That doesn’t make any sense. This is exactly what a “hardcore” fan (such as myself) would love. And I do.

  • @9 Maybe you’re right, but a la carte sales would be a great alternative for us less-hardcore pinball fans. I love Black Hole, Bride of Pin-Bot, and Medieval Madness, but I don’t care much for the tables that came packaged with them. There are some other tables I’d like, but I just can’t warrant spending $5 on one table I want and one I don’t.

  • @12 More power to ya, but I was suggesting that hardcore pinball fans might prefer the real thing to a video game emulation. I guess you defy that assumption.

  • @ Loco4FourLoko

    Same here.

  • I really like the game and have bought all the tables day one. However, that means I have spent twice the cash on the games. I would be happy to buy a Season 2 pass for upcoming tables at this price right now, even though only two table are out. Otherwise I will just wait for a bundle down the road for the new tables.

  • I already have a lot of the tables from the Hall of Fame Williams Collection disc, so i wish there was a sale on the individual tables. And seeing as I have them on the Wii too (plus the Gottlieb collection), I’m not game for buying some of the tables for a third time.

  • @9 yeah that is cool as well, since i get the tables for the vita as well, sounds good to me either way, can’t wait to see what it’s going to look like on ps4 :)

  • Only game I regret purchasing for my Vita…….

  • So I downloaded this game and its not really free its still a demo…you mention the 4 tables Tales of the Arabian Nights, Black Hole, Theatre of Magic, and Ripley’s Believe it or Not are these free or not plz clear the confusion…

  • @14 You are obviously right that hardcore pinball fans would rather play the real thing, but you’re forgetting that pinball isn’t as popular now as it was back in the 90s. Pinball machines are a rarity these days, and if you’re lucky enough to live close to an arcade that actually has pinball machines, then great. However, for people like me where there’s no pinball to be found anywhere close by, our only option for our pinball fix is to either buy your own tables (expensive option) or buying games like The Pinball Arcade. Sure it’s not as awesome as the real thing, but it’s the only option we have to be able to continue playing pinball.

  • Avoid this if you want it for the Vita. Farsight has NO regard to quality control, and has released tables that are unplayable and clearly broken.

  • Exaggerate much? I have no issues playing it on the Vita and I rarely play it on the PS3. The only issue I really have is the slowdown on Dr. Dude. Everything else plays fine to me. Sure, it could use better textures, but as long as the gameplay is fine, then that’s all I care about.

  • The game runs at about half proper speed, and the art assets are super low res. It’s not an exaggeration. The table doesn’t run nearly as well or as fast as any other version, and it’s low res textures are HORRIBLE.

You act like it is fine, but farsight themselves have acknowledged that the release is busted.

  • Let alone the other glitches , like the issues firepower has, cactus canyons super low res art, etc.

  • Trying to play this but everytime it downloads I get a message that says “could not install. An error has occurred (C2-12383-7).
I tried restarting my vita and redownloading twice and still the same message. Any help would be appreciated!?!

  • Will you guys plz fix this error r we suppose to have 4 free tables or r do we need to buy them if so then technically speaking this isnt free for plus user im not complaining because i got Germinator which is very addictive and im still having fun with Sleeping Dogs :)!

  • its not letting me download. so even if i did want to play it wont let me

  • For just 29.99?? u kidding right? xD

  • Lower it to 15 or 20 Max and il bite.

  • I download this Pinball Arcade Demo months ago…

    Today…

“Pinball Arcade (PS3, PS Vita, Cross-Buy Enabled)
PSN Price: $9.99 >>>>>>>>, Free for PS Plus members <<<<<<"

Today, I downloaded the "Full game"… And I received the BEAUTIFULL DEMO (AGAIN)!

    LOL!

… Are the uploaders having some problems?

  • The Pinball Arcade in PSN PLUS today is not the full version… Is the DEMO version… Please see my comments.

    =====

About the bunble: I like Pinball Games! It´s interesting this full pack! I´ll think about it! Black Hole, Martians Attack, Elvira, are amazing!…

Are planing to launch the Space Jam Pinball?

  • $30 for pinball!?!? What drugs are you on? Are you insane?

  • @11, I agree with you, it is an incredible value. I also bought the core pack on day one, but as the new packs got released, something else always got released at the same time, forcing me to put off buying it. After a while, when I saw how many different tables they had, I just figured I’d wait for a sale, and here it is. I actually ended up buying the pro pack for $10 more because I knew I would want the pro versions of those tables. As a long-time fan of pinball, I’m loving it, especially since I remember playing a lot of them in the arcade back in the day. Now, I think I’m going to wait for the inevitable sale of the season two tables.

Also, for everyone complaining about the price, no one is forcing you to buy it. If you aren’t a big pinball fan, then this sale isn’t for you. You’re better off saving your money in favor of something you would really enjoy. For me anyway, it’s $40 well spent. To each his own, guys!

Well obviously, we’d prefer the real thing. That goes without saying. But that isn’t entirely feasible, now is it? Many of the tables in this collection are classics, old, hard to find in working condition, and very expensive. If I was a millionaire, then sure.

  • PrimeroIncognito

    @drGiggles

    Oh jeez… this genius again.

Yeah, $30 for 22 of the 26 available tables. That’s about $1.37 per table, each of which would probably go for somewhere between $2,000-$5,000 for the actual machines. I know, terrible deal, huh? God, you’re dense.

If pinball isn’t for you, why even post here? Oh yeah, you’re not very smart. I remember now…

  • PrimeroIncognito

    @ duke301

Right there with ya, brother. I don’t know why these trolls post here either. Must be sad for them to have such a crappy life with nothing better to do.

How could anyone complain about $2.50 per table? (And now $1.37 per table during this sale) The value is so damn amazing, I feel like I’m ripping FarSight off!

    @ Demonbird

Yeah, I’ve heard that the Vita version has problems, but I wouldn’t know about that since I don’t have a Vita. All I know is that it plays brilliantly on the PS3. The PS3 version is apparently the best one as far as I know. Better than all the different mobile editions. It’s better on a big screen too, anyway.

  • Given what each table pack costs normally people, 30 bucks is a STEAL. I’d be buying it myself if I didn’t already own them all! I freaking LOVE the Pinball Arcade. Between the classic tables here & the non-conventional digital offerings of Zen Pinball, Playstation (both on PS3 & Vita) is THE place for dedicated pinball playing fans like me. Now that I’ve professed my eternal pinball love to ya Farsight, when ya gonna give us the “Addams Family” & the “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” classic tables??? Pleeeeeeeeeeassssseeeeeee???? :)

  • How do we fix the error problem. I’m having the say on as all the rest.

  • hi guys, I have all tpa, tables on ps3, xbox360 and my Samsung phone.all zen tables on ps3, xbox360, phone and pc. the price of tables are not that bad.in the 1970`s I use to spend $5 _ $10 a week on pinball machines.come on guys todays prices are not bad. thanks!!!!!!!

  • I tried SEVERAL TIMES to download for Vita….. IMPOSSIBLE!

Game not runs?… No answare for the problem?

    …I changed my mind! >:[

  • I can’t download my free Pinball Arcade game on PS PLUS for my PSVITA Please FIX THIS SONY.:(

  • I can´t download Pinball Arcade in PS3 and Vita Error c2-12383-7

  • All I care for is Elvira table….gimme that and I’ll be happily ever after.

  • At some point will check these out, but being a PS Plus member I have a serious library of games. One day I suppose i’ll look into this.

  • Too many children here who can’t do math whining about prices. For the love of our species survival, stay in school folks.

Also for those with the valid complaint of the Vita Pinball Arcade you should be directing these to the forums where Sony’s officials are actually present and not on the company page post that has nothing to do with an error on Sony’s network.

  • The reason why no one can download the Vita version of Arcade Pinball is because the network is down or is under maintenance they told me to try later tonight to download it or tomorrow morning

  • WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THE HORRIBLE RESOLUTION QUALITY OF THE PLAY-FIELD IMAGE FOR THE TWILIGHT ZONE!!!??? (VITA VERSION)

  • Oh and get on EARTHSHAKER!!!!!

  • This is some pretty cool virtual pinball. I really love the idea of recreating actual tables like this. It’s amazing that you guys brought something new to the table out of something so old. :D

I’m going to have to wait for a sale, though. As attractive as all this is, it’s a little steep.
