Black Friday Deals for PS3, PS Vita, and PS Plus

November has been a huge month for PlayStation, and there’s never been a better time to join PlayStation Nation. We’ve got some incredible Black Friday deals for PS3, PS Vita, PS Plus and more, to keep November going strong.

PS3

We’re putting two of the most popular PS3 titles of 2013 together to bring you the PS3 Black Friday Bundle for only $199 (MSRP). This bundle includes a 250GB PS3, Batman Arkham Origins, and The Last of Us — one of the highest-rated games of the year. That’s $165 worth of savings.

So Black Friday is the perfect time to pick up a PS3, and we’re continuing to bring you great content on the platform. Gran Turismo 6, the latest entry in one of the most popular franchises in PlayStation history, will launch exclusively on PS3 on December 6th. Not to mention blockbusters like Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Battlefield 4…

Black Friday Deals

PS Vita

It’s also a great time to pick up a PS Vita, so you can play Tearaway — which launched today to stellar reviews — and recent hits like Killzone Mercenary, Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition, and Spelunky.

PS Vita is the ultimate companion device for PS4 through key features like Remote Play, letting gamers play most PS4 titles on their PS Vita via Wi-Fi on their home network, freeing up the television for other uses. Check out the various deals below:

PS Plus

There will also be a special Black Friday deal for PlayStation Plus at select retailers nationwide. Pick up 1 year of PS Plus for only $29.99* — that’s 40% off the regular price of $49.99. With PS Plus, you’ll get new games every month with Instant Game Collection. You’ll also get access to online multiplayer on the PS4 system. Best of all, one membership will cover you across your PS4, PS3, and PS Vita… for just $29.99* on Black Friday only.

*Limit 2 per person, per purchase. Offer valid 11/29/13 only, while supplies last.

  • Anyone else having issue activating their card? Was able to snag a digital code through Amazon for $30 (got another $5 knocked off cause I bought the Last of Us Season Pass), but when I go to process the code on the site or on PSN, it keeps timing out.

  • Called several retailers in Canada, none of them are doing it, and Gamestop confirmed that the retail deal is US only. The deal also isn’t up on PSN in Canada, so I’m going to guess it isn’t happening.

So much for “There will be a Plus offer in Canada for Black Friday.”.

  • Did anyone else notice that the section of the original post claiming “Up to 65% Off Digital Download Titles,” with pictures of The Last of Us, Saints Row IV, Diablo III, and God of War: Ascension is now missing?

Does this mean they’ve scrapped the PSN sale? I’m not getting the discounts showing up.

  • The last of Us for 59.99$??? Where are black friday deals on PSN???

  • just want to take the time to say, thanks for including Canada!

    /s

  • @269

Gamestop does the same thing to me. It says my billing address doesn’t match my financial institution which is dumb as I am able to use my credit card everywhere else. I have a $25 gift card and want to buy another Plus card but it won’t let me!

ummmm.. Crystal? Where is this so called magical offer here in Canada?

  • Got a year of Plus through Best Buy should arrive next week.

  • Sony customer support just confirmed that there will be no deal on SEN/PSN. So that means Canada doesn’t get the deal. I even have some US friends that added funds to their wallets for this…

    Thanks Sony, for outright lying.

  • So glad I traded in my physical copy of Diablo 3 last night so that I could buy the digital version on sale today. That worked out well.

  • Where did they confirm that there Would be no psn deals? Would think they might wait for cyber Monday. Btw picked up two more years of psplus. Been afraid of a price hike due to ps4

  • Was wondering when those 65% discounts on Last of Us, Saints Row IV, Diablo III and God of War: Ascension were going into effect. Or is it possible that I missed them even though it says Friday.

Also for all those from Canada claiming there was no response to your Plus discount Crystal said on the first page that there would be deals as well. No details on where but it was at least a response and confirmation.

Overall great sales and would be getting more but gotta watch the funds so will be sticking with D3 if I see the price drop ;-)

  • You all can order $29.99 deal (digital delivery) from GameStop…. You don’t have to go outside and fight the shoppers. I just ordered from GameStop.

You could also get the $29.99 deal from amazon but they charge tax. GameStop doesn’t charge tax.

  • I’m assuming they’re still gonna have PSN deals and that the store just hasn’t updated yet. Hopefully, we don’t have to wait until tonight as it’s Black FriDAY, not Black FriNIGHT lol.

  • @TimboJames – well it’s already Black Friday and we don’t have any sort of information. Great that she responded, that doesn’t mean she was telling the truth..

From what I can tell, Sony’s customer service has been telling people that the deal is retail only. There’s a really misleading page on the Playstation site here “http://us.playstation.com/psn/playstation_plus_new/” that links directly to the SEN store, that been getting them a lot of calls.

Going to wait to see if the store updates, but I’m really not impressed.

  • I can’t believe there aren’t any great black friday deals on psn. I have money to spend ($20 credit in my wallet as well) but there isn’t anything worth it today on the playstation store. I guess only $29.99 subscription deal is the only gaming money I will be spending for black friday. I am happy to see Grid 2 and Borderlands 2 coming in December.

  • Sony usually does things on Sony time. The lack of deals at this moment shouldn’t cause anyone to panic that there won’t be any.

But, being Canadian, I’ll be yelling with the rest of you if there’s no news by this evening. :)

  • Doesn’t surprise me that PSN can’t even handle black friday lol, guess being a paid service hasn’t changed anything yet.

  • is the PS Store down for anyone else at the moment?

  • Quite true neonridr, no real info but it was more than people were giving credit for. @sirbflo114 and anyone else looking, the PSN sales are at the bottom of the Black Friday Deals page linked at the top of this page. Can’t wait for Borderlands as well even though I have the disc. My Blu-Ray drive is messed up so its useless to me. Lol

  • It was for a moment earlier for me and was hoping they were updating it with Black Friday stuff but no luck :-(

  • @neonridr Yeah, PSN’s been down all morning for me. Guess the europe launch and the Black Friday confusion has really taken a toll on psn.

  • I ordered yesterday a $50 PSN card thinking the PSN Plus deal would be via PSN, sooooo, now i have $ 50 and no games on promo! Great Deal, but no.

  • Another disappointed Canadian here, but am not surprised:

    1) It’s American Thanksgiving (Canadian retailers are only just starting to ramp up for Black Friday sales so they don’t lose out to their cross-border rivals).
    2) this site is https://blog.playstation.com (not https://blog.NA.playstation.com to complement the https://blog.EU.playstation.com in Europe)

We just have to accept it for what it is, I guess.

The above page convinced me top up $30 to my PSN account. Money that is now sitting there nonrefundable!! This is ridiculous. What is the deal here Sony???

  • You guys lied! I can find any ps+ card at 30$ anywhere in Canada…

  • Sony, you guys have better not lied to us. I don’t want to have put money in my psn wallet and not be able to take advantage of the 29.99 ps+ deal.

  • It’s funny how Microsoft had their Black Friday deals for Xbox up at midnight sharp last night. It’s 11:34 am EST where I am and still nothing. You see the advertisement on the site claiming they’re having amazing deals and you click the “Shop Now” button and it takes you to the home page of the store advertising no sales whatsoever. Talk about not being on the ball.

  • Another disappointed Canadian here, but am not surprised:

    1) It’s American Thanksgiving (Canadian retailers are only just starting to ramp up for Black Friday sales so they don’t lose out to their cross-border rivals).
    2) this site is a US site not North American (blog . US. playstation) (not blog . NA . playstation)
    3) “select retailers nationwide” (not Canada and US)

We just have to accept it for what it is, I guess.

  • Also, I don’t we should hold our breath on a response today. Everyone in the US might be out shopping :)

Not saying Crystal won’t come through for us, though

  • I would be genuinely surprised to hear anything..

  • @Inhert Nation, man, nation. We can hope that they extend the offer (and I really really do), but, we still have a Queen, separate currency, a parliamentary democracy, health coverage, our Thanksgiving is in October and the celebration of our nation is on July 1 not July 4.

I’m guessing the Canadian PSN deal mentioned in earlier comments was a mistake.

  • @318 actually, when you try to go on the Canada website, you get redirected to the US website…

  • @MBurdock – Crystal, who is the Brand Marketing Manager would not make a mistake in saying there was a deal for Canada. I am sure she is well aware of the fact that we celebrate Thanksgiving on a different occasion.

The Queen is merely a figurehead. It’s not like she has any real power over here anyways.

  • I’m higly disappointed by the lack of Black Friday deals on the PS Store, was really hoping to see great rebates on digital games like their ad on the main page says but nope, nothing at all. It’s like a big middle finger to all customers who were waiting for deals on the PS Store, specially us Canadians, who don’t even have access to the big deal on PS Plus cards.

  • are there any PSN sales today? for the ps3 games and vita? let me know.

  • way to go, Sony… this big day of sales and we cant even access the Playstation Store… what a joke… No wonder im terribly hesitant about buying a PS4…

  • @317, I like your point of view, but even if it’s an American thanksgiving, on the EU store they also have some deal.
Since canada and the states share the same store (NA Store), then why would we be left out of all the deal ?
I think it’s a little bit discriminating to let US people have the 1 years of ps plus for 29,99$ and having canadian gamer pay the full price since it’s the same services for both side of the border.

If they don’t want to have people mad about this, they should just split the store in 2, and let us north of the border have our own deal

  • This is a bummer

  • Bait and switch on the $29.99 PS Plus 1-year membership. It shows $29.99 but clicking on Buy Now shows $49.99.

Avoid Sony and Gamestop (still shows pending after 9 hours) and just get it from Amazon as you’ll get the code pretty much right away.

  • Late updates, store not accessible, vague communication: SONY screwed this up!

  • As long as I see some major deals today, I’ll be happy. The sales on Xbox are quite weak, but I’m hoping Sony blows them out of the water.

Come on, Sony. If that sale doesn’t happen today then you have to make right for advertising it. Especially for those that put money in their psn/sen wallet.

  • Now if I could only log in to buy this stuff..

  • Nice PSN deals….. Not where are they? I see nothing but a Playstation store thats been down for several hours. Not cool Sony. Also just bought the Playstation plus 1 year off of Amazon. Was not happy that I had to pay taxes on that never had to before why now??? Instead of saving $20 I only saved on $18 which I guess is still a good deal.

  • not worth it. i can buy HARD COPIES with these SAME PRICES, thanks but no thanks

  • That Vita bundle from Amazon is RIDICULOUS!!! If I didn’t already have one…I’d be picking it up. 4 games and the discount? That’s crazy!!!

  • Wow, BioShock Infinity for $14 ?!! I won’t be seeing my PS3 until May, but this is an insta-buy for me! Thanks!

  • Not sure if I should ask here but are we going to be getting Escape Plan on the PS4 store today?
