Hohokum Unveils E3 Trailer

Hello there! It has been about a month since we announced that Hohokum will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita next year. At the time I mentioned that we would have some gameplay footage coming soon…and here it is! It features lots of new gameplay footage as well as a close look at some of the characters from the game. These bits were fun to make as they bring together lots of characters who never actually meet in the game. They seem to be getting on ok though, particularly Brollygirl and the oil-can guy. Gonna have to watch those two.

If you missed our previous announcement, Hohokum is a colorful, charming and whimsical game made by myself, Richard Hogg (I am an artist and illustrator) and Honeyslug, a London based game studio. It was an IGF and IndieCade finalist in 2011. Hohokum will be playable at E3 in a few different locations including the PlayStation booth and the marvelous IndieCade booth. Look forward to seeing a bit more about Hohokum coming out of the show!

  • Yessss. I’ve been so pumped for this. Keep it up; looks so trippy.

  • Looks great, keep up the good work team.

  • This looks fantastic. I love a game with a great soundtrack; this is definitely going to be one of them.

  • I love the music and the art style.

  • Looks perfect for the Vita, thanks.

  • I am extremely excited for this one, can’t wait!

  • This looks awesome, I’m getting on Vita, by the way I expected to hear “Tomorrow Never Knows” from the Beatles during this trailer, it looks so surreal, yet wonderful.

  • Music reminds me a ton of Black Moth Super Rainbow / Tobacco. I read about this on the blog, then in Game Informer…I’ll definitely be getting this ASAP!

  • Really great soundtrack, game looks awesome

  • That music, awesome.

  • Visually very striking. Could you explain what the object of the game is? It looks like some of the objects were changed when the moving figure passed by it, but other then that I’m not sure what is going on.

  • The indie games are imperative for the PS Vita, glad to see more games for PS Vita!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can’t wait to relax out to this on PS Vita.

  • I am still not sure what the game is about, but I’m looking forward to playing it on Vita!

  • PS4 still has time to implement retrocompatibility with PS3 games, PS2 games and PSX digital games and decline Plus being mandatory to play online maintaining online playing free for everyone. If they don’t, I will give the thumbs down to PS4, use my PS Plus account to “buy” free PS4 games and only buy it after it has dropped it’s price dramatically or they add compatibility with PS3 in any way they want to. I encourage everyone that bought over 190 digital PS3 games supporting this company to do the same. RESPECT TO MY PS3 GAMES COLLECTION!

  • It kind of reminds me of noby noby boy, looking forward to this game.

  • I have to say that I am looking so forward to this game almost more than any other PS4 games. It looks amazing.

And I also have to say that thank you so much for putting amazing music in a game and actually using great artists and a great record label in Ghostly.

Its so refreshing to see music from respected electronic music artists and not your commercial **** like Deadmau5 etc…

Would be great to actually get a soundtrack for the game as a DLC or something.
