  • Completely off topic, but since I can’t find info anywhere, what’s up with the North American Dark Souls 2 beta tickets? Since yesterday, you could only register with a European account. Any word on this?

  • I love Music Unlimited but could you guys please put the complete Def Leppard catalog up as well as the new Lita Ford record? I have them on CD but I don’t feel like putting them through iTunes…MU is much easier :-)

  • Nice that you got the new NIN. I bought it on CD but nice to have it through this service as well. Still not sure what I make of it. Every listen it grows on me though.

  • Fix the screensaver please!! I’m loving music unlimited but messages/on or off notifications turn off the screen saver. As do using the like/dislike feature.

Please. Make it so that a button can turn the screensaver on/off, AND make a timer option for 5 seconds. PLEASE

  • hardly anyone is posting comments here. there is no way my plea is going unnoticed. just a simple fix. change the timer options. add a 5 or 10 second, maybe even 30 seconds. but a very very short time for the screensaver to come back on. my plasma tv may be at risk if i dont mind it.

a song is 3 too 8 minutes long. the screen saver takes minimum 5 minutes to turn on. if i like dislike a song it resets the timer…the screen saver cant get much use if im using all the features can it.

come on guys. screensaver needs a fix. shorten the timer, ALOT. and maybe even add a screensaver command button. cant be that hard, can it?

  • @ 4 & 5 passivefamiliar.

I can see your point for Plasma tvs, however, I don’t think there are enough people with Plasma tvs to compensate for modifying a feature that exists (5 mins and up currently on the system).

Have you gone to the tv vendor and asked if they could possibly provide a fix (update) or an alternate method ?

  • enough people? well, you may have a point. but i cant see how it could be a difficult task for them to just add in. it already has a timer option, adding another time to the options shouldnt be all to difficult. if they’d reply even that’d be good enough for me. im not the entitled type, if someone would say ‘sorry we cant do that at this time’ id be content, displeased but understanding.

the sad thing is…by the ammount of post here. and horrifying lack of replys from representatives on their side. music unlimited is looking to be a dead horse. i’ll probably just not bother with a subscription after this first run with it. updates are great to see for it, but lack of interest on sonys side and the customers side…it wont last.

  • wow sony. whats the deal. sorry. im not abandoning my ps3. but i think im giving up music unlimited. 8 comments. 4 from me…looks like nobody cares about this feature. its a crying shame. it has alot of potential. hope the ps4 version gets more attention.

  • SONY MUSIC UNLIMITED SUCKS! Let me rephrase that…EVERY MUSIC service out there is NO BUENO! The only one that is good is XBOX MUSIC. I got Unlimited for 12 bucks for the year. If I got it for that much as a PS PLUS subscriber I would get it every year. But at a 120 dollas regular price in comparison to 100 for XBOX MUSIC which is much better, it doesn’t compare.

With XBOX MUSIC, I get a FANTASTIC MUSIC INTERFACE, download as many songs as I want, watch MUSIC VIDEOS Ad Free on XBOX 360, and since I’m grandfathered from Zune, I get 10 free songs a month DRM Free.

Let’s just say that if I were to buy these songs at 1.29 a pop which is what they cost on New Releases, I would be paying more than I am for the Subscription. I actually save about 5 dollars a year with my subscription. BELIEVE THAT!!!

The only thing that MUSIC Unlimited has going for it is that it’s on competitive devices, except for WP ;(

  • @9 ojodevidrio:

Ummm, not sure where you’ve been…must have been on the MS Xbox side.

PS + members also were able to get Music Unlimited for a year for $12.00.

Guess you missed that deal as you were on the Xbox.

  • @ passivefamiliar:

I have a feeling Sony is working on things that a greater percentage of people want

Yes, the feature is there and the lowest time currently is 5 mins, but I’ll bet that they have more requests for many other things people find a lot more important than lowering a time limit that not everyone will use.

I don’t want to seem like I’m against you, but I’d much rather see them work on other things as 5 mins before the screen saver is fine to me.

I have a feature on my TV that I can set a screen saver as well, so not sure why you don’t investigate a bit more with the tv vendor you have.

  • @#10
He just said he got it for $12’s on sale before.

I refuse to even spend $12 on this service because my computer is right next to my ps3 and i can turn Spotify on and spend $10 and have the entire catalog (with no ads.. Free if i want ads.. depends usually. And ads only run every song or two so its not that bad for a 30 second wait) of everyone so this service doesn’t really pertain to me but it’s nice to see what it gets every week.

  • @12 Dangisuckatgamin.

You’re luckly that you are in the US and can use Spotify.

In Canada if we try to use Spotify/Pandora, etc. it tells us we’re not authorized to use it unless we reside in the US.
(unless we pay for an IP address in the US and get it illegally).

Our laws here are more restrictive than yours.

Took us 2 years after you just to get Music Unlimited, as well as the Video service.

You have Hulu as well, we aren’t able to use it in Canada. You also have the new Vidzone app that has not come to Canada.

So, yes, other alternatives…..if you are in a country that authorizes these other services.

  • Why can’t we get an SD version to watch on the go(Vita) when we buy the 3D version? Fix it and I will buy way more.
