  • I Just got PS+ and I gotta say Im happy with it. I should got it sooner to get Spec Ops and a couple others, but I think its a good investment.

    Keep the games coming!

    • Glad to hear it’s been great for ya! Looking forward to seeing you more in the comments and leaving your feedback

  • Also, to all the people asking for 2 Vita games per months, I don’t think there are that many Vita owners compared to PS3 owners to really give out 2 out of 4 games per month for the Vita. Let’s be real, To do that they would probably replace a PS3 game in the list rather than make it 5 games every month instead of 4.

To the ppl saying less PSP games, I’m gonna have to agree with them. If I had a Vita, I would rather want a free PSOne game than a PSP game. That’s like replacing a PS3 game from the IGC with a PS2 game. Ppl don’t like “replacement”, they like “additions” to the list of IGC.

To the people saying “Vita games should be offered at the begenning of the month not at the end”, really? Would that really change much? I wouldn’t care if the big PS3 game was offered at the end of the month. As long as I get it, I can be patient.

Also Sony, prices of Vita memory cards, are you kidding me? The price of the 32 GB card is 40% more than the price of the entire console.

    /end of rant.

  • 40% in addition*

  • Is the PS3 version cross-save compatible with the Vita version?

  • What?!!! Oh come on sony. You’ve disapointed me =(

  • very very disappointing, what is this? Jet Set Radio seriously? a Dreamcast game!
I was hoping to see GTA IV and its episodes (at least a good discount) , Red Dead Redemption, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Portal 2, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus as part of the instant game collection

  • Time to dust off my move and give Sorcery a whirl.

  • Nothing for me as I *just* purchased Jet Set Radio on another platform the week before the PS+ announcement :(

Any word on if we will see a Plus discount on Mamorukun Curse which hits tomorrow?

  • Morgan…

Please… TALK TO SONY about Vita:

WHAT the HELL SONY IS DOING WITH PS VITA???

    – BIG games for Vita = CANCELED = Example: Warrior´s Lair: a lot of material finished, gameplay, demonstration, and… CANCELED <<< Where are the Sony programs for others developers to finish the job?

    – GAME PORTS with TERRIBLE quality = Example: Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus 2 = graphical problems with a lot of down frame, same as Jax and Daxter Coll.

    – OVERPRICED GAME PORTS = A LOT of Mobile Phone games FREE for Android, IOS and Sony put prices EXTREMLY HIGH!

    – Vita was transformed in PS4 control, with mobile phones games OVERPRICED!

    :/

  • Ducktales would have been perfect on the Vita. It seems like a better fit for Vita than PS3.

  • I thought DuckTales HD was also being released in retail disc form as well, but I don’t see it anywhere.

  • Hey Morgan, i havent seen anyone being interested or saying anything about the carnival island? is that going to be 5.00 for tomorrow also? it doesnt show it on the “available tuesday 7/16 “

    • Yep that one is coming, we just couldn’t fit all the games in the image; but it’s coming tomorrow.

  • Hey, shout out to thelookey6, and thanks, Morgan, for the link. I had not heard anything about this. Wonderful news. I have a couple movies/tv episodes on my original 120 gig slim (going on 4 years and not a whiff of problems, except when playing Skyrim, of course) and I want to trade it in but was delaying because of the onerous transfer process to my other PS3. Now I can just use the cloud and redownload list. Great news!

  • I want to take advantage of the PLAY promotion with the cash voucher only if it’s deliver soon ’cause I also want to take advantage of buying some Move games that are on sale this week. So I wonder if I pre-order them tomorrow when will I have the voucher? otherwise I should go directly to this week sale. Hope I get an answer
It’s hard having so many discounts, I love being a PS+ member =)

  • Hi, I’ve been a PLUS member for a while and did NOT download Jet Set Radio for the Vita when it was free because I didn’t have a Vita. I recently got a Vita and thought “Oh well, my bad, I should have downloaded JSR anyway, just in case”… but NOW it’s coming back, but as a PS3 game only? I’ll still get it and be appreciative, but is this the PS3 version only or is there anyway I am going to get my hands on my free PLUS Download of JSR for Vita? Seems odd that the same game is coming back to the program but I’m still out of luck. Thanks a bunch!

  • you know what would be awesome? If Plus price matched steam sales!

  • Ducktales (or Micky) would be perfect for Vita, just adding my interest in the types of titles I’d like to see. Also RPG games. I don’t need Skyrim per-se, but any RPG games would be will played.

Just wanted to add, that I’m really wanting to play zero escape, but the internets tell me to play 999 first. But I still really want to play it so it’s a great IGC Vita game.

    • Well just make sure it’s in your download list so when you’re ready to play it it’ll be there!

  • @ SpooNManX,

According to the Capcom blog post, the retail version of ducktales is a box, the E3 pin, and a download code. Not disc. :(

  • so when will jet set radio be free exactly

  • I have to agree with some of the others in this thread, this is a pretty weak update. Our free game is a game that was released on the last generation of game consoles 13 yrs ago! on November 1, 2000 for the Dreamcast! Yes, its a good game but its not PS Plus worthy. Especially when most of the other deals are pre-orders we wont get for a month or so. What about Catherine? The game EU PS Plus has had for at least a month! or Hitman? Another game that the EU has received while we are getting 13 yrs old games! I love PS Plus and I recommend it often, but recently Ive been finding myself disappointed more often then not. Thank you for Portal 2 for $5.00 2 weeks ago, that was a great deal. I am disappointed however to see the most exciting thing this week is a Ducktales pre-order. *sigh* *crosses fingers* In hopes that some good stuff, that is actually available, is added to the update.

  • @morgan,

Thanks for the friendly reminder. It’s already downloaded to my Vita, just waiting for me to finish it.

  • Anyone that doesn’t buy Sorcery… smh. If you own a PS Move, but not that game, you’re doing it wrong.

  • @ Morgan Haro, months of being a PS+ member since last year, i finally have my trust on you, im planning on getting a PS VITA, your team is making good progress on PS+ games for PS3 and PS VITA, all these amazing games your Team are putting up for PS+ are Outstanding. Your team inspired me to get a PS VITA now, becuase of the free games for PS VITA i wanted to play, from PS+ :), THANKS PS+, and Morgan Haro, for the PS+ updates ;)

  • EU get DMC? we get Jet Set? :(

  • Just wanted to comment here because I can… may have to get PS+ for myself.

  • This may be a stretch but could we have at least half of the PLAY titles be cross buy? Pleasing everyone isn’t easy but excluding one ilk by making titles exclusive to one platform creates a problem like in the previous comments no Vita love etc.

Month to month I am pleased with the IGC, some weeks don’t do much for me so would it possible to have sales the weeks that the triple A titles don’t get entered into the collection? For instance last week I bought several things on sale since I wasn’t interested in Oddworld.

Closing out here are some games I would like to see on the IGC

    PS3:

    Dantes Inferno
Call of Duty: Black Ops 1
    WWE 13
    Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning
    Hoard
    Pain
    Voltron: Defenders of the Universe

    PS Vita

    Unit 13
    Dungeon Hunter Alliance
    Metal Gear Solid Collection
    Sine Mora

If you read this Morgan thanks :)

  • Are the ps plus discounts for the PSN Play Games this year pre-order only?

  • I’d love to see Resistance Retribution as a future PSP/Vita title. Maybe Killzone HD to celebrate the release of Mercenary.

  • Jet set radio is not bad Hopefully it will keep me busy until the next plus game arrives next month.

    Catherine anyone ???

  • These deals are very cool, just might buy something.

  • @128
Catherine looks pretty cool, it’s been on EU for quite some time I think, which is ashame,
and they’regetting DmC next month!!!!! While we get Jet Set Radio,a Dreamcast port :(

    Wassup with that, Morgan?

  • Catherine is really cool after playing the demo it seems like it would be a great addition to the IGC I liked the humor from the game.

  • Hey Morgan, will we get 3 vita titles in August to replace Uncharted Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush and Wipeout2048?(Since it’s been a year since PS+ Vita has been introduced)

  • Hey Morgan,

I just felt the need to chime in with my opinion. I have noticed some feedback that is less than flattering toward you directly and the nature of some individuals to be perpetually dissatisfied with the content that is offered. I will say that I have been interested in checking out JSR and I do not yet own a PS Vita. So, thank you.

Regarding gripes about an absence of Vita love and PSP games being offered, let’s keep in mind that the PSP is still a totally viable and impressive console. Should PSP owners be completely disregarded as PS Plus subscribers? I don’t hear them griping.

Thanks for all you do and all of the interaction, Morgan. You are appreciated.

  • Well, I won’t get Jet Set because I already played the Vita version, but I’ll surely look for the Ducktales discount!

And I’ll just take this space to another thanks message. I just finished one of the best games I’ve played this year, XCOM Enemy Unknown, and I wouldn’t have played it without PS+. And the list of great games that I only played because of Plus is getting bigger and bigger. So, thanks to everyone who is part of this amazing service. I hope and I know that it will only gets better!

And maybe one of these days we will get Hitman Absolution just like our european folks!

  • Where are the games for PS Vita in the IGC? We need more games, Sony! :)

  • Very weak PS Plus for the Vita for a couple months now. If software sales are around 10 games per user why aren’t we seeing more content arriving for the Vita (first party)? As far as I’m concerned indie games don’t mean crap. Sony raves about indie games but every time I’ve bought one except for Zombie Tycoon II and Men’s Room Mayhem I feel like I’ve wasted my money. Sony advocates indies because they think indies will be creative and revolutionize. I’ve seen none of that or are 2D shooters revolutionary?

Come on, you can’t genuinely think i’ll be satisfied with 100MB games on my $250 system with a $30 memory card do you? I bought a Vita one month after it released and I’m also a PS Plus member, but this is pitiful and a disgrace to the PlayStation brand.

  • I’d like to suggest Dynasty Warriors: NEXT for the PSVITA IGC.

  • @Morgan

I’m sorry if it feels like i’m attacking you. I have nothing against you, but if you could give me other mediums with which to communicate with people who can get things done at Sony I’d be happy to not troll on here again. I’m just very dissatisfied with software on the Vita and Sony’s stance on the Vita.

  • Morgan,

I want to vent my dissatisfaction with the PS Plus IGC service in regards to Vita. At this point, PSP owners have gotten about as much out of Plus as Vita owners, despite there not even being an official Plus service for PSP. The Instant Game Collection started out incredibly well on the Vita, and since then, has gotten very few retail titles (and a small number of Vita games in general per month due to PSP games SUBSTITUTING for Vita titles rather than being ADDITIVE). It’s NOT this way with the SCEE Vita Plus service, where they regularly have new retail titles added to the IGC, and are NEVER being met with a PSP game rather than a Vita one. This would be like, instead of giving PS3 owner’s Battlefield 3, you give them a PS1 Classic.

I also want to mention how very confused I am that, despite no Vita game entering the IGC, Germinator is leaving it. Never seen that happen before.

  • PrimeroIncognito

I was willing to spend $15 on Duck Tales.

    Thanks for the discount!

  • DecadanceFantasy

Already have access to Jet Set Radio on my Vita, though I never played it since the demo wasn’t to my liking.
I hope we can get New Little King’s Story or maybe Atelier Totori Plus for August’s Plus offerings.
And Rune Factory Oceans (I think that is the title) would be fun for PS3, or Hyperdimension Neptunia 2.

If you can’t tell I like RPG’s, and the more the merrier on PLUS.
Oddworld last week is fun though.

  • Finally something good for the PS Move! Totally worth 5 bucks!

I’m still stucked in Zero Escape (excellent game!).

However, Morgan I want to know if you guys can think in a way you can add more software for the Vita. It’s been lazy weeks for it. Maybe we can get a discount in Resistance: Burning Skies or Resistance: Retribution or even Socom Fireteam Bravo 3 or any of God of War games. What about a discount in Unit 13 or Sly 4.

    Hope you read this.

  • Also, I hope there is a Sorcery 2 with multiplayer and different enemies.

  • Nothing on VITA this week……..

  • @115

Sony matching their digital content pricing with Steam that is that’s never going to happen. Publishers and Sony want us to pay top dollar for digital content even though we can’t sell it, trade it or give it away and it may not be playable next gen unless we keep a ps3 lying around.

They won’t even match retail prices but still want us to go all digital to eliminate/reduce used game sales

Meanwhile my cheaper steam games are mine forever even if I upgrade my pc and they don’t spell content incorrectly when posting it.

  • @139

The reason why the vita isn’t selling is simple it costs to much to own one. A $50 system ok because it truly is worth it but then that expensive memory card kills the deal.

Hopefully plus necessity to game online with a ps4 will get some people to consider the IGC for vita and they’ll break down and buy on because once you play it you usually love it. Otherwise us handheld lovers will just have to get a 3ds or go mobile.

  • Some decent updates, but when are we going to see the original .hack// series on the VITA? it was one of the most underrated JRPG series of the PS2 generations

  • No info on any summer deals? Come on…

  • i guess Sony can’t always knock it out the park, kind of a soft update in comparison to the last two weeks.

Also can someone please clarify if the summer blast sales are ending tomorrow, i.e. will Silent Hill Book of Memories sale be over tomorrow (i’d like to know if today is my last chance to grab more SBlast games)

Lastly, when are we getting Dokuro in the igc like we heard at the start of the month. I suppose i could scour the net trying to find this info but i would think it should be displayed clearly in these posts as it is (in my opinion) more pressing than announcing the pre order dates on a few small titles.

Sony is still “A #1” and plus is the best service known to man or marsupial.

p.s. if you haven’t shelled out the whopping 4$ for Alice Madness Returns yet then do yourself a favor and do so along with FightNight Champion 6$ & Star Wars TFU II 5$ as these are ALL good games and a certified STEAL.
