  • Can we please stop putting PSP fighting games on the Vita it’s getting a bit ridiculous. The PSP library is massive I’m sure there’s plenty of other games to make free.

  • @135. I hope that is not true, but I can see why you feel the way you feel after this update :(

  • not only are we getting a PSP game rather than an actual vita game, but to add insult to injury, it’s a YET ANOTHER fighting game? …are you screwing with us on purpose? very disappointing.

  • Since i just only have ps vita what PS Vita Cross Buy means? i will have star wars pinball or have to pay for it?

  • No need for speed :( I want a racing game or atleast a sports game.

  • @Morgan, What happen???? Only one ps3 title and another pinball game??? Dude seriously, you can call the European PS plus team to get some tips… And you just DON’T put all the discounts in one franchise, I don’t even like Rayman at all!…

  • To complete with you all in Europe we have this month:

Need for Speed Most Wanted (PS3)
    Spec Ops The line (PS3)
    Mafia 2( PS3)
When vikings Attacks ( PS3+ Vita version)
LEGO Lord of the Ring( Vita)

So yes it’s so strange you just get 1 game AAA game ^^

  • LMAO this sucks

  • I think the Vita offerings are really bad for this month. It feels like Darkstalkers is the “lead” Vita game, and it isn’t even a Vita game. Machinarium is a small Vita game that almost all of us already got for free a couple months ago on PS3. Star Wars Pinball is OK I guess, but still not even close to comparable to a full Vita retail game like Lego Lord of the Rings.

Please stop with the PSP games. Having an 8+ year old PSP game as the “lead” Vita game is really really bad. Then, just to top it off, it’s another flipping fighting game which the IGC has had WAY too many of. The Vita alone has already had 3 in the last 7 or 8 months. (Soul Calibur, Tekken 6, and Blazblue). Even if I liked fighting games (which I don’t and I’m certainly not the only one since it’s such a niche genre) I would have more than enough to last me years at this point.

    Please no more PSP games.

    Please no more Fighting games.

There are a lot of new, cool, fun hits on the Vita that would be so much better than Darkstalkers. Please stop giving us such old games. Europe never gets PSP games, can we please be like them?

  • Might as well go buy a 1 year Europe and American subscription for all the good games ;)

  • Ok, I am ticked off! This is the first comment / complaint that I felt compelled to make. I have been a PS Plus member since day one but this is the last straw!

I am tried of the recycled crap that you are pushing out on PS Plus, PS Europe gets NFS Most Wanted, my kids and I were really looking forward to having that and you push out Hitman?? Are you Freaking serious??

Obviously you are just pushing out the same AMD Never Settled crap that you got some discount or some other benefit to SONY, not to us.

Give us a friggin choice will you!??! EU shouldn’t always get better games than we do!

It may sound extreme but I cancelled my Day 1 Preorder for the PS4, if you are just going to push out the same games we already have on PC FOR FREE, then I will just play with Ultra settings ON my PC!

Sorry Sony, YOUR DONE in this household!

  • I got to say, I’m kind disappointed with this update, I mean have you seen UK August preview :/ it really makes me sad to compare I juts try to no think about it, I haven’t ever played hitman, I don’t even know which is the first game of the series, this month was a big let down for my, I was so exited :( will pick like to of those games, I don’t want this moth to to waste, and Rayman 2 the great scape good memories, and 1.50? Thad awesome, I hope that there is going to be new discounts for subscribers, to see if I grab something else.

  • DoutorPierre
cross buy means you pay 1 price and get the full game for ps3 and ps vita . so if you get a cross buy game from ps+ you do not have to pay for unless your subscription ends and you do not renew it

  • Could you please label games more clearly so it’s easy to tell which system they’re for? Still, I’m fairly certain Escape Vektor is only for Vita… so looks like I’ll be picking up that and Rayman Origins (Vita) this month… err… this week. WOW.

  • To complete with you all in Europe we have this month:
Need for Speed Most Wanted (PS3)
    Spec Ops The line (PS3)
    Mafia 2( PS3)
When vikings Attacks ( PS3+ Vita version)
LEGO Lord of the Ring( Vita)

  • woot woot! Hitman Absolution finally!

  • Morgan, sorry to comment again but please listen to feedback. no one wants more fighting games for Vita. If you’re going to do PSP games in the Via lineup, AT LEAST choose from the fantastic and huge library of RPGs on the PSP – after all, thats what the PSP was known for. Im really getting sick of the super-weak Vita lineup these past several months

  • This month after steam summer sales sucks. Firts Hitman absolution and runner 2 wich were are on steam, then another game of pinball ._. , Darkstalkers….. well it may be good but some of us already have one of the best fighting games (Blazblue) and finally Machinarium, well this last one is actually good, I mean some of us got it free for the ps3 but I love this kind of games on the vita. Please When you make the decisions for which games should be free for psplus members take in mind not only the new members but also the ones that had the membership since the begining and the stuff that may affect the quality of the games, like the summer sale. I love this system so please make a comeback we already had 2 bad months.

  • Great update!

I will be adding ALL 6 PSN Rayman games!

  • Wait wait wait, hold up… how in the HELL is EU getting 3 AAA games & we’re getting this stink load? Hitman is way cool, but another PSP game pawned off as a Vita offering, that very same is yet ANOTHER fighting game, we’ve already had Pinball not too long ago, & we’re getting Machinarium AGAIN, just on the Vita.

  • I feel obligated to make my voice heard. Again on the RPG front. It was unanimously decided on the genre poll that was taken, as the top 5 genres that your IGC community are seeking when they play games are all of the RPG/RPG Sub-genre type If you are trying to appeal to the base that buys and plays your games, and is currently on the fence about continuing their subscription, heed the feedback that has been given time and time again. Less shooters/fighters, more RPG’s. They are so few and far between it appears to be intentionally being avoided. If that’s the case, let us know. Tell us not to expect to see RPG’s for whatever the reason may be. If you are just struggling to secure the “rights” to offer RPG’s in the IGC, say that. It wouldn’t adversely affect the community. Sure you don’t want to loose subscribers, but it’s better to loose them on an open/honest front, than on a disgruntled/betrayed front. No one is expecting all games to be RPG’s, but at least as much as the genres currently on offer are.

The logic is sound. Looking forward to seeing some RPG’s or some explanation regarding the lack there of.

  • I’m not surprised (nor disappointed) about getting Hitman, but I am pleasantly surprised about getting Star Wars Pinball. :+D

  • GAMESCOM PS4+VITA BUNDLE!!! WOOHOO DO IT!

  • I’ll add my name to to the list that would like to see a racing game, sports games, and Lego Lord of the rings for Vita.

I really like, the PSN titles you give, but I’d like to say that if the possibility is there I’d like to see retail PS3 titles a month.

  • Pretty good month coming, but….is there somewhere we can vote to have less PSP games AND less fighting games for the Vita? I know this month is both but im pretty sure a majority of the free Vita games this year are PSP games, fighting games and sometimes one in the same. There are a lot of Vita downloadable games, even some of the lesser priced ones as free would be better…

  • Every month I see people complaining about the fighting games for Vita, about more PSP games for Vita, the lack of Vita games for Vita, and about the overall FAR BETTER European offers.

But see this update, and also July’s. It seems that Morgan (or any other responsable for that) are not even reading it. And if they are, they just dont care!!

Some may say that we’re complaining about “free games”, but thats not about it. PS+ is receiving a lot of respect and a nice ammount of subscription, because its being popular by this service theyre offering. Also, European updates are far far better then those that we are getting in US.

I paid 1 year subscription, and hope to see this picture change soon. By now, im really disappointed about that difference and that careless theyre doing to US plus service.

  • I’ve been wanting to check out the new Hitman for a while now, awesome.

  • $15.50 for 6 Rayman Games = $2.58 EACH! ( No Vita for me )

  • @ Morgan How about giving some discounts on season passes just a suggestion but one that you should take to heart

  • i almost bought hitman countless times. good thing i waited. im gonna wait for new games too

  • I’m looking forward to buying Superfrog HD and Rayman Origins for my Vita. Hitman looks good and looking forward to playing Machinarium on the Vita which I think will be better because of the touchscreen controls. All in all this month isn’t one of the best Plus updates but not the worst.

I would like more free retail games for both platforms instead of cheap PSN games (pinball) and constant fighter PSP games.

Morgan, why not just have cross-buy games be free for both platforms.

Hopefully we get a good racing game next month like NFS: Most Wanted and more retail games for vita or even discounts on the best vita games like Persona 4.

  • Ugh, this month is awful. Not PS’s fault that the only AAA game offered I already own but everything else seems like garbage. Why is there such a discrepency between EU and US offerings?

  • WHERE IS NFS:MW ????!!!! :((

  • Wow, I can’t believe August is an even worse month for Vita than July. I didn’t think that was possible.

A pinball game? We already got one…how many pinballs do u think we need?
Machinarium? Another small indie game and one PS3 already got? Game has no replay ability so what’s the point?
And then the worst offense of all – trying to pass off Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower as a Vita game?! I mean at least in the past you were upfront when a game was a PSP game but here you’re trying to mask that. Really sleazy.

Then a Mere discount on Rayman Origins Vita when EU got it as IGC?!

I really expected more for Vita IGC this month with Gamescom. Major disappointment.

My own fault for having faith in you guys. I should have known better by now :(

  • i need a bigger ps3 memory card …. definitely

  • Very bad update, as usual.

  • i forgot to say we have NBA 2K13 FREE in Europe too this month xD

  • ps vita memory card i meant XD

  • click the poll at the bottom of the update vote there and leave a comment.
and 175 you are right they do not care but i joined a rental service and i will never buy another ps3 game again
they keep giving us psp games as if we want to play psp games on our vita.
most of the people who want psp games do not have a vita.
buy now people should have owned and beat all the psp games that they wanted but then again mybe sony likes to support the guys who do not buy games

  • Also I agree with the fact that psplus eu is having much better games, I only have one month left on my us membership so I hope to see good games next month otherwise I will give a try to eu service

  • I love this month’s update, PLEASE keep the psp games coming. Just because they’re old doesn’t mean they’re not good games. I never had a psp and I greatly appreciate it.

    THANKS MORGAN!

  • WOW. I want to cry, compared to EU for August we get nothing. They have FOUR AAA games ( granted we had Spec Ops) NBA 2K13, Mafia 2, Need for Speed (NBA was glitched but I still got it on my EU account) but come on NA PS+. TRY bringing us AAA games and not just a bunch of indie games no one has heard while EU PS+ brings AAA games month after month!

I feel like the comment section agrees that this isn’t what we wanted.

  • Morgan: Here are some criticisms, not complaints. I am very happy with my service, but I definitely see room for improvement. I will probably try Hitman Absolution, but honestly I’m getting tired of shooters (Dues Ex, Battlefield 3). Runner 2 is at least something different, but it isn’t something I would play on my PS3, if this was a Vita game…I would spend time on it. It seems like Runner 2 is much more suited for Portables as by nature it is a “get in, get out” type of game. Star Wars Pinball, yes I will play this, but honestly only for a couple of days. That is how long I played the last pinball game for before I got bored with it. Darkstalkers…do I really need to comment on this? Just look at how badly the comments section has already blown up about this. Are there any psp fighters left we haven’t gotten? As for Machinarium, I felt that we should have gotten the ps vita version instead of the ps3 version before. It makes more sense. Machinarium is a “point and click” adventure game, so it makes more sense to have it on the Vita because of the touch screen.

  • It seems to me that you guys aren’t listening to the comments nearly as much as you are claiming to. It also seems as though sometimes there is just a lack of general logic in your releases. Obviously I’m not in your meetings, so I don’t know what goes on. But if a game seems like it would make for a better experience on the Vita, then just release it on the Vita.

  • ?:O Sony, you’re killing me with these free games! Keep it up! :D

  • I absolutely love this update. And it’s not because of Hitman at all. I simply don’t have time for any more big games. My backlog is ridiculously full of big games that I bought myself and still haven’t played.

But Star Wars Pinball, Bit.Trip Runner 2, and Machinarium on Vita. Those are 3 FANTASTIC additions for me.

  • i really been wanting to try Hitman Absolution now i can try it

  • For those who haven’t played hitman you’re in for a treat :) extremely fun platinum!

  • @ Briere NBA 2K13 is not glitch we have it because some country in Europe don’t have Spec Ops but if you can have Spec Ops NBA 2K13 is a gift that all ;)

  • Never played a hitman game so this is great news. Star Wars Pinball will be a great additions as well. When Vikings Attack would be great next month and I might actually have to buy rayman and rayman legends.
