With Sony Rewards, there are a variety of ways to earn points. Members can earn points for every $1 spent when shopping at PlayStation Store, Sony Entertainment Network online store, and Sony Store. The Sony Rewards program also has great offers with a variety of online retailers. Members can earn points for PlayStation and Sony purchases at retailers such as Gamestop.com, Bestbuy.com, Target.com, and Walmart.com when loged in to Sony Rewards, while shopping through Sony Rewards Points Plus.

Members can also earn points on a variety of limited time bonus offers, such as buying a 1-year PlayStation Plus membership on PlayStation Store, watching select movies, and uploading movie ticket stubs on SonyRewards.com.

Not to mention that PlayStation card members can earn even more points for PlayStation and Sony purchases. The card receives 10x points on all PlayStation Store purchases, 3x points on all PlayStation and Sony purchases at Sony Stores, 3x points at quick service restaurants and movie theaters, and 1 point for every dollar spent everywhere else.

  • @ afigueroa I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

  • Not available to Canada! That is the worst thing!!!

  • 1 point = 1 dollar spent, in turn 1 point = 1 penny when trying to spend rewards
psvita is 19,999 points! do the math. move the decimal 2 places left and you have the $199.99 retail price.
this is how i see 1 point = 1 penny
    i need 19,999 points/pennies. basically turning 1 dollar spent into 1 point/penny rewarded
to get to 1000 points you have to spend $1000*. (unless you use multipliers)
19,999 points = $19,999* (again unless you use multipliers: largest multiplier being x10)
so $1,999 spent by using their credit card is about as rewarding it gets to purchase a psvita for $199.99 retail.
(you earn 5000 points after 1st purchase with the playstation credit card, psn cc is also the only way to earn 10x points but 10x points are only on psn purchases)

feels like a lot of hoops to jump through with the credit card to see any benefits, unless i only use that one card for everything i.e. movies, dinners, phone bill, groceries, and filling out the bonus points forms to receive certain multipliers from purchases on sony products. after sept 2014 your APR is 13.9%-24.9%!

  • also linking a psn account does NOT give you 100 points. only new sign-up members receive it. existing members linking their accounts receive 0 points.
on the site any purchases until 11/30 on psn grants 5x points. this should have been noted as a draw-in as well. since only by having multipliers would you really see any benefit.

as of now i’ll leave my rewards as psn purchases only. no CC program desired here.
its still a nice effort on SONY part though. implementing it earlier wouldve been better considering all the people who jumped on the spend $50 get $10 voucher promo. speaking of which… when do we get our $10 vouchers?

  • Sucks that they are not letting us Canadians sign up for the rewards program. What is up with that, I am in the Xbox rewards here in Canada, But Sony does not think Canadians deserve to be rewarded for choosing Sony. Geee Thanks Sony.
