Yup, still useless.

Thanks Sony. I threw 14.99 dollars in the trash. I bought the game Mortal Kombat for PS Vita 25 days ago for 19.99 dollars (order 4234480444).

@tjf588, They’ wont restore any video content purchased once lost no matter how much at fault they are. Nor can it be stored on an external device other than a PSP (haven’t tried on vita). So after paying their outrages prices and sitting through a slow download, if for any reason the DL fails or the file is lost later the buyer is screwed. It’s not right and theirs doubts to the legality of it. This is why I won’t buy or rent videos on PSN / SEN. Theres too many better options that are cheaper, better quality and lack the sleazy DRM.

Today I learned that what “July 2nd – 9th” apparently really means is “July 2nd – 8th”

Good to know. No Ratchet and Clank for me.

Amazing sale. Already grabbed

(4$) Alice Madness Returns : you also get American Mcgee’s Alice for free, the 1st game (great art style)

(6$) Fight Night Champion : great deal for all modes including story mode (best boxing game around)

(5$)Star Wars the Force UnleashedII: though a few years old 5$ is unbeatable for this beautiful but short game
the battle of Endor dlc is just $0.99(finally, videogame rendered Ewoks!)

Thinking of getting:

($7.99) Just Cause 2 : an action packed sandbox from Eidos studios starring Rico Rodriguez

($7.50) Silent Hill Book of Memories : only thing holding me back is it’s a 3/4 top down view ala Army of 2 for PSP
(Silent Hill is for Vita)

OK, so added Arkham Asylum and Scott Pilgram into cart…..and the discount disappears…what the heck?

+ Suphaas on July 9th, 2013 at 6:34 pm said:

Yeah, I’m disappointed that, as several people noted, the first wave sale ended sometime before the end of July 9th, while the second wave started sometime after the start of July 9th. The posted dates are confusing, since they imply that they would be on sale during the entirety of July 9th.

To add to the confusion, PlayStation Store *still* shows (9:30pm EDT) the first wave titles under “Summer Game Blast” with sale prices.

great, day 1 of PSN+ for me and this is what I get? real smooth, you figure with a company the size of Sony they would have their **** together

+ WhiffyBizzle on July 9th, 2013 at 7:13 pm said:

Pierre, you are an idiot. You don’t list a sale from July 2nd – 9th, only to be told it ended on the 8th. The author is about as dumb as the support team.

+ punishing1 on July 9th, 2013 at 7:26 pm said:

Yep – what a drag. Just went to get SoC and…$19.99, but the ad is all over the store for it being $5. Luh-ame. It’s still the 9th, right?

270

+ WhiffyBizzle on July 9th, 2013 at 7:54 pm said:

Yep, its still the 9th. I had two online conversations and two phone calls and got no where. They all said it ended yesterday. This official blog clearly shows the dates, and my PS3 still shows the sale price, but its full price once goes to the cart. Hell.. the next week’s sale doesnt even show on my PS3 yet. I bought the PS Plus membership 2 hours ago just to take advantage of some of the deals Ending JULY 9TH. Just pissed 50 bucks away.

New PS3 customer… so disappointed in Sony.

+ SykoticTendancyz on July 9th, 2013 at 7:59 pm said:

After finally getting money to buy something (Black Ops) I can’t because the sale for the first wave ended earlier today. Kinda disappointed, which I know it said until the 9th and the 2nd wave started on the 9th. To a normal person that means the first wave (which STILL shows the pricing in the store) would still be available. If you were going to end the sale during the day, you should have posted a ending time.

272

+ Ciduation on July 9th, 2013 at 8:25 pm said:

Wow, also just added funds to my wallet to get SoC. Clearly states $5 in multiple categories/filters all over the PSN. Was there a specific cut-off time?

273

+ WhiffyBizzle on July 9th, 2013 at 8:43 pm said:

The store just updated at 11:30PM EST. It now shows the new week sales, and the games that should be still on sale (Yep.. its still the 9th) all show at full price. Someone get Sony a 2013 calendar. Moving on…

+ DarkOneX on July 10th, 2013 at 12:36 pm said:

Hrm, I bought that Shadow of Colossus for $5 as I had never played it, great game! I went back after work (got off at 5PM CST) to buy Ratchet and Clank Collection but it was no longer on sale, but I see here it said it was on until 7/9, so what gives!? I really wanted that as I didn’t play those :(

I’m wondering if there are any more weeks for this sale because if it’s really just going on for a couple weeks, that’s not much of a summer sale, lol. Summer lasts longer than two weeks the last time I checked. Also wouldn’t mind seeing some discounts on good DLC. I’d pay for that Epilogue DLC for my old Prince of Persia game if it were 80% cheaper, lol.

+ Death_of_Chaos on July 13th, 2013 at 6:06 pm said:

Just search for the Alice game and it has the mark down price, for PS+ anyway. I went to buy it today and wondered the same thing but searched for it and found it marked down still, I was happy. Lol.
