  • I don’t pre-order from GameStop. They’ve only successfully given me the pre-order bonuses ONCE out of multiple times without me putting up some kind of huge fuss, and that was for Mortal Kombat. Then, the PSN went down like, the next day for about a month. They messed up Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, inFAMOUS 2 Hero Edition, and Skyrim. Whenever I shop there, which is rarely, they ask if I’d like to pre-order anything, and I always tell them no, along with WHY I’m saying no.

    They S U C K at pre-order bonuses. That company doesn’t have it’s s*** together.

  • @27 I own GT5 XL. But its so hard to play. The menus especially feel like an Office application. And the controls are clunky. Way too easy to spin out. Too simmy for me. The whole thing still feels like a PS2 game. So I hope GT6 is a REVOLUTION.

  • @50 indeed they are!
I pre-ordered ace combat assault something something… no bonus, had to call company, finally got one.
I pre-ordered FFXIV – a real reborn, no code, no card, nothing printed on receipt.
Same thing with need for speed the run, called called, nothing, they argued there was no pre-order bonuses (even though their website clearly stated so).

They are pretty horrible with those bonuses.

I’d wish that exclusives pre-order bonuses wouldn’t be so “exclusive” and the other stores would be able to offer them too…

  • I don’t really like giving Gamestop my business. Will this offer be available to customers that pre-order the inevitable day 1 digital psn version?

  • @53 Won’t be digital, too big. Although with Ni No Kuni being about 22 gigs… never know

  • GameStop it is.

Those cars are well over 1 million CR. Amazon makes me laugh.

  • I still have my Gran Turismo tee shirt from the 90’s. I like pre-orders that you can wear. :)

  • @51 Feels like a PS2 game, no way. A couple buddies & I did something very different a while back. We had 5 hours for some Gran Turismo time. We played each Gran Turismo for 1 hour, from GT1 & GT2 on PS1, then GT3 & GT4 on PS2, & finishing the last hour with GT5. Seeing how the series has evolved over the the last 15 years was a pretty fun little exercise. Seeing how their physics/car handling has changed over the years.

Right from playing GT4 & GT5 back to back, I can tell you GT4 controls are very loose feeling & almost overly sensitive compared to GT5. A suggestion for you, my buddies & I have been doing this since GT1, don’t use R2 & L2 for gas & brake. Change it in the options to that Up on the Right Analog stick in gas & down is brake. It’s way better IMO. I’ve switched a wheel around 6 months ago, & that has a bit of a learning curve.

If you still have problems with GT5, maybe it’s not for you. Then I would suggest Burnout Paradise & Need for Speed Most Wanted, they are both great & are a bit more user friendly.

    Cheers

  • @39 Yeah, unique. Like how 4 of the 20 unique cars are included in the other editions, not exclusive to the GS pre-order. Buy a car in the online dealership and see that it already has racing air filters… it’s a unique performance upgrade! Get one that’s already painted a cool color. Upgraded visuals! OR, you could do it yourself.

  • This game should be for the PS4!
Since it’s coming out near the holidays anyways, id rather play it on the PS4!
The PS4 will be able to handle the game better!

So any idea if it will come to PS4?

  • Right now I’m leaning towards Amazon. 1 million credits at startup is the most enticing to me over the Gamestop cars and I’m just a loyal Amazon customer (preordered the GT5 Collectors Edition through them.) I usually keep playing GT until my garage has every single car in the game, so 1 million credits won’t really ruin the fun factor for me.

Beyond The Apex II is an app? Any chance there will be a print version available?

  • Please bring gt6 to the playstation store my ps3 cant play disc based games anymore.

  • As many others have asked, will there be a digital version? Not purchasing physical copies anymore since the PS4 doesn’t support them, and I guarantee I will be pre-ordering if digital is available.

  • Why is everyone complaining about Gamestop? Most everyone on here fought so hard to keep them in Business fighting DRM. An continuing the Used game Market and now none of you want to support the main company that would have been hurt from that Gaming Future? No sense.

  • I’m sorry, the release date? Too long, didn’t read.

  • sensationstation

Will the “15th Anniversary Upgrade” be available to Canadian customers too? Thanks.

  • @63: opposing a terrible drm system isn’t the same thing as supporting Gamestop. I’m not sure why you think “most everyone” was fighting for them or used games in particular. Personally I like to swap games around with co-workers and being able to sell them on ebay when I’m tired of it. It was about consumer rights, not supporting one retailer.

  • So EXCITED for this game.
I was about to pick up GT5 2013 Edition over the weekend but since GT6 was officially announced
I held back and just saved my dollars for this game.
Making a call to my favorite retail store to make my PRE-ORDER:)

  • @Rocky_3000
Kazunori Yamauchi said during the May event in Silverstone that a PS4 release is not impossible
but the team would like to focus on the current gen, which has a larger install base unit, the PS3.
We may need to wait for about a year or so before we can play GT6 to the PS4.
(Don’t forget PS4 is running in a different architecture than PS3)

Hope information above are of help. Cheers!

  • 2014 Stingray, nice! But the 2013 SRT Viper tells me where I’m getting GT6 from. I just hope GT6 releases at least a couple weeks before the PS4 so I can spend a good amount of time with it without any other distractions.

  • I was going to pre-order Gran Turismo 6 anyway… This is an extra bonus! Thanks for that!

I’ll probably pre-order from Amazon. GameStop and I have a troubled relationship on a number of levels.

    MEGA HYPE…. GET!!

  • I’m not buying from Gamestop. You guys are the worst, I loved GT5 but this… pre-order… :<

  • Much to my dismay, STANDARD MODEL CARS will be returning to this game. Will Polyphony at the very least, double their polygon counts so they don’t look ugly and clash with everything in the game???

  • PLZ tell me this game is coming for the PSN store???

  • Will we be able to pre-order GT6 digital version on PS Store ? or GT6 will be avalible only on Blu ray ?

  • Id love to preorder on PSN Store or at least grab it from PSN store in the day of release…

  • I hate retailer specific pre-order bonuses, especially Gamestop, but I’m glad to see Amazon represented at least. Amazon is always so easy to deal with, they should be getting the 15th Anniversary Edition.

I have to echo some of the other commenters and say that this should be given a PS4 release.

  • it be nice if your cars from gt5 ported over to gt6 and hopefully if and when it comes to ps4 it will then port over to that as well

  • ¿Anniversary Edition Whit Steelbook and apex Guide 2.0 its exclusive for Eu market?

  • Hooray, I already have GT6 pre-ordered at GameStop!

Now please give us a release date.

  • Hi Ken, thanks for replying to me @50!

I have a question though… how will they give out these bonuses at gamestop? A code when i go get GT6 at the store?

My last preorder there, they said they didn’t have any at release, the codes were given on receipts at the moment of pre-order…

Had to fight on the phone with gamestop support, to get a code.

Note : I’m going to Gamestop Canada

  • The one thing I didn’t see was a price tag. Are these pre-orders going to cost extra to obtain, or will it work on the line of “You can get these things for free in game, but we’re going to give them to you like you already earned them, at no extra cost.” I feel like that needs to explained before I consider the pre-order.

  • I am canadian and gamestop is american, so how would I be able too get the special edition with the cars that are pre-order special performance only…

  • I hope game stops version comes with the steelbook case…

  • Are they really not going to release one for the PS4? That’s kinda sad if they aren’t, but whatever I’m still gonna buy this game though. Not sure whether to preorder or not yet, but I’m really hoping that this Gran Turismo will be just as exciting as when I bought Gran Turismo 5. I really am looking forward to the new changes that Kazunori Yamauchi presented as many people including me were wanting more options for our cars. However there is one thing that is still missing in the game. Will Porsche finally be a part of the new cars line up? I mean, I deeply feel that Porsche deserves to be in that category of new cars as they have developed many newer models since Gran Turismo 5, a new hybrid in the process, and have been proactive in many races internationally.

  • to all the people complaining about preorder strategies: nobody is forcing you to buy anything. they are simply offering you a bonus for doing so. If you do not like it DO NOT PRE ORDER IT. stop complaining cuz you cant make a decision.

  • So no special collector’s edition for GT6, I loved the little 1/43 Scale die-cast car, and physical Apex book, it was a nice little extra

  • Will GT6 have Koenigsegg and Porsche or at least the newer Ruf cars?

  • theOGdjinfinitee

Recently changed platforms to a PS3, and GT5 is one of my favorite games, so very much lookin forward to ths release! But honestly, who cares about the cars when there’s so many features and abilities missing from the game!! The last copy of Forza I had on my XBOX 360 was Forza 2, and that had more features and customizability than GT5 does!!! This is supposed to be a “real driving simulator” but there’s no real damage! Parts should be flying off cars slamming into walls, catching on fire after flipping over, etc. When you earn enough money in the game to purchase a $300,000+ car, you should have the option to paint it AND offer the ability to add custom vinyl decals, numbering, race mfr stickers, etc!!! Really lame that you can’t do that in GT5 and my Stage 3++ Audi R8 that I’ve probably spent almost a $800,000 on all the parts for can’t be custom designed to look like an actual race car!!

  • theOGdjinfinitee

CONT’D-realize this is a Japanese produced game, but would also appreciate it if the cars weren’t BIASED to Japanese makes being “higher performance” by default!~ For example, my R8 which is fully loaded with every custom part you can buy for the vehicle in game, has (898 HP with 555 ft/lbs of torque at only 1300kg of weight), would absolutely annihilate your upgrade pack “gift car” Nissan “GT-R TC” with only 698 HP and 670 ft/lbs of torque with 1200kg of weight. The R8 would crush that car with almost 200 more HP, hands down, yet, I couldn’t win one of the Seasonal races in 1st with my Audi. The minute I changed to the Nissan all the sudden I’m 10 seconds faster per lap??? I don’t think so!! Also should be front aero upgrades for the S4 and R8 (can you tell I’m an Audi guy?) .

  • Sony, Ken Chan,

Shame on you for teaming up with GameStop as affiliates and making an exclusive “deal” with them to suck away consumers’ money. This is an open market, nor a monopoly. We will take our money where we want to. Not where you dictate to. Shame on you!

  • Okay, so I’m about to be very estatic but 3 cars have me fully in this game. 2013 Shelby GT500 Mustang, Tesla Model S, and the Aventador. I could care less now about the standards at this point.
