  • Awesome :)

  • exclusive cars to Gamestop nooooooooooooooooooooo :( I’m not a fan of this kind of thing..

  • Nissan GT-R im in.

  • Yeah, not a fan of exclusives tied to any particular store. But hey, it’s business, I suppose.

Also, is there any change to the Porsche licensing situation? Any chance of Porsche’s in GT6?

  • Instead of the 1 mil in game credit, I’ll pre-order if you can give me $250,000 out game credit. Went down less than half. :)

  • It would be nice if you could transfer your garage from GT5 to GT6 somehow.

  • Anyone else wanting this on the PS4? I’m a big fan of the GT series since the beginning I own every one but I really would rather play this on the PS4. I wish they would have made this a PS3/PS4 release so people on board for the next gen didn’t have to go to last gen to play it.

  • Ken Chan can we get gt5 on the psn store please thank you

  • 1 Million Credit from Amazon!!!!???….. errrr….. wait I read it wrong…

  • I hate pre-order bonuses… especially when you’re forced to shop at Gamestop to collect them. How about giving everyone who buys the game a complete product, and stop this nonsense where you force everyone into shopping at a specific retailer so that you can pad your numbers and then telling us that WE’RE the ones getting a bonus?

    • To clarify, all cars listed above exist within the game, and you would have to unlock them individually. The cars and items within the 15th Anniversary Edition are intended for those that want a unique GT experience with custom livery and performance upgrades added to their collection of cars

  • If this is announced for PS4 before it’s release date that would be awesome. Until then, guess I’ll be missing out on the pre-order cars.
It’s hard though. Sony is showing us all these great games for PS4, but we still have games coming out for the PS3 that I want to play. Don’t recall a transition to next gen being so difficult with such great games still to come on current gen.

  • I personally enjoyed the stealth car pre order I got when I bought gt5 because of how exclusive the cars were like I would get compliments for driving the McLaren f1 stealth cars. I hope they release similar cars or the cars listed have similar livery. Im down to pre ordering this after we get more details on the 15th anniversary edition.

    • Glad you were a fan of the stealth PO from GT5. We will have detailed visuals of the custom livery within the pre-order line-up of cars very soon

  • XpAcErX and Seeby4.

I agree, I’m already on board for next gen, but I’ll be getting a few PS3 games that will be launching around the same time as PS4. Puppeteer, Beyond: Two Souls, and GTAV.

I’ll definitely be booting my PS3 up from time to time just to play GTAV.

  • I saw some of the GT Academy winners race in the Le Mans 24 hour this weekend. It was very cool to see it.

  • Sign me up for the GameStop edition =D

    • Indeed! It’s the largest program to date, especially since all 20 cars will have custom Gran Turismo livery enhancements only available through pre-order. You can also unlock each car in the game, but it won’t have the special visual & performance enhancements

  • GTAV is not coming to PS4? Not sure if want the Million credits or all those cars.

  • Although i am going to get PS4 day 1, i cannot skip a Gran Turismo game going to pre-order it through amazon

  • PLEASE put more Pontiacs in the game.

Early and late model Trans Am, GTO and Gran Prix GTP

I would kill for the never released 2003 Trans Am 421ci

  • Will I be able to transfer my cars in my garage from GT5 to GT6?

  • Porsche?

  • Hi, Will there be any collector’s edition like GT5? Thanks.

    • The 15th Anniversary Edition is the only special version available. Best of all, it’s an automatic upgrade if you reserve through GameStop

  • My favourite game totally ruined for me.

Now I won’t struggle starting with a miata, struggling to get credits and upgrades to my old miata. For years I have followed the GT franchise but you just took away what i like more of the game.

Anyway, loose 1 consumer doesn’t mean anything for Sony. Goodbye.

    • Don’t worry, we didn’t forget our core fans that enjoy unlocking cars + upgrades. The 15th Anniversary is meant for a celebration with the fans, giving you unique GT designed vehicles to race online. It doesn’t effect your single player experience at all since racing license are still required, and most of the cars exceed the entry level races

  • Honestly, I hate pre-order bonuses that break the game. Why spend time balancing a progression system, and then just give players 1,000,000 credits on day one? It took me a while before I hit my first million in GT5, but that was part of the fun.

  • AMAZING pre-order bonuses. Will pre-order very soon. Truly can’t wait for GT6. PLEASE release it sooner rather than later. If you get the chance to expedite the launch, feel free. And I plan on buying any and all track DLC so please make it affordable.

Some track requests for DLC: Watkins Glen, Sonoma, Bristol, Phoenix, Pocono, Tahiti Maze, Grand Canyon and Rock Trails. Also, there’s been a rumor that Top Gear Test Track won’t be in GT6. It’s my new favorite track. Can you please deny or confirm this rumor.

And to people complaining about pre-ordering at Gamestop, I don’t like supporting them either. But pre-ordering and buying new at gamestop isn’t supporting gamestop, it’s supporting the industry. Buying used there supports gamestop. When you’re getting great ingame content for pre-ordering at gamestop, feel free without guilt. YOU are the winner there, not gamestop.

  • YOU ARE A BUNCH OF F-ING A-HOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ONLY GAVE THE STEALTH AND CHROME TO LESS THAN 25% OF THE COMMUNITY AND NOW THIS.

YAY I HAVE HAVE TO GO TO STUPID GAMESTOP, THE STORE I REALLY HATE, TO HAVE A COMPLETE GT6 GAME THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH

NOW CAN YOU PLEASE PUT THE F-ING STEALTH AND CHROME ON THE PSN STORE SO EVERYONE CAN HAVE IT, I’M SURE I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE GETTING TIRED OF RUNNING INTO STEALTH CARS AND NOT BEING ABLE TO CATCH UP TO THEM.

  • @24 The Chrome cars were for the Collectors Edition only & will stay that way. They said up front those cars would be exclusive to Collectors Edition.

Great pre-order stuff for GT6, thanks PD.

  • Does the game still look and play like an Office application?

  • @26 Coming from a guy who has never played GT5, according to your Trophy data. It’s an awesome game, your missing out.

  • @KenChan

I have purchased every Gran Turismo game on launch……..I even have the special edition of GT 5 and now you would force me to shop at gamestop. I avoid gamestop like the plague and now the only way I can get the special 15th anniversary edition is to go against my morality and shop in a store that I thoroughly hate.

This is really sad SONY. I can understand not selling this through to retailers but I can’t even get the GT6 15th at a sony store. This sucks. Thank you for turning me into one of the blog raging idiots that I hat so much.

  • NOTHINGGG beats amazon.

  • Actaully the GT5 chromelines and stealths were only exclusive for a limited period (look at the smallprint) and so they could be released as GT5 and/or GT6 DLC. I would happily pay for them as I wasn’t even aware of the Collector and Signature editions when GT5 came out. Hopefully the 20 bonus car liveries will be exactly the same and available in all markets (UK based)

The appearance of paint chips and these unique liveries is worrying as it sounds suspiciously like there won’t be a livery editor which if true would be a big disappointment.

Still, I’m looking forward to the game, particularly the revised track creation options. I hope there is a big improvement on GT5 with regard to that. The GPS option could be great if we can also play scenery items in the same way as Mod Nation Racers which is THE slickest and best designed track creator I have ever seen.

  • Hi Ken, any news on whether GT6 will have Move Support like GT5 did? Haven’t heard any news about this so I figured I’d ask.

  • Please, please answer me this! Will it be available as a digital download??? I don’t want to pre-order then find out it will be available on the PSN!

  • 1 million in in game credit is nothing. How come GameStop gets the far superior pre-order DLC. I prefer to buy from Amazon. This always happens.

  • I don’t know what I want. The best part of the game is starting with nothing and rising to greatness, will this game still support us people who like our tuners?

  • This would have been a perfect pre-order opportunity, if it was available at Amazon rather than gamestop. I no longer buy any of my games at gamestop. I haven’t done so in years. Unfortunate choice of a vendor agreement.

  • People, people calm down. SHEESH. If you don’t want to start off with a bunch of money, then just don’t use the activation code! Idk about you, but that seems like an easy solution to me…

  • Wow, READ what was written. The Gamestop edition is exclusive, not the cars. You could race some seasonal events and build up enough money to buy a nice collection easy enough, so it doesn’t matter what you start off with out of the box.

I was late in the game with GT5 and have barely played the single player stuff because I enjoy the seasonal events more – rolling in dough and cars, at least enough for my satisfaction.

I was shocked to hear this wasn’t for the PS4, though. Bummer there.

  • @36: Yeah, true. A million credits doesn’t really do a heck of a lot anyway in this game. It’s not quite the gamebreaker that some folks make it out to be. My beef is with pre-order bonuses in general, but these aren’t that big of a deal because they aren’t very substantial. You don’t pre-order from Gamestop, you get 1000 cars instead of 1010 or something. You don’t pre-order from Amazon, you have to do a few more races. Not really a catastrophe, IMO.

@35: Unfortunate for us… I’m sure this is a lucrative partnership for Sony/PD and Gamestop. So maybe that will make you sleep a little better? ;-)

  • @25
umm yeah so do a lot of games. i remember when dead island ripper mod was a special edition exclusive. then they put it on the store.
I remember when i bought COD BLOPS2 hardened because they said nuketown zombies would be exclusive to special editions but yet a month later season pass holders got it for free and now it’s on the store for everyone to buy.

my problem isn’t with the chrome cars it’s the stealth over here in america we couldn’t buy the $200 edition to get those unfair cars and we still can’t.

    @37
    wow why don’t you read
“Each of the combined 20 vehicles will have their own unique enhancements, either visually or performance upgrades. ”
“unique performance upgrades” hmm sounds like something you can’t unlock in the game.

  • OMG Thank you for bringing the Shelby GT500 and the SRT Viper to GT6!

  • @39
The Gran Turismo 5 Collectors Edition was a $100 in Canada & U.S. It was pretty cool too. I was kind of hoping they would have one for GT6, a real bummer they are not making one. Since GT5 is the best selling PS3 exclusive, you would think they’d really go all out for GT6.

  • I want a digital download of GT6. I am tired of physical discs. They make me sad.

  • For number 2 then you’ll be ordering at Amazon then. But on another note this is a excellent pre-order for GT6, I’ll check this out for sure!!!!!!!!!!

  • I really hope you reconsider a GT6 CE. I was very impressed by GT5s and still use the chrome cars I got from it. The extras were all very nice too.

That said, these preorders look pretty good. Will look at the GameStop exclusive until I’m sure no CE will be announced. No preorder though until then or until it’s 100% confirmed a CE won’t happen.

Btw… Can we get details of which racing wheels will be supported? I’ve been scoping out the Driving Force GT wheel for use with GT5 but confirmation it’ll work with GT6 would be a huge plus.

  • @36: Amen.

  • Also another question. Will Gran Turismo 6 support Stereoscopic 3D? I highly enjoy playing GT5 in 3D, thus my want for a racing wheel as well.

  • I understand the dislike of retailer specific pre order bonuses. I mean Ni No Kuni had some cool familiars when you pre ordered from different places and they are still not available individually as DLC in the PSN Store, I would like to have them. As far as GT6 goes, I’d rather get the Gamestop one. Plus I don’t understand the hate for Gamestop. Other than basically ripping folks off when they buy your used games, the stores a great, the employees are awesome (and that’s from about 10 different Gamestops I have been too in these past couple of years, some stores don’t have what I am looking for and the employees are kind enough to see if it’s at another store. Never had a problem.) So if you don’t like their used game policies just buy new from them. And no, I do not work for Gamestop, I am currently unemployed and looking for work.

  • No edit buttons? Oh well meant when you SELL your used games not buy, but buying used is often too much too.

  • What if i have already pre-ordered ?!?!
