This arcade classic shoot-‘em-up pits you against waves of aliens called Galaga, but they’re basically space bees (“NOOOOOO! NOT THE BEES!!!!”). PS Vita Summer Select is ending this week with Dragon Fantasy Book II, the sequel to, you guessed it, Dragon Fantasy Book I. Whens ICO coming?
The COD sales aren’t even sales because it’s more expensive than at Gamestop, I thought going digital would equal to lower base prices for games MW3 with 1DLC =$30 IS WAY TOO MUCH.
Anyways not really interested in Galaga tried if when it first came out and I wasn’t too impressed, I really hope next month will be better than this month, I tried the RE: Chronicles with my DS3 and it was horrible, next time please do not make a Move centric game be the biggest PS3 game of the month considering most of us passed on the PS Move.
Either way I have some friends looking forward to ICO so atleast next week we’ll get a decent game even though it should have been packed with SOTC.
Why don’t you guys give out more Sony 1st party games in the IGC?? there are so many awesome PS3 exclusives that didn’t sell well enough and you guys are sitting on them while throwing us crap like RE Wii Ports, Galaga, Star Wars Pinball.

I was excited to see the sale for the Call of Duty franchise at first. After looking, I am disappointed that it’s isn’t the individual DLC. I still want to get Escalation and Annihilation. I did ask for a COD sale, but not like this. Oh well, nothing for this week again. Hopefully, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories comes out next week. Makes sense because GTA V is coming out that day.

Why doesn’t US PS Plus release all the games at once like EU does? Recently on US theres only been one or two games im interested in but I have to wait weeks before its released. I got ICO on EU so that week I dont really get much so hopefully thats last.

@132 No one has a PS4 yet and not everyone is going to get one so ending their PS Plus subscription wont affect anyone until the release of the PS4 and people who decided to own the system.
Also when will the ps store compete with store prices on games, theres games that you can get on amazon that are half the price they are on ps store. Most games are overpriced long after release.

Nothing for me this week. In fact, the only plus game I don’t own this month is Rayman for Vita. But oh, man, that one by itself is more than enough to justify the $4 a month. In fact, it justifies like, what? 5 months?

Decent update for the most and I have a question that I posted in the BlogCast a few days ago but was never answered. This will be the last board post that I post this on since I don’t necessarily want to spam the question. Are the ideas being submitted through the PS.Blog.Share still being reviewed by the SCEA? I ask this because it seems that the last idea that was dealt with by an SCEA representative was from December 2011. It just seems somewhat sad that there are plenty of ideas but it doesn’t seem that anyone is responding to the ideas being placed on the PS.Blog.Share.

psn plus apears to have a decent history offering good arcade titles and although not everyone will want them(they usually only want AAA titles) it is their loss, if they choose to ignore enjoyable titles.

Forgive me if someone has already asked (I did however not see a moderator comment regarding this though), but I was curious if any of us who played Dragon Fantasy Book I and have completion data for each of the characters get to use said data to begin Book II with the experience levels gained? (Example: each character being a level 50, thereby starting Book II at that level?) Either way I will find out tomorrow but it would be nice to receive an answer. Thank you in advance.

PS4 isn’t out yet so PS Plus is still not mandatory and even so it’s still a payed subscription, people should be free to voice their opinion about a product they are paying for good or bad.

@wycliff_12 I guess your right. It’s still annoying, but they’ll just keep doing it. Originally, I kept telling people that PS+ will get better over time. Now we’re in the point that it no longer applies and I’m telling people just to switch over to Microsoft because of how bad this month’s content is. At least they will get more sales for their system. I didn’t like them at first, but I take back what I said about them and now they can stand a chance against Sony. Although PS+ isn’t mandatory yet, it will be soon for the PS4. As long as Sony and Microsoft destroys Nintendo, I’ll be happy for both companies.

The PS+ 30 day trials all require a credit card on the account to activate the trial. IT activates a subscription that you have to cancel or else it charges your card for a 3 month sub.
Dear Lord I wish that Galaga DX ( and PacMan Champ DX) were on Vita also. Perfect platform for those sweet arcade remakes.
Well I care more about the sales then the free game a week even though that is always nice to get. Still pretty sad though for sales. Not much up there. Though at least aliens colonial marines is $8.99. I said I would never pay more then $10 for that game after I heard how bad it was and I am a HUGE Aliens fan. So I guess now is the time to buy.
I’d like to see another big sale like the Japanese game sale you guys had a few weeks ago when you had dead or alive 5 plus , ragnarok, DW Next, UMVC 3 all at a great deal. I bought them all. Do more stuff like that but on a bigger scale and I will burn through cash buyin it up.

Galaga Legions DX is a good retro revival title. It’s not quite as good as Space Invaders Infinity Gene and it’s not the brilliant reinvention that Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is, but it’s still a lot of fun and a great addition to the Instant Game Collection. (I bought it last time it was on sale, but I’ve had no regrets!)
Some of you haters need to take a more long-term perspective. The IGC is not about giving you every game you’ve ever dreamed of. It’s about building up a library of great games on your PS3 / PS Vita to augment your games library. Those of us who have been in this since the program was launched three summers ago have built up libraries of over 100 free games plus dozens more on sale. And really, the bulk of the free games have come in 2012 and 2013, when the program went from “that’s a neat idea” to “that’s an essential part of owning a Playstation console.”
Hang around for awhile and watch your collection grow.
One thing that can be said about CoD is that at least it’d consistent example of everything wrong with the industry.As a side note Galaga DX should be a lotta fun.

Stop comparing Europe to US because the processes are different. Be happy you paid $50 this year for US content just as Sleeping Dogs, Saints Row: The Third, Uncharted 3, XCOM, Battlefield 3, Hitman: Absolution, Resident Evil Chronicles HD, and a slew of other free games and great discounts. Just the games I mentioned alone go PREOWNED at GameStop for AT THE VERY LEAST $15 EACH! And you’re complaining Plus isn’t worth it? LOL I don’t know how Morgan & gang even deal with the countless and POINTLESS venom they receive every Monday…
I see some people are calling for free MGR: Revengeance and Rayman Legend, etc. I won’t do that. But, those COD discounts, really piss me out. It’s even better if we don’t have these horrible things at all this week. I mean, who cares that $5 if the original price is $50, especially for a game released 10 months ago? And if my memory serves, it’s not the first time we get negligible discounts on COD. Come on, man. I don’t know how PS+ works in your business, but this result is really disappointing to us. I will keep subscribing PS+, buy how about the other guys?
