Hello everyone. For GT fans eagerly awaiting Gran Turismo 6, the next four weeks might just be completely unbearable. To help ease the wait, I am very happy to share with you new information on what is shaping up to be a stunning new entry in the legendary series.
Over 120 new cars have been added to GT6 – taking the already comprehensive total car tally to an unprecedented 1200+ vehicles.
In addition, the number of track layouts has swelled to 100 and features returning classic tracks and brand new locations and circuits such as Ascari, Spain and the world famous Silverstone, Goodwood and Mount Panorama tracks to name just a few.
The carefully considered and curated car and track list is supported by a completely overhauled physics engine making gameplay even more dynamic and realistic, a new interface, and enhanced online functionality to allow you to tailor your multiplayer gaming sessions as you wish.
The technical innovation in the game also extends to hugely ground-breaking technology that will see in future updates a new game feature known as ‘GPS Logger’. The GPS Logger will employ the GPS function of your phone or tablet and Gran Turismo’s in-game Course Maker to recreate your everyday school run or work commute as a circuit – the trip to college or work will never be the same!
Here’s what Kazunori Yamauchi, President of Polyphony Digital Inc and creator of the Gran Turismo series said about the forthcoming release.
“With the release of GT6 we are celebrating 15 years of Gran Turismo. It has been a privilege to have seen so many advancements made over this period, with GT6 now continuing to set new standards that blur the line between virtual and reality racing. With GT6 we will make it even more flexible and expandable by continuing to develop and add new content throughout its life.”

GT 6 platinum come to me, I want to have you sitting right beside my GT 5 platinum!
I wonder if they’ve improved the 3rd person camera they’ve used forever that makes it feel like the car is standing still and the track is rotating around the car. It really killed GT5 and the GT6 Academy for me. Oh well, come Nov 22nd Forza 5 will have all my attention so I guess for me it really doesn’t matter too much, although if the camera is improved I’d still probably pick this one up, just not for a long while. That GTS idea really sounds awesome.

I have been asking this same question in all GT6 thread with no one answering. Will GT6 have a Day 1 digital release? I need to know asap. If not, I will have to order a physical copy. Though, I would prefer a digital copy. Thanks.

There has been A LOT of debate about it in the forums of GTPlanet… but everything appears to be great so far.
Please Kaz, add some new sounds to the game and this will probably be the most perfect Gran Turismo to date. You guys know that they need to be a little bit more sexy in some cases, in others they need a complete overhaul, but I’m here to support you, as well as others GT fans.

Wow that GPS Logger sounds amazing. When the track creator was announced I dreamed of being able to recreate a route on I90 in Chicago to share with people. Unfortunately I didn’t think it would be possible because I figured GT would never allow that much freedom so that they could charge for dlc tracks but this GPS logger is the perfect solution and a revolutionary gaming device!
So the full car list that’s be listed doesn’t reflect the “Visions Gran Turismo” concept cars. Are they going to be DLC later or is the car list still incomplete?
God of War: Ascension was 34GB. 45GB is not that far off.
UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception Single Player was 40GB and UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception Game of The Year Digital Edition was 43.5GB.
Wow, I saw Adrian Newey in that video. The greatest F1 aerodynamicist of all time. i can’t wait to plat this game!
Are there going to be “standard” and “premium” cars, still? Some of those standard cars looked like they were taken straight out of the PS2. Ugh! No one want to drive around it those. No one wants to even see those things! “Standard” poor-texture-quality cars are my #1 concern for this game. They don’t belong on the same beautiful tracks as the other “premium” cars.
Are we going to drive on the moon?
GT6 would most likely be a PS4 title. Look at the graphics of this game. I hope they improve a lot of things from GT5.
Would like that include the Red Rock Valley Speedway, which is one of my favorites in GT2.
Another track would love to see is Interlagos (Brazil).
I’m anxious to get this, I played all GTs and I will not miss this.
Another thing, is that could improve the Options track editing, changing level (height of certain points of the track), rather than having to pick a predetermined topography, giving more freedom to the users, could do something like the editor tracing the LBPK that you total freedom to create tracks with more elaborate layout.

Good God digital digital digital… think about the fact that all you own is a code when you buy a digital download. What happens when that software is no longer supported on their servers… just sayin’
I’m digging the GPS feature. Any comment on a list of devices compatible with this? I know you said phone or tablet, but it would be great if dedicated GPS units could somehow be compatible via firmware. I’d love to just take my Garmin nuvi GPS off my windshield after a weekend drive through some twisties in the countryside and recreate it in the game.

You mean when the PS3 is no longer supported? If that happens, meaning Sony is no longer a viable platform and I’ve moved on to something else, it means I go out and re-buy a physical copy of the very few games I still care about by then.
In the meantime, I get to use the same game at the same time on my two PS3s for one price, and I don’t have to worry about ever losing or damaging the media.

The best realistic racing game ever, this I will have to buy. Along with my mom & GTA 5 helped me to get my drivers license.
I know it has been stated before, but I hope we get a PS4 version of this game. I also hope a Gran Turismo for vita is in the works. I think that would be great for Vita sales.
I spent so many hours on GT5, that was a great game, i know GT6 will be even better. Online racing is fun!
I assume that’s a mistake on Eiger Nordwand with the lack of weather change since one version of the track has it in GT5.

I have just one question. Will this game be available as Day one Digital release? If so please someone let me know!! because I’ve been waiting to pre-order it, with the hope that it will come on a digital version.
More cars..tracks…yawn. What about the horrendous AI, single player??? PD has not released anything on the core game, which has severely fallen behind the times. The GAME portion of GT needs a major over haul, most boring racing ever with Ai from 10 years ago.

Please don’t use standard cars this time we want all the cars to be premium and if that is impossible then don’t just add cars from all eras and all categories. Frankly I don’t understand why you are adding NASCAR cars and some racing cars.
I know that you are trying to be the racing game that includes everything but if doing so will let you go of the track and not focusing on the cars and I mean normal cars and sport cars not racing cars and NASCAR cars then just drop it and focus on your strengths.
I really prefer modern cars than old ones and I prefer to see cars from our streets like sedans and SUVs than seeing racing cars. Why don’t you add Audi A8 or S8, BMW 740/750, Mercedes Benz S65 AMG, Range Rover Sport, Audi Q7 and so on, these cars we want to drive and enjoy.
Im going to wait for GT7 to hit the ps4. I cant even beginning to image how good gt will look on nex gen considering how beautiful it is on ps3.
I really wish they had a PS4 version I actually had a lot of fun playing GT5 but I’m done buying PS3 games….
Are we finally going to have meaningful drag racing? Or are we still going to have ECU upgrades for a ’69 Camaro and a laundry list of “standard” vs “premium” cars? Will this be the installment we have all been waiting for or will this be more of the same like GT5 was?
Im so glad this game is coming out for the PS3. Makes sense. The PS3 still needs some supporting games out there. This will make me forget about the 4 for quite a while along with GTA 5 and Call of Duty.
