  • Was hoping for NFS or a sports game finally. Any news if we will get one soon?

  • Sweet. Glad to see we’re getting Hitman Absolution! Seen it on sale many of times, but I never picked it up. Here’s hoping we can get Tomb Raider one month then. =) Awesome update.

  • thanks for Hitman and Machinarium!!!

  • Morgan, can you tell me if Xillia is getting a digital release tomorrow. I asked on “The Drop”, but their were no moderator comments there.

    Thanks.

  • Nice Update! A few games that I’ve had my eye on for sometime but never picked up, since I know they will be added to PS Plus sometime.

  • Really exited about darkstalker have not played any games of the series before but it looks cool. Why are uncharted, and wipeout still hear and are their chances of you guys bringing back games from the past that those of us who missed for insstance you coulld replace uncharted with disgaea 3

  • Damn no Need For Speed. Still a great month.

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwww yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wasn’t Machinarium free on plus before?

  • Hitman and Machinarium for Vita are AWESOME additions. Thanks Plus team!

  • Hitman Absolution is cool and all, and I’m usually not one to complain, but this trend we’re starting to see with non-Cross Buy games with the PS3 version being free one month, then soon after the Vita version is free separately (or vice versa), is just lame.

  • Didn’t I just buy Hitman on PC? …..who cares, Runner 2 makes up for that…also, since the Star Wars Pinball standalone game is free, willthe dlc version get a discount? ….or something?

  • Hitman…really? And no good retail Vita game at all. Just another tired psp fighting game. Are we ever going to get a quality rpg ever?

You could have even given us a discount on Xilia. Another terrible month of plus overall. :(

  • I am kind of disappointed, but who knows? maybe I will like “Hitman”.

  • “Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower (PS Vita, Compatible with PS Vita)”

    What?

  • Wow!!!
This will be an awesome month!!

Really excited about Hitman, Bit Trip Runner and Machinarium for Vita (Finally!!!). Now I really need some time in order to finish my (increasing) backlog.

  • Wow, what a way to end my summer before college! :D

Question, can I use my account with Plus on a second PS3? I plan to buy a second PS3 in college to continue enjoying Plus! :D

    • Yep. Plus is tied to your account, not the console. And your account can be activated on two PS3 consoles.

  • Ok you guys say you are listening to the feedback but you obviously are not. You are giving Vita owners another FIGHTING game. I have seen over and over in these comments on this blog and other sites that we are tired of getting Fighting games.

  • AWESOME!

  • Somehow I feel that the US get a lot more PS Plus updates than Europe…

  • was hoping for KOA and CATHERINE, thanks anyways

  • That is what I want, Machinarium again. Hooray. I am also loving the PSP games I have no desire to play because they don’t have trophies. At least we got Hitman, but a weak update this month.

  • Awesome to have Hitman this month you knock a couple of entries from my extended wishlist,
    My wishlist:
    Of orcs and men (rpg)
    Silent Hill: Downpour (survival horror)
    Heavy rain (narrative adventure)
    L.A. Noire (narrative adventure)
    Driver San Francisco (racer, adventure)

  • Another PSP game and it is a friggin FIGHTING game. When will you learn @Morgan? Thanks for the Rayman discount though.

  • Oh my.. I’ve been jealous of the EU for getting BATTLEFIELD 3 and Hitman a few months back, not anymore!

First, thanks for the early blog post. It’s amazing to be able to check this month’s layout as early as possible. Second, thanks for trying to catch up with the big blockbuster titles the EU are getting. Please keep this up, keep bringing us awesome Full PS3 Games to the IGC. Much appreciated.

My only complain is that the PSN games you’ve been offering for the last few months have been abit lacking in my opinion. Joe Danger 2 and the likes were awesome and new, but now I’m seeing games I never heard of, and are not up the high standards of the PSN games before. I’d like to see greater emphasis on PSN games that are new-ish and highly rated/reviewed such as The Unfinished Swan/Journey/Joe Danger/etc. I’m only finding myself downloading the Full games at the moment because of the lack of good PSN ones.

That’s my only feedback, for now. :)

  • Can you PLEASE make a bigger memory card for the Vita? With all the free stuff your giving us for it…we don’t have enough room anymore lol.

  • That Rayman sale is awesome! I’ll definitely be picking up Origins for my Vita!
Thanks for all of the Vita love btw. And please bring back free PSone classics!

  • 9) For PS3.
Hitman? Mmmm. I was expecting the trilogy. I almost got Absolution last month, glad I waited. I’m not a fan of Rayman, so the discounts aren’t good for me.

  • Why is there no ‘nothing at all’ choice for the favorite July Plus content? Because i don’t remember a single thing associated with plus that i cared about last month.

  • i was hoping for other discounts …i own most of the update but i’m 100% happy with PS Plus…
    why no summer sale ?

  • Nice! Haven’t played a Hitman game in ages! No discounts on Tales of Xillia? It is a digital release right? EU has been able to preorder it while we were left out in the cold. :(

Also……safe to buy Okami HD? Hesitant that it will be free or heavily discounted before too long since it was in EU psplus.

  • Um, no retailer game for the Vita? because all what i have seen is pinball and machinarium and both of these are PSN titles and not retail full games.

  • WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP!!

  • No Spec Ops: The Line or NFS ?
    Nothing for me.

  • thanks for the hitman and the star wars pinball…hated seeing mechinarium again…can we see this replay?

plus thanks for the Rayman sale….definitely getting Rayman Origins for the Vita…..

  • Geez can you STOP IT with the PSP Fighting games already. I fyou are going to put a PSP game on PS+ atleast put something else then a fighting game. AGAIN.

  • 30) We got a Summer Sale already. It wasn’t that good. The only service that will give you a great Summer Sale is Steam.

  • Another crappy month. One worthwhile game.

  • @31 yes you’d think we’d at least get a discount since we don’t get the preorder incentives.

Whoever is running the Plus content must really hate rpgs since it won the most popular genre poll earlier this year, yet we only keep getting generic shooters and fighting games.

  • Awesome! Looking forward to playing Hitman!

  • AWESOME!!! I Was Going To Buy The Star Wars Pinball To Complete My Zen Pinball Collection But Now I Get It For “Free”! THANK YOU!!

  • Surprising to see Star Wars Pinball as well since we just had a pinball game not too long ago. My son will be loving it! Is the Darkstalkers game playable on ps3 or is it a vita/psp title? The description is a little confusing as it says (PSVITA/ playable on PSVITA),

  • @34 Spec Ops was free for us a whiles back. I think it already left the rotation so you missed out.

  • Will be sure to download Hitman!

  • great month for Plus subscribers!
Hitman, Machinarium, Runner, Zen Pinball cross-buy, well done!

  • give us full vita games and not psp games

and we had Machinarium free already

and we already had a few pinball games also

i am glad to see 1 full ps3 disc based game

but this update still sucks compared to eu and asia who get 2 full ps3 dsc based games or more and 2 real ps vita disc/card games

  • @37 lol sony has no interest in competing with steam it seems. its a shame too.

  • This is a decent PS+ update however if a PSP is going to be added (not complaining, just opinion) I’d like to see some RPG’s if possible. The fighting games are okay but have no chance for multiplayer so a campaign oriented game would be a better experience. (personally)

Otherwise I’ll probably blow a ton on Rayman, getting Superfrog and loving the Runner2 and Machinmarium Vita add. I’m emotionally confused though, wanted to buy Runner2 on Vita but now gots it free hmmm.

  • Awesome update! You just knocked off two games (Hitman Absolution & Machinarium Vita) off my IGC wishlist! Thank you!!!!

Here’s the rest of my running list:

God of War (all games in the series; digital versions of GOW3 & Ascension)
Grand Theft Auto (all games in the series)
    Guacamelee
    Hotline Miami
    Max Payne 3
    Metal Gear Rising
Metal Gear Solid HD (PS3), digital version of MGS4
    Red Dead Redemption
    Red Faction Guerrilla & Armageddon
    Stealth Inc
    Uncharted 1 & 2
    Velocity Ultra

Also, could you add Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops to the Vita store? It’s available in all regions except North America, and it’s also the only MGS game I haven’t played!

  • awsome always wanted to play hitman I kinda like stealth games but I am so happy were getting bit trip runner have had my eye on that game for a while and i don’t like pinball but I well give it a try and I am about to buy a psn card for fary cry 3 blood dragon I well make sure and save the extra 5 bucks for rayman origins
