I preordered the PSN versions of both Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag Gold Edition & Watch Dogs just last night! C’mon NO FAIR! I just spent $140 and wake up to see this. is there anybody I can talk to about possibly getting credit?

I just got off the phone with Customer Support, and he says yes I should get credit for my purchases yesterday. I’ll just have to wait till Nov 8th to see if I get the email, and if I don’t to give them a call back. (keeping my fingers crossed) :) Thank you Sony.

What about the people that have already placed pre-orders for content that will be released. I’ve already placed preorders for BF 4 w/ Premium, AC IV Gold Edition & COD w/ Season Pass. I should receive $60 in credits. So what can be done about this? Am I to be penalized for purchasing too early?
@111, there’s no difference between preordering a game a year before it launches vs the day before it launches, so I guess you should’ve waited because you miss out on promos like this. Unless there’s a real incentive to preorder super early, don’t do it.
Yes it’s very unfortunate when you spent $50 before and now you see this…. That’s just how it works… and will ever be. Either be patient and wait for a good deal until the last moment or not! No one is pushing you to preoder a game right away…
Is there an easy way (other than adding up all purchases between those dates) to check how much as been applied to this deal?
I realize I can check transaction history and add up all the amounts BUT I am hoping for a quick way to check my progress towards earning $10 credits. Is there a way on the internet or PS3 to check how much has been spent towards this promotion?
I thought I spent over $100 on this promotion last time BUT only got $10 credit. PSN should have a quick way of showing how close we are to our next $10 credit. Is there? If not, it would be good incentive to buy enough to get to the next level.

The ones who pre ordered games: Contact the companies that are in charge of the games (Lazy Sony will not help you out) to cancel your pre order, then you can add those games again to get the deal.
@115 It is supposed to count but I’d suggest spending 50 cents on a avatar just to be safe.
They did this deal in March, and I bought $50 dollars worth of content, and they didn’t give me my $10 dollars back. I only have a vita, no PS3, and bought a year of PS+, along with a game, spending about $55. When I contacted customer service in April, they said it was too late to ask about it and they wouldn’t help me. I am getting a PS4 when it releases, but I don’t trust this deal at all.
So I can pretty much preorder battlefield 4 for ps3 and get 10 bucks back and use that 10 bucks to upgrade to the ps4 version, getting me both versions at no extra cost? I’m in!!!

Wait, what? Are you guys kidding me? I just got Watch_Dogs pre-order on PSN last week, so I think it means I’ll not get my $10 back… SAD! Sony should give us a warning telling us about this when we buy something at least one week before this kind of promotion. This is like stealing me! I’m very mad at you, guys. VERY mad! Thanks a lot for nothing. Next time I’ll pre-order games at GameStop or BestBuy. I would have $20 now. :(

This is such a steaming pile of excrement. I understand if you made purchases prior to this promotion for products that were released & being excluded, but for placing preorders and being excluded is absolutely ridiculous. Every major retailer has a safe guard to protect it’s consumers from this stuff from happening save for Sony. It’s is absolute stupidity that people that have already paid for their preorders are going to be excluded from this promotion. I will never order from the PSN again. Bestbuy, Amazon & Target all have systems in place that give the consumer any promotion offered during the course of the preorder. Furthermore, not one of the previous retailers require you to pay in full for your preorders.
It’s not ridiculous, they allow preorders early to grab all the early adopters who need no incentive and/or can’t hold onto their money, then they announce a promo like this to entice all the people on the fence who need need a bit more convincing. It’s a good way to make money from both markets and there’s nothing wrong with it, you just need to be more disciplined with your money.
Just this week I spent $60 on CoD: Ghosts, $60 on GTA5, $50 on BO2 Bundle, $18 on Colonial Marines, $7 on Legend of Dragoon, $10ish on Splinter Cell: Blacklist dlc, and I’m not going to get a single penny back. Hate these last minute promotions. -.-

The amount spent is cumulative, and you don’t need $50.00 per checkout to qualify; as long as all purchases add up to 50, 100, 150, etc… we can qualify. Is this right?

Hey back in early September I’d asked several times about this offer and didn’t receive a response. I then pre-ordered GTA 5, AC4 Gold Edition, and Watch Dogs. I spent 200+ dollars on the PSN. I assume I am not qualified for this since I did it a few weeks early, but I am wondering if I can cancel my pre-oredered AC4 and Watch Dogs and order them again so that I can get in on this deal? Otherwise I would feel more than a little irked, being that I didn’t receive a response a couple weeks back when asking directly about this, and for missing out on $20 because of that miscommunication.
