The only reason I’m disappointed that RE Chronicles is free this week… is because I already bought it. XD But I think they’re very fun (Umbrella Chronicles at least, haven’t tried Darkside Chronicles), so I’d recommend giving them a shot, folks!

It’s funny how so many prefer the EU and many EU prefer the US. It would be nice to see every PS+ subscriber able to buy the other at half price. Seeing they already have ps+, it wouldn’t hurt to have the other so a solution is buy one and get the other cheaper. That way ps+ subscribers in the US will buy the EU ps+ at half price and the same for EU with the US and that can lead to more happy gamers
Not a bad update. I hope RE Chronicles plays well. I had it on the Wii with Darkside but I traded it in a while ago. So it’ll be fun to try Umbrella chronicles. Waiting for Rayman on Vita. Looks like fun.

I hate when people say “if you don’t like it (Plus), then you should try Live” or “EU gets better games because they don’t have many subscribers. ” All that is wrong. It is like when you are in school and you get a D in a test, but it doesn’t bother you because others did even worse. It isn’t about trying to make something bad a good thing. Stop comparing the service with other companies. If people want to complain, let they do it. They want a better service. They are complaining about US Plus. They don’t care about Live.
Not really a fan of this months offerings to be honest. Also I don’t like how the games leaving the IGC were not listed this time. I hope this is not a new trend in the new format. It was nice to see the IGC for September a couple days earlier than what we are use to but It would be better to see whats leaving for the whole month.
I just keep hoping that next month and Novembers Plus Line up is terrific it would be some icing on the cake before the PS4 drops.

You guys really need to make this month up to us. I’m not going to be a completely entitled child over this and claim you’re cheating us, or deliberately insulting us, because free is free. I’m sure that there would have been an equal amount of howling if you’d released AC3 here, because people already have the game, so you’re wasting their money in their minds.
That being said..there are a LOT of great gaming experiences in the PS library. I’m not happy at the idea that a Wii Port (regardless of if it’s an HD collection of two games or not) is the featured game. It’s kind of insulting, particularly when compared to AC 3 being given to the EU.
It’s like opening presents on Christmas day, and seeing that your brother got a television, while you got an mp3 player. You still got something, but you’re wondering why your parents love your brother more.
I eagerly look forward to what October holds, because I can genuinely say that I HATE all three free games this month. If someone gave me physical copies, I wouldn’t even open them. I would sell them or trade them in, because none of these games are worth a second of my time.

The free game I think is great even though I bought it the day it came out. Despite the people complaining I understand not every free game is going to be some thing for ever one. The sale though is completely sad. After blowing lots of money last month on games like DOA5 plus, UMVC3 , DW Next, Limbo, Journey, EDF 2017, buetiful katamari , and lots more. I have more money I was looking forward to spending on a good sale… It will be staying in my pocket. At least I have KillZone next week for vita to look forward to.

You can’t be serious. How can you offer us Hitman Absolution, a game with technical issues that has left hundreds of people (at least) without the posibility of coming to an end, because the saved data gets lost randomly (the same for the Contracts Mode). At the same time, you are supporting the bad behavior of the company in charge of HA, because promissed on their official forum (forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=563c38ee688739184931ffe696d27f03&t=131742) to give us a solution but they have done nothing from the released date until now.
I consider this disrespectful, specially coming from Sony…How is this possible?

This PS+ Update is stale and boring, was hoping for a better on seeing how rayman legends is being put on this month and so is Grand theft Auto but you put up a bad mix off discounts and games as the first update. This week has been a let down and one of the slowest ones imo when compared to the EU update this week.
So, let me get this straight. RE chronicles and rayman origins were all on sale a few months ago, and NOW you wanna add them to the IGC? You don’t think that that’s pretty foul? I already have RE chronicles but I still think it was a good addition to the IGC. Also glad that ICO is there but Shadows of the Colossus should have been included like it was for Europe. Wow, I’ve been a Plus member for more than a year. And every month, the same amount of complaining people. I don’t mean to be disrespectful to anyone, but these Plus posts make me laugh due to the comments from the people here. :D
I said this earlier and I’ll say this again, nice update! I plan to add another year to my US subscription. :D
I don’t understand why so many PS3 subscriber are complaining about this month, at least you guys got good stuffs last july. On the other hand people like me who only have a ps vita system been getting garbage since July. Vita users been getting very fighting psp/ vita indie since July. Since July I never played any games they put in IGC. Unlike in EU and Asia they both got full retail ps vita games since July. Hope PS plus NA for vita will be shut down and transfer vita subscriber to either Asia or EU region. This service is garbage for vita subscriber, 3 consecutive month of indie vita and psp July-Sept. I wont count rayman origin as good stuff because they JERK on us by putting it on sale 2 weeks ago in which most vita users purchase it.
It’s difficult to complain about Plus vs XBOX LIVE when it comes to games. Plus is hands down the better of the two if you’re a gamer. I have both.
There are things that XBOX does better…ESPN and their MUSIC Service are two things I prefer over the PS3 fo’sure. Their MUSIC service is hella better than Sony’s…if Sony had better services I would definitely not own an XBOX as I prefer the depth of Sony’s games a bit more. And I hope Sony continues on making great decisions and forcing MS hands. It’s better for ME :)
“We pay for this service” is an extremely weak argument… so weak in fact that I shouldn’t even acknowledge it, but the reason it’s so weak is because:
You subscribed voluntarily. Plus has never been mandatory. Sony clearly advertised what Plus offers and they’ve delivered exactly what they said they would. NO DECEPTION. They delivered. Period. They never promised $60 games every week. They only promised games. You shouldn’t expect $60 games every week anyway… for $50 a year? Are you stupid? Be realistic.
And as stated above, it’s 97 cents per week. Yeah, you pay for it, but you don’t pay much. Excuse me for not feeling sorry for you selfish brats who pay a whopping 97 cents per week for a gaming grab bag and didn’t get exactly what you wanted. It’s like buying a box of cereal that says “Mystery Prize Inside!” and then being angry with the cereal company for not putting exactly what you had envisioned at the bottom of the bag.
If you know what you want, you go out and buy it. Stop making these pathetic demands.
You’re getting your money’s worth anyway, even if you don’t like a single game on the IGC. Plus has other perks, and their combined value clearly exceeds the cost of the annual subscription.
I’ve been a PS+ member since the first week it launched.
I have NEVER been unhappy with the service, nor have I ever felt the quality of the giveaway games or the sales was lacking such that I’d need to go on this blog and act like a spoiled child.
Those of you who keep looking at the EU PS+ with envious eyes need to realize… the US service gets better sales and a better variety of games you might have missed. We don’t get as many high-profile AAA titles (though those do tend to even out after awhile), but what we do get is pretty great, especially compared to what XBL Gold members are getting.
The PS+ sales are often quite incredible and are only beaten by the sales offered on the PC. It’s normal for PSN to have at least one sale a month where great games are marked down to 66-75% off for Plus members. It’s been particularly great for Vita owners over the summer; a lot of great Vita games have been $10 or less.
If you really want AAA titles, there are plenty of ways to get them very cheap (buying secondhand, renting, shopping sales, etc).
Sony’s got a great thing going here. Learn to appreciate what you’ve got.
I wasn’t overly thrilled with this PS+ Update until a few hours ago when I found out that my niece had a PS Move Controller that she no longer wanted. So I grabbed it from her and now I just have to find a PS Eye Camera and I’m in business! Never really wanted a Move controller, but RE Chronicles has spurred me to grab one. Now I want to look back to see what other Move games I’ve missed out on. Looking forward to playing Chronicles HD!

In their eyes, it sounds like they’re saying that Sony put a gun into their heads and force them to sign up for PS+. That’s stupid because it’s completely optional and it’s not required to play online (Not counting the PS4). They’re just jealous because they’re too poor and spent all their money thinking PS+ will get what they want. Life isn’t free, deal with it.
To me, PS+ is already getting my money’s worth. It’s not the free PS+ games, but the sales. I consider the freebies extras to me. I love to get games for super cheap and getting to keep them forever. If it’s not my favorite game, fine. As long as it’s something I never played before, then I will enjoy it still.
If you guys refuse to renew your subscription, fine. But don’t cry that you have to pay extra for their sales. It’s your fault that you didn’t pay to renew it. Now, I feel like PSN sales require PS+ for even deeper discounts.
I’m happy with this. I love lightgun shooters, this will give me an excuse to use my move. The discount on puppeteer is cool, but that’s one I would prefer a physical copy of. Thanks for the update, you can’t please everyone all the time, but this week works for me.

Wow, I’ve been a Plus member for more than a year. And every month, the same amount of complaining people. I don’t mean to be disrespectful to anyone, but these Plus posts make me laugh due to the comments from the people here. :D
I said this earlier and I’ll say this again, nice update! I plan to add another year to my US subscription. :D
I don’t understand why so many PS3 subscriber are complaining about this month, at least you guys got good stuffs last july. On the other hand people like me who only have a ps vita system been getting garbage since July. Vita users been getting very fighting psp/ vita indie since July. Since July I never played any games they put in IGC. Unlike in EU and Asia they both got full retail ps vita games since July. Hope PS plus NA for vita will be shut down and transfer vita subscriber to either Asia or EU region. This service is garbage for vita subscriber, 3 consecutive month of indie vita and psp July-Sept. I wont count rayman origin as good stuff because they JERK on us by putting it on sale 2 weeks ago in which most vita users purchase it.
It’s difficult to complain about Plus vs XBOX LIVE when it comes to games. Plus is hands down the better of the two if you’re a gamer. I have both.
There are things that XBOX does better…ESPN and their MUSIC Service are two things I prefer over the PS3 fo’sure. Their MUSIC service is hella better than Sony’s…if Sony had better services I would definitely not own an XBOX as I prefer the depth of Sony’s games a bit more. And I hope Sony continues on making great decisions and forcing MS hands. It’s better for ME :)
How much longer are you jackasses going to complain about Plus? I can’t believe all this whining is still going on… from mostly the same people.
It’s 97 cents per week. This update (and every week’s update, actually) is easily worth way more than that.
“We pay for this service” is an extremely weak argument… so weak in fact that I shouldn’t even acknowledge it, but the reason it’s so weak is because:
You subscribed voluntarily. Plus has never been mandatory. Sony clearly advertised what Plus offers and they’ve delivered exactly what they said they would. NO DECEPTION. They delivered. Period. They never promised $60 games every week. They only promised games. You shouldn’t expect $60 games every week anyway… for $50 a year? Are you stupid? Be realistic.
And as stated above, it’s 97 cents per week. Yeah, you pay for it, but you don’t pay much. Excuse me for not feeling sorry for you selfish brats who pay a whopping 97 cents per week for a gaming grab bag and didn’t get exactly what you wanted. It’s like buying a box of cereal that says “Mystery Prize Inside!” and then being angry with the cereal company for not putting exactly what you had envisioned at the bottom of the bag.
If you know what you want, you go out and buy it. Stop making these pathetic demands.
You’re getting your money’s worth anyway, even if you don’t like a single game on the IGC. Plus has other perks, and their combined value clearly exceeds the cost of the annual subscription.
I’ve been a PS+ member since the first week it launched.
I have NEVER been unhappy with the service, nor have I ever felt the quality of the giveaway games or the sales was lacking such that I’d need to go on this blog and act like a spoiled child.
Those of you who keep looking at the EU PS+ with envious eyes need to realize… the US service gets better sales and a better variety of games you might have missed. We don’t get as many high-profile AAA titles (though those do tend to even out after awhile), but what we do get is pretty great, especially compared to what XBL Gold members are getting.
The PS+ sales are often quite incredible and are only beaten by the sales offered on the PC. It’s normal for PSN to have at least one sale a month where great games are marked down to 66-75% off for Plus members. It’s been particularly great for Vita owners over the summer; a lot of great Vita games have been $10 or less.
If you really want AAA titles, there are plenty of ways to get them very cheap (buying secondhand, renting, shopping sales, etc).
Sony’s got a great thing going here. Learn to appreciate what you’ve got.
I wasn’t overly thrilled with this PS+ Update until a few hours ago when I found out that my niece had a PS Move Controller that she no longer wanted. So I grabbed it from her and now I just have to find a PS Eye Camera and I’m in business! Never really wanted a Move controller, but RE Chronicles has spurred me to grab one. Now I want to look back to see what other Move games I’ve missed out on. Looking forward to playing Chronicles HD!
@PrimeroIncognito I must agree with everything you said. You put a lot of reason into your post, I feel like everything you say is true. People don’t see that, but I do. Don’t listen to what other people has to say about you.
In their eyes, it sounds like they’re saying that Sony put a gun into their heads and force them to sign up for PS+. That’s stupid because it’s completely optional and it’s not required to play online (Not counting the PS4). They’re just jealous because they’re too poor and spent all their money thinking PS+ will get what they want. Life isn’t free, deal with it.
To me, PS+ is already getting my money’s worth. It’s not the free PS+ games, but the sales. I consider the freebies extras to me. I love to get games for super cheap and getting to keep them forever. If it’s not my favorite game, fine. As long as it’s something I never played before, then I will enjoy it still.
If you guys refuse to renew your subscription, fine. But don’t cry that you have to pay extra for their sales. It’s your fault that you didn’t pay to renew it. Now, I feel like PSN sales require PS+ for even deeper discounts.
It’s probably good that this week’s update is so lame. I picked up way too much these past two weeks and I need time to play all of it!
Dissapointed with this one. Last couple months have been bleh.
I’m happy with this. I love lightgun shooters, this will give me an excuse to use my move. The discount on puppeteer is cool, but that’s one I would prefer a physical copy of. Thanks for the update, you can’t please everyone all the time, but this week works for me.
