In particular, most female characters continue to be portrayed in notoriously unrealistic terms both in their appearance and personality, progressing at a slower pace than their male videogame counterparts. Our panel of esteemed developers, writers, and journalists will examine why this continues to be the case, and the challenges facing developers and the videogame market in developing and marketing realistic female characters.

  • Once again I’ll be missing PAX. Every year passes and I strive to go, but can never reach my goal. :(

Well, it looks like you guys at PlayStation have a ton of stuff planned for attendees. So I hope everyone who gets to go has fun! :)

  • See you all at the show!

  • well, wish there was a way non attendees could get stuff but reguardless, I hope good stuff comes out of pax this year

  • OMG!!!

Ratchet and clank into the nexus

  • I just want that passport. Nice collector’s item.

    • Thanks! We’re pretty fond of it over here as well :)

Be sure to come by the PlayStation Booth (#212) as soon as you can, since we only have 500 to give out every day!

  • Can’t wait to see you guys there!

  • How awesome :-) if only I didn’t live so far away :-(

  • Like others have said, I wish I was able to go. Sounds/Looks like it’s going to be a blast!

  • Finally The PS Vita owners can see a game list bigger than the others console brothers \o/

  • Where can I get the passport?

    • We’ll be handing out 500 every morning at the PlayStation Booth (#212) on a first-come-first-served basis. Good luck!

  • How exactly do people going get those PS4 passports?

  • I better check out the playstation booth first thing then and try to get one!=D

  • When are you guys going to announce the PlayStation 4 Bloggers winners? Whoever is chosen only has a few days to get ready for their flight which is a very short notice.

  • Will Killzone and inFamous be playable!?

  • Any parties planned? PAX at night is half the fun!

  • Am I going to have to play every game in the booth to win stuff or is just having the passport and playing stuff going to be enough.

I already tried Knack and Drive Club at Fan Expo and I want to do more at PAX then just wait in line at the PS4 booth all day long every day.

  • Sportsfriends is hella fun, If you’re going I say chack that out!

  • Hey are you guys doing a meet and greet, you did one for MAG a couple years ago, just asking my bros and I had fun, we will have a blast at your booth its always the best every year. PS RULES

  • I’m going to all the Sony Panels…huge fan of you guys, it’s going to be an exciting trip to say the least!

  • I really hope Flower is Cross-Buy like Limbo was. Would love to revisit that game on my Vita!

  • somehow feels like comickon >.< now if only I wasn't in class right now……QQ

  • Too bad, no phantasystaronline 2 info it will be a year since there was NA/EU info.

  • Will the panels be streamed or available for download on PSN later?

I really want to see the discussion of Believable Female Characters in Games, but won’t be at PAX. I hope they touch on the utter lack of actual GLBT characters in console games (aside from Blue Toad Murder Files). I have my fingers crossed that “next-gen” also means progressiveness in socio-political diversity and not just technology.

  • Terraria, Tearaway and Flower for vita

  • Consider me as a RSVP. I don’t do facebook or twitter.

Booth is two spaces bigger this year than last year. I get to play PS4, and the vita games look interesting.

You should totally only give a passport to the folks that bring their own Vita to the Playstation booth.

I’m going to be there are some crazy lines this year.

  • I hope that like E3 & Gamescon that we can stream Pax that would be most awesome Doods!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very Nice for Vita! Can’t wait to see and hear more about Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, and just the other day, I was thinking I would like to see an update on TxK.

  • im really hoping they announce a port for diablo 3 to ps4 really wanna play tht game :)

  • @ Xblader54: I’ve good news for you! They annouced… WAY BACK IN FEBRUARY… that D3 was coming to the PS4. In fact, it was announced before they later said it was coming to PS3/360 as well. That was one of the bigger announcements at the Playstation Meeting 2013, besides the PS4 obviously.

  • Very Impressive showing this year for PAXPrime and I can’t wait to play some PS4 games (especially Infamous Second Son). I will be there and be there early on Friday. :-)

  • This comment is for CAPCOM and the developers of Resident Evil, I love the HD version of Street Fighter II Turbo. Why not use this same idea and update another favorite of mines “Resident Evil 3 Nemesis”?

  • Sony and MS are right NEXT to each other? Whose bright idea was that? The crowding there is going to be INSANE. Opening day, there will be 50,000+ people trying to cram themselves into an area no larger than a supermarket. I hope I survive.

  • Also, I hope I can nab a Passport and a shirt! Will be there all 4 days so I guess my chances are good. But my god, only 2000 when there are 50K to 70K people attending?

  • I wish i could work at PlayStation. .. but i live in Brazil so my chances are almost none.

  • What exactly is the PS4 passport? Is it just an awesome piece of swag, or does it give you access to exclusive PSN content, or what?
