Ms. Germinator Launches Today, Cross-Buy with 20% PS Plus Discount

Jason Benham's Avatar + Posted by Jason Benham on Aug 20, 2013 // Technical Director, Creat Studios

A lot of classic games had an unintended game over screen where a certain level didn’t quite fit into the game logic or memory. These levels have a name: Kill Screen.

Well, with the release of our new action puzzler, Ms. Germinator, we ran into the very same problem: our very first Challenge Level is actually a kill screen, and half the layout is totally glitched. Can you solve the riddle of the kill screen?

Ms Germinator, 01

Eagle-eyed observers will already have noticed that the left side resembles a level from the game that heralded the arrival of a certain famous Italian plumber, while the right side is the garbled mess you may expect on the Ms. Pacman kill screen. But, all is not lost — using expert precision and tactics, you can still navigate and conquer this particular kill screen, and you won’t even have to be called Billy Mitchell to do it!

Seriously though folks, this is pretty big — we’re going to regularly release new Challenge levels and run competitions, too! For this first one, the highest score from the Americas (yes, we can tell!) on the ranking board for the Challenge level at end-of-day EST on Tuesday August 27th will receive a prize of 3 Creat Studios games of your choice! Check out the store and our website, we offer a pretty extensive collection. For extra bragging rights, upload your score to YouTube (if playing on PS3) to prove you’re the best in the world!

Ms Germinator, 03

Other vital statistics you should know: cross-buy and cross-save, gobs of power germs, frozen germs, contagious germs, hundreds of levels, multi-layered attack waves in Arcade Mode, 2-player duels or battle the AI, working your way up to battling the mighty Ms. Germinator herself.

Ms Germinator, 02

Ms. Germinator is launching today for PS3 and PS Vita, $9.99 cross-buy with a 20% Playstation Plus discount bringing it down to $7.99. So, got get ‘em my peeps – there’s no reason not to go get your cleaning gear on and go splat some germs!

As always, please leave feedback for us on Facebook and Twitter.

How about Ms. TerRover next? Pretty please?

adolson, this is an intriguing idea. Everybody knows that a sassy, bow-tied female rover would make navigating over abstract, minimalist landscapes more controllable and rewarding. Suppose you’ll be asking for a Vita version of that one next, huh?

How about a bigger discount for people who JUST BOUGHT Mr. Germinator?

xFuzylilManPeach, glad you got infected by the first Germinator. Walking Dead contains infections too. Hey, be careful out there…

The original Germinator was great and it looks like you (smartly) didn’t mess with the formula, while still providing more to do!

Also…

Obligatory “Please bring Labyrinth Legends to Vita” request!

xClayMeow, thanks – we think Ms. Germinator strikes the right balance of advancing the game without upsetting the apple-cart.

I could give you the equally obligatory “we’re still investigating LL Vita” but I’m going to be totally honest – while we all think it’s a great fit too, that idea remains on the back-burner right now for various business related reasons.

Understandable, Jason, thanks for the response.

You can always just make Labyrinth Legends 2 for Vita instead of porting the original ;)

You_Better_Hide, I know the store updates different pages at different times.

Try here: Games->Hot On PS3->TikGames-Creat Studios (yes, you’ll have to scroll down some on that last page…)
