The Drop: New PlayStation Releases for November 19th, 2013
The Drop

In the wake of the PS4 launch, the world of PlayStation continues to grow with papery platforming, rubber-burning races, online fighters, shadow puzzles, anime antics, and… farming?!

The makers of LittleBigPlanet are bringing their latest, creative concoction onto PS Vita in the form of Tearaway. With a world and cast made entirely out of digital paper, Tearaway is just about the cutest platformer around. Expect astounding visuals and witty puzzles from top to bottom!

And if you’ve yet to purchase a PS4, the latest edition in the Need for Speed series hits PS3 this week with enough breakneck competition to satisfy the most seasoned adrenaline junkie. Need for Speed Rivals features the AllDrive system, which fuses single-player driving into a seamless multiplayer world, where your friends can race in and out of events without the need for lobbies or loading.

But if you’re more in the mood for a colorful, thought-provoking challenge, look no further than Contrast, which also lands on PS3 Tuesday. And for those of you gamers that still fondly remember crossing blades in Soulcalibur II, perhaps you’ll want to note the imminent arrival of Soulcalibur II HD Online — a visually upgraded take on the classic fighter.

  • Drop it! Drop it, now!!!

  • Not much on the PS4 side, eh?

  • Tons of drops, I want none.

  • Finally the amazing spider man the PS Vita * —– *

  • For those curious Soul Calibur 2 HD is a bit of an easy platinum from what i’ve heard. Also is this game $14.99 or $19.99?
    It’s $14.99 if i’m guessing right?

  • Any chance “The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky” (PSP/PS Vita) will EVER go on sale? Or for that matter, other PSP/PS Vita RPGs?

  • Not much for Vita. Kinda hoped to see Minecraft. Oh well. Maybe PS Plus will give me Soul Sacrifice this week.

  • Another drop, another week with no Terraria on my Vita

  • I already got all the trophies on Contrast for PS4, which by the way was a great game but has alot of glitches. How much will SoulCalicer 2 HD and Farming Simulator cost? And does Contrast (PS3 Ver.) come to PS Plus?

  • Oh and start putting the prices on the drop please it can’t be that difficult, infact it should be easy

  • What about Tearaway on the 22nd….

Oh and look at all those Ps4 games I can play on my broken ps4 yay!

  • wonder how long it will take before PS4 starts seeing a lot of games on the PSN store

  • Also disappointed to not see Terraria for Vita on the list, but I’ll just have to wait and see on Tuesday…Still, amazing work on the list as always.

  • I don’t like the new layout of the Drop. The picture are not aligned with the games, maybe it is just my browser…

  • Adventure Time would be awesome on the Vita. Why no vita version? It is being released on that other handheld. It should have been released on the vita. I have ps3 and vita, and would have purchased it for the vita. Please have the developer release a vita version.

  • WOW The Amaizing Spiderman for PSVITA ?? Didnt see that coming !! is it exactly as the homeconsole versions? and how much will cost ??

  • When is Stick it to the Man being released on the vita? Why is the vita always behind with games being released on it? It is always after PS3 version.

  • The NBA Live 14 demo says it’s Available 11/15 but clearly it isn’t. What’s the right date? 19th?

  • @6 / @ SynGamer

It’s without question worth full price.

  • cant stand psn multy or co-op games only. anyways thats ah big list il have to check out trailers for them.

  • Nice, big drop today! I’ve got Spider-Man for PS Vita on pre-Order and am looking forward to playing it.

  • I really want Explore The Dungeon Because I Don’t Know! to be good. Please let it be good. Oh please Cthulhu let it be good.

  • nothing new coming to ps4 this tuesday?

  • Finally an awesome week for me :D

Aquapazza and Soul Calibur II HD Online \o/

  • And so starts a year of weekly complaints about the lack of ps4 games , I’ll get out front of it and say to those people whay did you expect from a new console , new AAA games every week ?
there will not be huge game releases every week for at least a year , you should know that up front

lots of game this week , might look at spiderman for vita but not much for me , that said I’m sure there’s at least one game here for most people
keep up the good work Sony and try getting us some more ps2 classics on ps3 and ps1 classics for vita in 2014

  • We could really use some PS4 demos..and please fix the PlayStation app

  • I can’t wait to play Farming Simulator. So hype!!!

  • Can’t wait for Contrast on PS3 !

  • Soulcalibur II and AquaPazza for me! Such a great week for fighters!

  • No new content at all on PS4 this week?

  • What, you’re not into NBA Live 14? There’s even a demo available.

I’m with FJ1100_rider on this one: There aren’t gonna be too many more PS4 games coming out this year. Love it or hate it, but realize it’s a fact. Much like the Drop never having prices. Ain’t gonna happen.

OT: I’ll wait for demos of these games. We need more demos in general.

  • Stick it to the man vita release???

  • Bloodknight got my attention I love Hack in Slash games.

  • Those of you expecting anything PS4 related – are you out of your mind?! We JUST had a major release 2 days ago, and that was the PS4 itself and the launch games with it! That should be enough to hold you guys over for another week. Doesn’t make sense to release MORE PS4 content right now.

Anyways, I guess the only thing for me this week is “this 2D, anime fighter from Atlus” that is AquaPazza.

  • I’m interested in Stick it to the Man, but still confused about the lack of mention of cross-buy. Other territories got cross-buy and a 20% discount for pre-ordering. Neither were advertised on the US store, so I held off.

  • Also I would by SC2 as well, but that would equal $50 spent (AquaPazza is $30 according to GameStop so I assume that’s the PSN price too) which would put me in a bit of a financial strain for Thanksgiving. So unless Gamestop will give me some decent trade-in credit for Soul Sacrifice (as it’s going free later this month to Plus members), I’ll hold off on SC2.

….even though it’s my personal favorite entry in the series. But I’ll miss my (and probably everyone else’s) favorite character…

  • Hope you could answer a few questions
How many GBs is Young Justice gonna be and how much will it be on US PSN?

  • @ RoyalXIII

I have 10 games to play and the system is impossible to find. Releasing anything on PS4 this week would be a waste.

  • Nothing for my new PS4 except NBA. And so the long launch drought begins! Please don’t be like the Wii U.

  • meh not feeling this week, thanks anyway :D I can’t wait for new psn games for ps4 ;)

  • WoW , 1 PS4 game for this week O_o.

  • Forgot about Blood Knights. I’ll definitely be checking that out.

  • “Nothing for PS4?”

Really? Were people expecting new games this week after the system just launched like 2 days ago? If it was ready for Tuesday, it would have been released last Friday like everything else.

That said, not much in the drop for me this week. Probably won’t be much of a sale either with Black Friday coming up. Hopefully a good one then to encourage PSN sales vice sales at Gamestop/BestBuy, etc.

  • man my vita is dyin here.
    It needs more games!!!!!

  • Busy week. Is it safe to assume that SCII HD online won’t have the Weapon Master mode or any other major single pleaser features?

  • Oh wait, a leaked achievement list on the 360 points out achievements for getting legendary weapons in Weapon Master model Hooray! I’m getting this game then!

  • Tearaway?

  • @ 5
Soul Calibur II HD Online will cost $19.99.

  • Well, sure am glad I spent the $450 on a PS4… Just guess i’ll have to play Need for Speed ALL WEEK LONG!

    Thanks Sony.. Beyond!

  • NBA Live 14 demo IS NOT on the PS Store. You got me excited for nothing -_-
