This week, bring some Olympus style fireworks to the God of War: Ascension Arena with our Arsenal of the Gods Preview Extravaganza! We are unlocking our entire arsenal of available DLC weapons for a free extended preview in-game.
Right now, jump in to God of War: Ascension Multiplayer and get a brutal hands-on test drive with 11 of our DLC weapons for free, in every Multiplayer mode. Wield the latest Titanic Hammers, Weapons of Judgment, Legendary Spears, the Blades of Artemis and Thanatos, and more. These weapons will be unlocked and ready for you the moment you jump in to customize your Warrior.
This free weapons preview will only last until Sunday, July 7th — get in there!
What you should know: All experience (leveling) gained per weapon will be retained if you purchase the weapon after the event. In other words, any experience you gain for a preview weapon that you did not previously own, if you purchase it after the event, the level and experience of the weapon will start where you left off after the preview event.

SSM this is all nice and all, and I love Kratos, but you know what we really want?
Dart from Legend of Dragoon in Playstation All-Stars. We know he was in at one point, already modeled. Please finish him for us. Dart is a great warrior, much like Kratos, Dart’s family was destroyed, much like Kratos, Dart favors the color red, much like Kratos.
If you could give Dart even a fraction of that love that Kratos gets, we would give that love back ten-fold. #ReleaseDart

Long time PSNer but my first time ever posting on the playstation blog, I see a lot of good updates from time to time and GoW Ascension is getting lots of love and that’s great, however might I suggest sharing some of your love with the other franchises such as Twisted Metal, Starhawk, oh and Playstation All-Stars?
From what I’ve seen this game has such a large cult following, it would please the fans to released our beloved, sword-wielding, spikey headed RPG hero, of course I’m talking about Dart from the Legend of the Dragoon Series! #ReleaseDart
The weapons and armour are available individually – that’s microtransactions in a paid game, the same kind of dirty tactics Electronic Arts uses. The downloadable weapons and armour are also overpowered – that’s pay-to-win tactics. I’m ashamed of Sony and Santa Monica Studio for allowing such tactics which borders on being a scam. I thought be SCEA and Santa Monica Studio had more integrity than that. I passionately enjoyed “God of War: Ascension”, the multiplayer, I own “God of War III”, all the HD remakes and “God of War: Chains of Olympus” for my PSP. I also enjoyed “Kinetica” when I had a PS2. I’m heartbroken that Santa Monica Studio would do this.
I too would love to see Dart return, he was one of the most demanded characters for the game. Plus the game really need a RPG character. Dart would have amazing combos as well. Hope this support from this help gets Dart into the game and hopefully show the amount of love for PS All-Stars and Legend of Dragoon have to support both games futures as DLC and sequels to PS All-Stars and Legend of Dragoon. #ReleaseDart

I like how this butt hole completely stopped responding to everyone because they care more about PSASBR then this trash of a game that they slapped the GoW brand on. This is easily the worst God of War in the series and everyone at Sony Santa Monica should be ashamed at this awful work.
On top of that, you guys took control over PSASBR and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING with it. You guys are an awful team and, quite possibly, the worst team Sony owns right now. I can’t think of a more useless team. At least Team Ico doesn’t want to release their game because they want it to be perfect for fans. At least we hear from them on occasion. Give the fans what we want, PSASBR DLC.

Speaking of DLC…I know of a certain game that had a dlc character canned (Dart for PSASBR) and was wondering if you could please bring him back please? This game is amazing and has a fully dedicated fanbase that is willing to purchase more content for this game.
I mean look at this! All these petitions with thousands of signatures all for 1 character, and he isn’t the only one…this fanbase, no matter the odds, will always back this game, always support it…That says alot, So please start supporting this game, we really appreciate it and all the work that has gone into it.

Well more of this nice stuff of course, because Ascensions multiplayer is pretty sweet so far. So the more I see, the sweeter it is. I myself haven’t been able to try it on my own account (playing it at friends house), but am looking forward to giving it a shot in my own home later this week.
Thank you all for giving us a sweet new game to play, and a multiplayer I can enjoy.

PSASBR was just a sell out and slap to the face of everyone and everything. It’s suppose to be about celebrating PlayStation history, icons and classics but yet many classic and iconic PlayStation FIRST PARTY/SONY OWNED IPs aren’t in the game but non PS iconic/classic IPs are in the game before them like Bioshock, Dead Space, Fat Princess and more.
Yushido (I think that’s his name) said he would like to revisit the IP but with a different mechanic. Honestly, WHO CARES if it’s like Smash Bros in how you eliminate and the health bar. What matters is that it’s great, works and fun. If you can make it different and make it just as good or better then that’s even better, but if not, keep it the same. I have been waiting for a Smash Bros game since the first time I got a PlayStation with the PlayStation 2 and when they finally do it, they release this.
Sony just had to relaunch this game, add actual PlayStation icons and classics FOR FREE, improve certain things like main menu and what not, and release one or two great modes. Maybe make the single player free on Plus or do something with Plus and give it great ads and marketing. Smash Bros is one of Nintendo’s biggest IPs and so many, MANY consumers are saying they will buy a Wii U when Smash Bros comes out. Sony could have a huge IP on their hands here.
There is no excuse for not adding Sony owned IPs because Sony OWNS them.
Want to know some Sony owned IPs that are PlayStation classics or iconic that aren’t in this game? Sony knows this as well.

Sony i would buy this game if it came as 2 part release on psn, like uncharted 3. put the single player and the multiplayer portions of the game for idk $25 each. or $40 for the complete game.
