Not as good a discount on FFXIII-2 as seen on the Xbox Games on Demand, but I might pick up my digital replacement now (but still kinda bummed I piecemealed add-ons before the bundle hit for about the same price O paid). FFIII calls out to me, to, with its better feature set than the abandoned mobile version. Guessing FFVI-FFVIII aren’t here to avoid Vampiring the Android and PC (re)releases.

Still no Vita for me, so ambivalent on “Smart as…”…

Ugh, *I, *too

+ Binarynova on January 27th, 2014 at 12:37 pm said:

Nice Final Fantasy sale.

But why are the PSP versions of Final Fantasy I & II still absent ONLY from the US store? :\

+ TJF588 on January 27th, 2014 at 12:41 pm said:

(Should’ve added this in to my typo corrections…) And very lackluster discount on FFXIV content compared to the $10/$15 prices we last saw, but again, is this to make the PS4 versions prices less unappealing?

For anyone who likes making statements with their wallet, check out how SQEX curtly handled a big DQX YouTube promoter, and consider if the company at large deserves to keep its disregarded fans.

Definitely glad I’m getting my check Friday. See a few Final Fantasy games I’m going to pick up finally on my account.

+ Shimrra74 on January 27th, 2014 at 1:07 pm said:

Kinda disappointed with the “discount” on some of the FF games. Definitely going to pick up FFIX for $5.39.

+ purse317 on January 27th, 2014 at 1:20 pm said:

I have to ask why isn’t FF XIV listed at a lower price. We got it for $10 back in December on another psn sale. That got me and loads of others into the game and hooked.

+ Crazysoulman on January 27th, 2014 at 1:26 pm said:

Kristine ? Is is true we are getting OutLast free for plus? And are doing a video for PlayStation plus again?
Just asking u did a great job! Keep up the great work I really love video you did last month for January! Thanks you are really good at what you do and do u know what we are getting for ps+? Just as thanks!

February P+ update please

+ AizawaYuuichi on January 27th, 2014 at 1:50 pm said:

Our PS+ monthly outlook has been coming to us the last Friday of the month. It just so happens that the very last day of the month this month is a Friday, so it feels like the post is coming later than usual, but that’s just the way things work out every once in a while.

And it seems like on PS4, everyone gets the same free games, so yeah, we should be expecting Outlast for February. It will be the first game for PS4 I won’t bother downloading. Really, really not into horror/survival horror games. Sid can have fun with it, but I’m keeping my distance, haha.

I’ll add Smart As… to my Download List, but I don’t think I have room for it on my Vita right now. Need to finish something and delete it to make room. The lack of 64GB cards released locally and a removal of the 100-icon limit is really starting to hold the system back with all the games that are available.

PlayStation Vita Memory Card 64GB (PCH-Z641J)
by Sony are readily available to everyone in North America on Amazon w/Free Shipping.

So I fail to see the problem as far as that is concerned. >_>

+ Husteen on January 27th, 2014 at 2:01 pm said:

the plus prices for already discounted games are pathetic, even though i already knew that about the service, but i’ll still consider getting final fantasy xiii-2.

i’m really enjoying DmC that i got last week, and i’m glad i didn’t get vergil’s downfall because now i have enough money to get FFXIII-2 for the same price.

+ shadowwalker421 on January 27th, 2014 at 2:13 pm said:

Darn I should have waited to get my Final Fantasy XIV a realm reborn collectors edition. I bought it at full price lol. That’s ok I still love the game.

+ ZigNoff on January 27th, 2014 at 2:27 pm said:

Those PSplus prices cant be right, no offense but 60 cents to 1 dollar off from PSN normal price sale? That seems weak.

I’d really like it if we got discounts on games added to the IGC, seeing as how the DLC that we pay for is useless once our subscription ends.

+ jefferyshimkus on January 27th, 2014 at 3:11 pm said:

Perfect timing on the FF sale! I was about to buy some on Amazon, not anymore.

+ Sgt_0951 on January 27th, 2014 at 3:38 pm said:

Meh. At least there are some great PS3 games in the IGC. Hopefully we’ll get some good deals in February.

+ earth_inheritor on January 27th, 2014 at 3:41 pm said:

For everyone asking about the Feb PS4 free game.

I believe it was announced 2-3 weeks ago as being Outlast coming Mid Feb. Free to Plus on release day.

+ virtueX7 on January 27th, 2014 at 3:46 pm said:

If I don’t have any experience with Final Fantasy, should I start with the Origins collection here on this sale or wait for the X/X-2 remaster that’s coming soon?

+ radioactivez0r on January 27th, 2014 at 3:46 pm said:

I would have been interested in some of the old FF games as I never played them, but not at these prices. They are 20+ years old now right? How in the world are they $20 standard?? $4-5 a piece and you would have had a sale.

+ DION3TO on January 27th, 2014 at 3:47 pm said:

Gonna get Smat As…
Looks promising!

+ earth_inheritor on January 27th, 2014 at 3:58 pm said:

On a side note..good sale but a shame to see FFXIII-2 cheaper in the XBL Sale, not by much but it still less at around the $6.50 mark. But hey i have the first on PS3 and plan to keep my collection together

+ flnettles on January 27th, 2014 at 4:40 pm said:

Can’t WAIT till Basement Crawl goes live…. do ya think maybe, just maybe it might be a Plus member freebie??

NICE!, this weekend i almost buy FFXIII and FFXIII-2 and now both games will have a mayor discount!, thanks Sony

Outlast is free for ps plus on the ps4 next month i cant wait yay!!!

+ saab01 on January 27th, 2014 at 5:20 pm said:

I knew DMC was going to leave after 1 month since its such a good game it wouldn’t stay in the IGC long. Anyways I hope next month even better games than this month will join the IGC. If we get Dishonored or Tomb Raider I would be soooooooo happy.

+ ryan1701e on January 27th, 2014 at 5:32 pm said:

Actually a pretty fun game. Pretty easy plat too, just grinding out the 100 days trophy. I really liked it.

+ KnifingGrimace on January 27th, 2014 at 5:42 pm said:

Yay! Thanks for the discounts on FF games. I’ve been waiting to buy FFIII until it went on sale, since I already own it on DS. I still really wanted a digital copy for my Vita though.

FFIII gets a lot of crap for being hard as balls during the last dungeon, but I still love it. It’s the classic gaming experience in a can, minus all of the painful mechanics of Final Fantasies I & II. Unless you still consider FFIII to have painful mechanics, which… probably many do, but whatever. I want it.

+ PsienceWins on January 27th, 2014 at 5:46 pm said:

Reading some of these comments explains why Smart As… was added to the IGC. That being said I can’t wait to play it. I loved Brain Age on my DS and I enjoy logic puzzles. I know it’s not quite that, but it’s still something to work my brain.

Looking forwards to getting FF3 for my Vita too. I wanted to pick it up a year ago, but I wasn’t willing to pay $20. I have almost all the other FF games on that list though.

Probably pick up Ethan Meteor Hunter too. Gotta love mascot based platformers.

+ Cailind on January 27th, 2014 at 6:28 pm said:

So, should I buy both Dissidia games, or does the newest one contain all that is needed, aside for DLC.

+ omega_alpha-619 on January 27th, 2014 at 6:35 pm said:

@ Cailind: Do not buy the first one.. Dissidia Duodecim has everything you need, aside from the DLC of course. :)

You already knew Smart As was on the way this month. Don’t pretend to be surprised. You’re not fooling anyone. You merely saw an opportunity to be a troll and you took it. Obvious. Weak.

Not excited for the PS+ game, but I’ll try it out just for the heck of it.

People who rate this PS+ update low stars are a bunch of dipsticks. You guys think you’re a Smart As…, do you? You guys want Vita games? There’s one. We don’t need stupid idiots like Ryumoaner or DumbOfSarrow to hate because they don’t like it.

I bought Final Fantasy IX the last time it was on sale and it kicked off a Final Fantasy binge that’s been going for 8 months now. I’ll be picking up Final Fantasy V, as it’s now one of two numbered Final Fantasy games I haven’t played. I’ve never played XII either, and yesterday I gave up hope on it coming to PS3 and ordered it online.

Really wish I’d bought XIV when it was $10… I might take the plunge this time.

Can’t wait for Lightning Returns!

@ FullOf_Splooge

I knew he was going to be here? Did I?

Did you know that I knew? Does that also mean that I knew you’d be here also to say what you did?

Does that also mean you knew I’d respond to show everyone how foolish you are (to hang yourself with your own words)? Did you know that was going to happen?

And do you know what’s going to happen next?

I do… ;)
