  • Please, can you tell me if there’s any chance for some discount for Atelier Totori Plus?
Atelier Meruru Plus is going to be relesead in September and I think it could be a good moment for a discount.

  • do not tell me this is the free games for this month because eu gonna get NFS : MW and NAFIA 2 and SPACE OPS !!!!!!!!!!

WHEN WE NOW WHAT THE FREE GAMES FOR US ( both meaning )

  • please make nfs:mw free this month just because im exited for it and i download it from 2 weeks ago (trial ver)

  • Dokuro is finally here yeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!
I have some recommendations for PSP Games in IGC. I’d love to have Sting’s games, like Riviera, Yggdra Union, KitN, Gungnir…
If you’re providing a bigger title, I’d love to have Dissidia 012 on IGC. So that I can play it again against my friends who don’t own a Vita, because since I got a Vita, my PSP was taken by my brother :))

  • I never played many of the psp titles so don’t mind seeing those games in the lineup. I’d really love to see a good jrpg though. There are a lot of them made for psp, and from what I see in the comments, when one is released on vita or ps3 it is received positively. Thanks, Morgan.

  • Don’t get me wrong I’ve really been liking the games we’ve been getting (especially Metal Slug), but June and August in my opinion had more of a boom to em. I hope August tops July. Don’t mistake this for a complaint still loving what you guys are popping out and i’m glad to see another VITA game. Keep it up PS Plus! I always love how you guys listen to the community and i’m sure you will this time.

  • This month honestly didn’t thrill me too much in terms of the IGC contents, but I do not expect every title that is released to tickle my fancy. Saint’s Row and Metal Slug are my favorite offerings from this month, and I’m eager to see what awaits us in the next.

I am once again adding my name to the legion of fans who like PSP games in the IGC. I own a Vita and a PSP, but there are still plenty of PSP titles I have not had the pleasure of playing. The Vita has had a drought in terms of new content barring Indie titles and PSN exclusives. I hope this will be remedied by Gamescom. Before and after we see more Vita titles on the horizon, I’m content receiving PSP games. Niche titles and RPGs are the best.

I do, however, have two requests concerning PSP games. Firstly, I would really appreciate it if Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops would be added to the Vita’s functionality list. Additionally, I would like to see more of the Square-Enix library added to PSN. If you know of the best way to contact Square-Enix and urge them to amend this issue, please let me know.

Thanks again for another month. Looking forward to the next!

  • eh nothing for me, i enjoyed oddworld but it lags out for me every few steps so i had to quit playing it. it doesnt run smooth at all. little big planet karting was also good but i cant seem to get myself to play it more then a round. was waiting to buy the walking dead dlc and borderlands 2 season pass i guess ill do that now. i finally played rochard after it sitting on my ps3 for months without being even started and suprisingly enjoyed it

  • Everyone keeps talking about no PSP! NO PSP!

Two things I would love to see are two new rotating slots, PS classics (PS1 or 2) and PSP game. There are still come PSP owners out there without vita’s but with PS3s that would find that very enticing, and it’s not like the PSP library is exactly small either.

Of course, I’m sure adding that much extra to the IGC is a bit difficult, but I wouldn’t mind giving up two of the current slots for that and having the monthly format be something like

    “Dedicated PS3 game”
    “Dedicated vita game”
    “cross buy game”
“PS1/2 classic (including potential HD remakes?)”
    “PSP game”

Although, it would be super nice if maybe now the PSP isn’t really a force that some kind of PSP emulation be added to PS3 aswell. Content might look a little ugly but hey, these things happen.

(also, someone, please implement quick easy cross save functionality to PS1 classics!)

  • I bought a vita and a 32gb card solely because of playstation plus. Dokuro definitely looks like it’s worth checking out. I’d really love to see
    Unit 13 or limbo
Others that I’d like is gaucamelee, little big planet vita or resistance.

Every month I’ve been impressed with ps3 lineups and I’ve played so many great games that I would have never played otherwise.

  • My Ps Vita & PS3 system has not signed in PSN , since a week ago. Dammit. What should I do? I was going out of my mind.

  • Part1:
    Hey Morgan,

I have a question about PS Plus: I am a sub account member of PSN and am really interested in all the things PS Plus has to offer. I know that you have to be 18+ in order to purchase PS Plus (Also, why isn’t it that once you surpass the age of 18 that you have the option to upgrade to a master account?) and like my friends have said I could just make a new account and purchase PS Plus on there, but I don’t want to lose everything I have on this account (These things include games that I’ve downloaded and the all-important trophies of course. Although sometimes I am tempted to do so just so that I can change my name).
I was just wondering if the Master account holder who controls my account purchases PS Plus, will I (And possibly my brother too, who also has a sub account) be able to benefit from any of the features? Such as exclusive early access to Beta’s, automatic updates, use of the Cloud (For game save data), full game trials and most importantly (For obvious reasons) The Instant Game Collection and PS Plus discounts. Could you please elaborate on what would work and what wouldn’t and if both my brother and I could benefit from it? If something doesn’t work is there any way to get around it?

  • Part2: Also since I don’t own a PS3 (however my brother and I both own a Vita) and we are planning on purchasing a PS4, do you know how/if it’ll work on there? My guess is that (And I’m assuming) I’ll be able to log in to my PS4 with multiple accounts (Depending on which one I want to be logged in as of course, just like on PS3), so I could then let the master account holder (A.K.A. Mom. Lets just call her that) log in first and then let her purchase Playstation Plus from the PS Store or with a code from a PS Plus card or something. She could then download games from the Instant Game Collection and (I’m hoping that) then my brother and I will have access to those games too when we log in with our sub accounts. I hope that my brother and I will then also be able to download games from the IGC for our PS Vita’s as well. I think that most of the stuff I said about PS Plus on PS4 is possible because in this video @1:02 http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_2720214153&feature=iv&src_vid=kYbpyh4EP6g&v=dhfLBTPcG6U, it says that you can nominate one PS4 as your home machine and that other users will have access to my mom’s content on that console, even PS Plus membership.

  •   Part3: Will my brother and I be able to earn trophies on those games? Do we then have access to PS Plus games and discounts on both our PS Vita’s too? Will we have access to any other features of PS Plus? If not, is there a way to get around it? Thanks for reading this longer-than-it-needs-to-be comment. And if anyone else thinks they know the answers to my questions, could please post a reply? Thanks in advance. Sack-kid2000

(Sorry that the parts are in the wrong order. Part2 got deleted earlier by a moderator for some reason. Was there something wrong with the link I posted in it?)

  • People bought the Vita? I figured they would include one for free in PS4 purchases just to clear out inventory ;) Although the price cut in Japan really increased sales! How about a massive price cut in the USA Sony? See the word MASSIVE and understand it please.

I may be the only person on the planet that absolutely hated Max Payne 3. I paid $60 for it and I don’t even think I ever finished it. Cutscenes EVERYWHERE. For a RPG I can understand that but for a FPS style game, let me play the game not watch hours of useless crap I just don’t care about.

As for Plus, I really think you should do a free game for each platform rather than just a psp/vita/ps3 game. I think it takes away from the Plus subscription.

Just my opinions. I paid for Plus again because they do offer some nice full games, auto updates and online storage.

  • All of those who complain about PSP games, i just wanna tell them S..t the F..k up… Those are games, and believe me, many of my fellow Vita players haven’t embraced the PSP before they owned the Vita, so YES, it is great to have PSP games on the IGC…

There have been tons of love for the Vita, and i should be the one that complain as i already own 90% of the Vita AND psp games offered ( dokuro for instance ) … But i don’t take my case for a universal truth…

Just one advice for Sony. If it is hard to push third parties to give away Vita or PSP games, why don’t Sony give away their great collections of PSP and Vita games:

    PSP:
The god of wars, Resistance retribution,The ratchet games,Jak and Daxter ,The pursuit force games,Killzone, patapon, locoroco… Tons of sony games would be more relevant than obscure PSP games
As for the Vita: Super stardust,Modnation racers,Resistance, Unit13…

    Just saying…

PS: Please answer my multiple question about a patch for jak and daxter collection. I did finally bought it, and believe that Sony should respect its custommers by answering the issues.

  • Morgan, i read your explanation about “why throwing psp games on us” and i really tried to understand. But it’s really hard when PLUS EU is doing a really different thing.

Let’s say the true here, they are giving a REAL GOOD support for the Vita owners and you guys DON’T.
You can’t only see the votes, cause the most of people who votes have a PS3 and not a PsVita.

So guys PLEASE, change your policity. Or, i’ll have to do like a lot of friends and guys i know and move to Plus EU.

    Sincerely…

  • CrashOveride1323

I agree no more PSP Games! Support the Vita Sony!! We want more free Vita games!! Not PSP Games!! Hail to the Vita!

  • I am glad I bought a PS3. If I hadn’t, my PS+ subscription would be mostly worthless. Nothing but cheap indie games for the past few months. The discounts are the only reason I don’t completely regret paying for my subscription.

You are not helping your own portable console, here, Sony. The Vita is already struggling because of a lack of games. If I wanted more PSP games, I wouldn’t have sold my PSP and gotten a Vita.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is the only decent game that is an actual Vita title that has hit PS+, outside of the launch titles, and even that is a port of an Xbox game. Disgaea 3 and BlazBlue aren’t bad, but everything else has been a joke, so far.

Can we get ONE reason to renew, before the end of the year? Even one?

  • Hi! I didn’t know there was going to be an ATLUS sale :( is it gonna be gone in the next store update :( I wanna buy Persona 4 Golden but I don’t Think I make it on time :/

By the way UK month preview is already announce, What about us, and the have amazing content. how about Catherine for us :D

  • @Vinxek, You still have a couple hours before the store updates. Go get it!

  • Psvita online multiplayer games could benefit from being part of the IGC, games like Unit 13, Resistance Burning Skies, Little Big Planet, When Vikings Attack, ModNation Racers Road Trip, Sonic&All Stars Racing Transformed, Ratchet and Clank Full Frontal Assault, Ragnarok Odyssey and others.

  • Don’t listen to the naysayers, I love discovering PSP content I missed on the original system, plus the older games look gorgeous on the improved Vita screen. Just don’t make it ALL PSP games and we should be ok. Also, we’re gonna need a bigger boat, when will we finally have a 64GB or 128GB memory card for the Vita?

  • Wow…One of my favorite game’s from this gen, “Max Payne 3” at 8 bucks.

In a way, it sounds a bit sad. Hope to see MP4 sometime.

  • We need 2 or more full ps3 complete games like in europe. I suggest katerine, Ni No Kuni and need for speed. One every week, the fourt week youncan give us a psn game nobody download.

  • Metal Gear Solid Porable ops ans Portable ops plus on vita. Make it happen someone. Plz

  • any word on plus update for august? also i agree with everyone else no more psp games focus on vita. i want more free online play games. i’ll post my list later. also not now but in a few months make ducktales on plus (troll face) also i agree with280 i want karterine.

  • europe got better month releases this august did.and they also got karthine free lucky people you.

  • oh no spoiler’s for august even through europe was leaked… lame….

  • MP3 on sale now?

  • To all of the complaints from those saying no more psp games, your paying 50 dollars a year and getting discounts and free games. You are not the only subscribers to ps+. This is one hell of a service that is only offered on PlayStation, try Xbox or Nintendo and you will get nothing even close to what they offer. I have had the chance to play games I would have never tried and have expanded the types of games I play now. By the sounds of all the negative comments you want every new release for free and gee while there at it give every Vita title to you for free as well. I’m glad that they hold on to titles a little longer for all of those that are finally hearing about ps+ they have a chance to get the great titles that they have offered. I wont buy any other console because of the world that PlayStation has opened up to me and as far as the psp titles go many of us never had the chance to play. All of you at PlayStation Plus keep up the good work this is an awesome service you provide and more over have expanded my interests in many different genres.

  • Just want to say I love PS Plus and understand we can’t have full Vita titles all the time… hope we get Catherine and / or Mirrors Edge in the IGC.

  • I like getting PSP games. As long as they’re good.

  • Mr. Haro I was just wondering if theres any update on Pinball Arcade I still can’t download the PS3 version it keeps giving me the Vita version which is useless to me as I don’t have a Vita any update would be appreciated thanks :)

  • Now downloading Dokuro on Vita and Max Payne MAXimum edition on PS3. Damn sony another chuck of playing I gotta do and I haven’t finished a bunch of games yet. I need to go on a purchase diet.

  • I would like to see these in the US PS+
    1) Red Dead Redemption
    2) Hitman – Absolution
    3) DmC
    4) Max Payne 3
    5) Darksiders 2
    6) Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
    7) ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection
    8) Batman Arkham City
    9) Mass Effect Trilogy
    10) Grand Theft Auto complete
    11) Psychonauts
    12) Limbo
    13) L.A. Noire
    14) Beyond Good and Evil HD
    15) Dark Souls
    16) Metal Gear Solid HD collection

  • That’s a long dl for mp3. Think I will hold off until the disc is 10 bucks again or less. I’ll boycott that ultimate edition since the default multiplayer has aim assist. GTA 5 better not have aim assist, rdr was stupid on hardcore playing against all the same people and having to sift through about 23 different game modes. What a joke that was.

  • I would like to see
Catherine, Madden 13, a hitman game or 4, DMC, motorstorm apacolypse, ICO, on farcry 3 on plus. Don’t really play my psp because the 2000 on off button is retarded.

  • my guess is august will be a crappy month on ps+ like it is every month can’t wait til my ps+ is done.

  • Only own a vita from you guys.. I -love- platformers. Time to snatch dokuro up. :)

  • Man, PSN + US needs to learn some tricks with PSN EU…

    The service is decreasing…

  • @ 232 cheddar2010 – Great comment…but ignorant people dont see it that way so they write nonsense here in the blog.

  • I’ve always wondered, but have you ever thought about putting PlayStation 2 Classic games in the Instant Game Collection? I know you did PlayStation Originals at least a couple of times, but no PS2 games. It seems it’s the only system that never made it into the IGC.
