PS Plus: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Free on Vita for Members

This week, PlayStation Plus members can take to an ever-changing race track when Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed enters the PS Vita Instant Game Collection. The ‘transformed’ part references the fact that your go kart isn’t always cemented to the pavement – if your route should all of a sudden require your little kart to, say, fly, it will. Yep, your vehicle is constantly morphing back and forth between kart, plane and boat, so you’ll have to master each type if you want to win.

You can download Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on PS Vita and take advantage of all these PS Plus discounts after the PlayStation Store updates tomorrow, 12/24.

  • It’s a link in an e-mail that’s already been sent. Would it make you feel better if they sent you a new, corrected e-mail?

You need to call a vet. I think there’s something wrong with that horse you’re beating.

    FFS.

  • @rjejr: It’s hard to pay attention when your posts hadn’t shown up yet. Anyway, see my last 2 posts in this thread. You got way more than you deserved already. We all got those e-mails. They contained errors. The ones for next month and the month after will contain errors. Next week’s PS Store Update post will contain errors. So what?

  • Why does the official sony playstation web site and store show Sonic Racing Transformed as Free to Plus Members for the Playstation 3? Which is it? Would love it for the Ps3 as we did not get a free game for the holidays.

  • @ CrappaPoopoo

Everything you said about my supposed obsessiveness is immediately thrown out the window when you reply with the same amount of dedication. Yet, you never debate the points on topic (’cause you can’t) and instead do what all losers do, which is repeatedly attack the character of your opponent, most of which is ad hominem nonsense.

How does a grown-up like you not yet understand that only the truth matters? That if you’re going to speak, have something worthwhile to say, not just hollow chest-pounding machismo crap? What purpose do all of your ad hominem attacks serve?

Not to mention, it could all be turned around on you. I could call you the white knight of the consumer base, a brave crusader out to protect his fellow gamers from… umm… a few supposedly overpriced video games. Wow. What an important battle you’re fighting there, buddy. Yes, I’ve been in the wrong all along. Carry on, captain.

As for the meeting, I told you already, send me a PM if you’re interested, coward. Stop making me repeat myself.

  • And I’m so glad that you responded the way you did. You further revealed your true cowardly nature by coming clean with how you feel about indie games. You proved to us all what a pathetic liar you are. To start off bashing indie games and their makers, but then pull back and say, “oh, no… uhh… it’s just the marketing I don’t like, huh huh…”, and then return to your inane attacks on indies once again… it only ripped an even bigger hole in your already-shot credibility. Congratulations, wanna-be smart guy. You’re only helping me to destroy you even quicker.

Respond again, please. And when you do, please, make sure you mention how obsessed I am with returning to this page to see if any new posts have been made… while somehow not looking guilty of the same thing yourself. I don’t know how you think you’re gonna pull that one off. But of course, with an ego as large as yours, you wouldn’t see the bitter truth about something if it was right under your nose. As for me, I come back here because it’s fun. Like I told your fellow trolls in the past, I love destroying psuedo-intellectuals such as you, and them. You’re all pathetic, and I love putting you back in your place, beneath the masses where you belong.

  • @ ThumbsOfSteel74: I honestly don’t know that much about economics. I certainly never took any courses on it. But I’ve read enough interviews with devs and publishers about this stuff, and considering how hard it is to find sales numbers for games, especially digital sales numbers… and the realities of the business side of things, which I understand a bit more as I work for a bank. So I just apply my common sense to try and understand the perceived disparity, rather than getting all huffy and demanding subjectively “better” content on the US IGC. Quite honestly, I’m usually more impressed with the PSN titles and indies we get than with the AAA titles. AAA games that I want to play, I buy. If they give us something I already own, it replaces my disc version. The digital titles are where it’s at for me, as they get much less marketing and they’re not on store shelves. So it’s a lot easier to find a hidden gem in the PSN titles (whether indie or not) than in the AAA stuff.
But yeah, PS4 won’t be getting any AAA games for a while, besides DriveClub. The indies they showed at E3 are probably what we’ll be getting throughout the year on +. Ray’s the Dead is one I’m really looking forward to. :D

  • @Toddimus144: Link, please. Just checked the Plus section of us(dot)playstation(dot)com, and it correctly shows the game is free to Vita only. Same with the web store.

You know what probably happened? Somebody hit the wrong button a week or so ago. The incorrect info spread like a virus to the people in charge of sending out e-mails, the people in charge of the blog, etc. Not saying you’re one of them, but so many on here cannot forgive a simple error.

  • This sonic racing game is great! I’m loving it so far.

  • I’ve had a physical copy of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on Vita for a while now, but the Bonus Edition code is expired. Since the game is part of PS+, I see the Bonus Edition comes with it. Does DLC like that expire when a PS+ membership expires or will it continue to work with my physical copy of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed after my PS+ membership expires?
