    @santanin:

I hear you. The web store has no such message popping up (though I guess it might if I went far enough into the process). The PS3 does exactly what you have said. I don’t own a Vita, so I don’t know what the Vita store does. Also, I can’t really test this much further since I don’t have a Vita. So I have no need of Soul Sacrifice. :P

But if the message is correct, you’re right: You’ll lose the game if your Plus sub ends. Then you’ll have to call support and have them fix it IF you were charged and can’t play the game. Better to call support now, explain the situation as you have done here, and ask them how to proceed so you get what you want: the game at the advertised price of $9.

    Good luck. :)

  • @Thrill_Kill: XD

Well, I didn’t mean you should call support to have them remove ALL unwanted items from your download list. I doubt they would, though I suppose there’s no harm in asking.

I was talking only about the situation with Plus: Once you download an item for free via the IGC, you are unable to purchase the same item at all. Endlessly frustrating for many when something they got free goes on sale for a few dollars, and they literally can’t give their money to Sony. The only option there is to call support and ask them to remove the item(s) you got free so you can buy them. They may or may not be willing to help.

But if your idea was taken up, nobody would have to call support because we could all manage our own download lists as we saw fit.

Then the only problem would be stopping angry little brothers from deleting your entire list out of spite. :P

  • @hyper-shadow-0: Just looked and that game is available on Amazon for $16 with free shipping over $35. So spending $40 could get you the game you want, plus another $24 worth of goodies. But then maybe you prefer digital. Unfortunately, you may have to wait quite a long time for the PSN price to match retail. :/

  • Yeah you probably can get you IGC games erased as long as you know which dates and transaction details. I have a few games I decided to download a year and a half ago when I got my PS3 back and then wished I didn’t. So now I’ve been using those 7 day trials in order to work around dates where those games are on sale even without the extra plus discount so I can own them. I technically only have about 3-5 more games to “buy” before I don’t care about the rest of the freebies since I’ll never play them.

  • sony make this possible, please !!!!!

3.) PLEASE, (last but not least), make it POSSIBLE for users to DELETE certain things on our DOWNLOAD LIST! I have about 800 or more things on that list which takes me FOREVER to scroll though to redownload to my different PS3 consoles, and somehow they keep getting out of order. I need to DELETE at least 3/4 of that crap as most of it is useless Demos of old games, Avatars I never use, a bunch of QORE Episodes I never watch, Add-ons I couldn’t care less about, etc etc… As a PS3/PSN user I need to have an OPTION in the PS Store to Delete what I see fit to delete! PLEASE, we NEED this!

I will keep asking this from Sony until I get some sort of feedback as these 3 things are super important to me. Thank you for reading.

  • You should put direct links in the list of games on sale. It would be so much easier to get information about these games, and might even lead to some increased sales.

  • @ThumbsOfSteel74 Yeah, that is ANOTHER thing I did hate about being a plus member, is the fact that we get the IGC, then after we grab it, it goes on sale for a low price of a few bucks and we cannot delete the IGC, and purchase the cheap copy for ourselves. However, since we need to have PS+ now forever to even play online on PS4, I guess “owning the game” is pointless since it will never expire now. I personally bought 8 years worth of PS+ cards at GameStop @$30 each when they went on sale during the Black Friday event, so I don’t think I will ever lose the IGC games downloaded. Since I have been a PS+ member from day one, I have a LOT of IGC games. It’s too bad a LOT of them are garbage Mini’s or PSOne Classics I already own on Retail Discs. Again the “Install GAME Disc” option would be my preferred way of installing those games as downloading them every time I want to play them, deleting them off the HDD when done, and re-downloading them again later on, just to install them again, gets old real fast.

  • @SuperTiso What are you talking about? 7 Day Free Trials? I thought the free trials were for ONE HOUR? I’m completely LOST on your entire comment.

@kmetek, thank you for agreeing with me on the post about being able to DELETE our own content on the My Downloads section. I think if more and more people ask sony to do this, they might allow us to do this in the future. But, then again, when PS3 first came out I begged Sony to fix the bug when I play Silent Hill on Disc on the PS3 about every single week I begged here for it to be fixed. I never got a reply, and the only thing they did was release it for us to purchase on the store, which is not a solution to the problem. But hey, you never know. Perhaps they do read our comments and sometimes they will give us what we beg for. They just never seem to do so when I ask for it no matter how many times I ask. :P I am going to ask Sony customer support to delete my stuff now and see if they ever reply.

  • Can anyone help me?

I became a PS+ Member recently and got Soul Sacrifice for free when it was on the PS+ free game list, BUT I don’t have the money to keep being a member forever so I won’t have access to it eventually. FROM WHAT I KNOW YOU CAN’T HAVE THE FREE GAMES ONCE YUR NOT A MEMBER NO MORE, BUT YOU CAN KEEP THE GAMES YOU BOUGHT AT THE DISCOUNTED PRICE!
So then I saw Soul Sacrifice for 9 bucks for PS+ member and I was like oh hey it’s cheaper now I can afford it, but when I try to buy it, I can’t since the system says I already have it for free. So my only option was to just re-download it. Is there anyway I can buy the game for 9 bucks so I can keep it forever or am I doomed to pay the full price.
    Please someone help me.

  • @YuichiOtonashi: Unfortunately, your only option is to contact Sony support (starting with the Knowledge Center link at the bottom of the page) and request that they remove the free game from your download list so you can buy it.

    Good luck! :)

  • Please release Dragon Quest Monsters 1+2 as an import for PSone Classics.

  • Is it worth the Muramasa DLC? I think it will be 4 DLC (Genroku Legends) so it will be 20 dolars? Wow! I don’t know, i think i will wait. Maybe when all DLC are released they give us a discount.

So I take these: KZN Mercenary, TWD Se1, Stealth (Cross Buy), Lone Survivor (Cross Buy) and Rain for $27.18. Nice deal. But i will purchased until January 20 (Monday) i will wait to see the discounts of the next week, maybe there is something more ;)

  • #Spyro #Crash #Vita

  • @117:

it’s better that you bought the game because you get to keep it as long as you want for one price instead of paying $50 a year, or which ever monthly subscription you’re buying, to keep it. and the cheapest that game is going to get is $10, unless they release an ultimate edition that would be a better bang for your buck. plus, it’s a pretty long game.

the most recent example is DMC: it was on sale about a few months ago, not for a very good price i might add, and now it’s free for PSPlus. if you guys really care about stretching your psn wallet, you need to watch for the price and not the sale. i thought i was so smart when i got trine 2 (reg. $14.99) for $7.50, but it went on sale for $3.75 more than twice after that.

  • @Thrill_Kill

PS4 game cases come with 7 day PS Plus trials, similar to the 30 Day trials. I’ve been using 7 Day Trials for a few weeks now cause people don’t ever use them when traded in. I just finally used the 30 Day Trial from buying the PS4 on launch, but after that’s up I’ll redeem my year.

  • I contacted customer support, got no help. I just hate being talked to like I’m an idiot, I’m not, I sell your products on a daily basis. I’d probably could do their job better. Why are problems like these not easily resolved?

If I want to buy a game on sale for $9, but it’s forcing me to download it for free instead as part of the IGC from Plus when it’s not part of that line-up, why do I have to deal with this? Why is it hard to just give me the license, take the $9 out of my account? I had problems with IGC Borderlands not properly giving me license when I bought Borderlands 1 and 2 as part of a discounted bundle for $20 last year. I just had recently an issue with Doki Doki Universe that was on sale for $9.99, but as advertised for PS3/Vita/PS4 I was only given the license to PS3 and Vita only. I’m still to this day waiting for my refund to come through.

Why couldn’t someone at management just offer me a $10 voucher to buy the PS4 version? Clearly you can tell I bought the game. You can see it mentions all 3 platforms? I feel like I have to make a twitter account now and just pester Yoshida till I get a response now.

  • @SuperTiso My bad. Thought you would have downloaded it for free already (I would if I did). I wouldn’t deal with Sony’s customer service by phone as they can be useless sometimes. Since my suggestion didn’t work, guess you can give them an email. But there’s not enough time as the next weekly PSN update is tomorrow and they take days to respond. At this rate, if you can’t manage to buy it by tomorrow, guess you can just wait for Soul Sacrifice Delta instead when that gets localized here.

  • I find Sony’s unwillingness to take people’s money in situations like this to be the most legit complaint on here. Most people wishing to buy things on sale when they already got it free will remain Plus members anyway. When they buy (or try to buy) a previously free game cheaply, they’re simply doing so as insurance in case their sub runs out. They want to keep ownership of the game, and they’re willing to pay for it.

On the other hand (simply explaining Sony’s actions here, not defending them): They want you to stay subbed forever. Giving you what you want in the form of games at a discounted price would pride you with an incentive to leave the program. They figure your $50/year (or more if you choose different plans) is worth more than your $9 now + the other fairly rare occasions when this might happen.

Then again, maybe there’s not as much thought put into it. XD

  • @Gamerzlimited Yeah I’ve only dealt with them through e-mail and live chat through the web. If anything I’ll probably attempt to add it to the cart tonight, and if it ends up as part of the free service I’ll tell them to issue a refund of the license and wait for Delta, or just buy it from Amazon if they ever put the game for digital download.

@ThumbsOfSteel74 That’s probably my main and only complaint of Plus. The option not to buy a “free” game when it’s on sale. The process exists because once your Plus expires any attempt to play the game prompts you to purchase the game. It would be something as simple as changing how Plus offers licenses, I.E. put every license in the PS Plus section that you are entitled to and have a button where it says “purchase” or something.

Who’s to say, that’s what I detest getting the free games. I made a mistake years ago when I got my PS3 again and didn’t care about as the Xbox was my main system of choice after the PSN Hack. Ever since then I’ve worked to purchase the games and content I cared enough to want to own. Just really bummed because this is now the third time Sony and their Plus service has left me an unhappy customer.

  • FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS SOUL SACRIFICE FOR $9

The error message that pops up indicating you’ll get the game for free as part of the “Instant Game Collection” seems to pop-up in error. If you brave it and click add to cart and continue it will appear in your cart for $9. I checked my account on the web and Soul Sacrifice isn’t attached to an expiration date. Get this game now before tonight’s end if you wanted it but was running into the same problem I had.

  • 19.99 for Persona 4 golden ! That’s a steal for that game !

  • I only have a Play Station vita but need repairs for damages

  • I missed the sale.
