You know what the problem is? I think “Smart As…” might be intimidating to those who are complaining about it. You know, the type that needs pretty pictures (graphics) to stare at all the time to lull their brains into a permanent state of mush, or the timid little sheep who need their hands held through everything they do (because thinking is hard!).
Too scared to walk alone. Afraid to be tested. Horrified by the thought of having their incompetence exposed and their faces rubbed in it…

Why aren’t we seeing more classic games released for the PS4 (or PS3 for that matter)?
So many people go crazy at even the hint of a classic like Strider, Sonic, Neo-Geo, but there has only been a handful of collections (Midway, Sonic’s Sega), There are way more of these on iOS and Android.
The Neo-Geo Station collection has been a Featured PSN Store game for years, but hasn’t had a single new game release in over 2 years.
COME ON SONY.. GIVE US SOME CLASSICS!!!

Thanks for the FF sale! I was just lamenting last week when I wanted to get either IV/V/WOTL that EU gets it and we don’t :D. Ended up buying 3rd birthday for my Vita instead.

@rudetoy I’m pretty sure we should expect Metro: Last Light for February. Instead of we getting titles for both NA and EU, I think we should get games EU has that we do not. Something like Assassin’s Creed III, Far Cry 3, Mass Effect 3, Jak & Daxter Collection, Street Fighter x Tekken (Vita), Remember Me, etc.
Also, you’re not aware, Deadpool got removed on various digital platforms due to an expired license and Activision has no plans to renew it. So not happening.

@PrimeroIncognito (#153) The interesting is, I think Smart As actually has some pretty impressive visuals, so I don’t think it’s looks that are putting people off. Some people just like to complain I guess. (Or they’re afraid to find out their brain score lol). Anyway, welcome to the vita club.
I don’t have a Vita and I have all the Final Fantasy’s except for XIV… but don’t want to pay a monthly subscription… (other than PS+) So pretty much a boring week of PS+ for me. I know I’ve always ask for RPG’s So I suppose it’s still a good update. It’s not often you guys just happen to offer stuff I have already lol.
BTW would be cool if plus members could play FFXIV included with their Plus subscription. Just a thought, I suppose it’s up to Square, really.
interesting seeing a final fantasy sale being recycled again… but omitting 6, 7, 8 is odd to me. thankfully this time around 5 does work on the vita.
but sadly cant support many purchases towards any vita compatible games until the 100 app limit is eliminated or extended.
its stunting the vita. the store/blog/company are aware of this, but are indifferent and dont act upon it.
there are entire portions of the vita store i wont make purchases on because of this. will boycotting your products provide you with the enlightenment that the 100 apps/save files limit is strangleholding the vita? sadly no! when a company is shortsighted and pigeonholds its product, i find it hard to defend/support them. im only one person, and from seeing the “vote for change” portion of the site and how 2000+ have voted to change the limit and nothing has been done… i have little faith anything will ever be done.
for me the vita is stunted because of this limit. vita translates to life. not stillborn.
when you have faults, fear not to abandon them.
compare it to an iphone? whats the app limit on those? try 2000+.
how many psone/psp/vita/mobile/apps are there? its not 100, try 500+ easy, and its still growing!!!

@Gamerzlimited….interesting info, thanks. Didn’t know that about Deadpool. Yeah, Metro:Last Light seems all but a certainty, if not February than the next couple of months for sure. I’d be very happy with J&D Collection. Wishing for The Last of Us may seem like a longshot, but Bioshock Infinite was released about 9 months ago and just got to the IGC and it was a AAA title. Last of Us was released in June of last year, which means it could be released starting around March and perhaps later. I’ve been postponing buying it, in hopes it will head to the IGC, so hoping my patience will pay off :)

sadly people downvote anything not dealing with them and stifle anything positive or constructive that could be done to alleviate problems vita owners have with the limit . who votes against changing something that has no result to them if the limit was extended or eliminated?
theyd be none the wiser, but curtail it to schadenfreude or envy maybe…

i have to point out thats its not really 100 apps/saves. its 82, due to undeletable apps on the device. the limit is 100, so i find it easier to just denote the 100 limit number. im not suggesting the undeletable apps are games. just an overall way to say it.

the cards are being exported out of japan/asia as we speak. same as the new vita pch-2000 models. think last i checked they cards are around 100-115, not counting shipping… its basically as much as the 32gb used to be and let me tell you theyre perfect.
well till you hit the app limit. once more people have these cards theyll see the app limit is making these cards ultimately useless.
by the time the other markets get em theyd probably be rolling out 128gb cards in japan/asia.
still waiting on yakuza 5, oh it came out in 2012 you say… hmmm? nothing like playing a “new game” thats 2-3 years old. just kidding, we’ll never see it…
sega has a pitiful track record for the yakuza series getting localization. funny enough yakuza 1&2 hd are on the psn. jp and hk psn that is. still waiting on black panther 1&2…

Decisions, decisions. Already have 5-9 on my vita, as well as Tactics. Now do I go with Duodecim, IV, or Origins? 3 doesn’t look all that interesting.

Where can I find the page where I can vote to up the limit for the Vita from 100 apps? I find that ridiculous as well, especially since I already had 100 games at one point, and have to keep removing games I like AND PURCHASED whenever I want to buy any new games.
I have fourteen turtles which I keep in an atrium in my garage. The oldest one’s name is Deuce. I named him that because he poops a lot. The rest I named after their shells, which I painted. Unicorn is probably the fastest of the bunch, but Luke is by far the meanest. I saw him eat fifty crickets in less than an hour.

its futile to vote. just took a gander at the page and somehow its been downvoted 1800-1700 in favor of NO. seems like ballot stuffing. only 36 comments toward the OP, and all but 2 are positive towards the change. yet somehow 1800 people vote to not implement eliminating/extending it. hmmm?
i can only understand the argument to eliminate/extend. there is no valid argument to keep it as is. i fear its more people hating on others wanting a constructive and positive change.
soo negative ballot stuffers can feel good about themselves and the people who need the vita to be improved upon are left in limbo.

Are they ever going to put the Playstation 1 version of Final Fantasy IV back up?? Sucks they replaced it with the PSP only “complete collection.” I have all the Final Fantasys on my PS3 except that since they took it down. Why not have the complete collection in the store alongside the regular version?
Wow. I saw some people talking about Deadpool being taken down from the store. Sure enough all of Activision’s Marvel content is missing from the store.
This brings up a problem that’s been plaguing PSN for a long time. I had to go back 36 pages in my download history to find Deadpool to check that it was still there. I’ve got over 1800 items in my account. I have most of the addons for the other games that got taken down too. God knows where they are in my list. The only reason I was able to find Deadpool is because I bought it when it was first released and just looked up the date on google. I bought the other stuff at random times so it’ll be impossible to find.

We need a way to sort our download lists. We need to be able to sort by what the platform is (PSX/PSP/Vita/PS3/PS4) and we need to be able to sort by the type of content (Games/Minis/DLC/Themes/Avatars/ETC). A search box would be a huge help too.
This isn’t complicated stuff and it’s amazing that a simple sort mechanic wasn’t included from the start. I must say that I hate how the PS4 sorts games by last played instead of letting you sort it alphabetically.
Seriously – Alphabetical sorting is accepted worldwide. It’s easy – Say it with me. A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z – Now I know my ABC’s, next time won’t you just let me sort my lists how I want to sort them!!!!

getting transparency to who exactly is voting is going to be tough. but an oversight committee could be what is necessary.

it is illegal to run a fraudulent blogging website for page clicks? sony does have the right to say NO to having a blog be its stop-gap to the community when the vote for change is on SONY behalf.
especially if the blogging site couldnt produce votes made on change. why have a voting system in place thats not working? or for that matter takes your upvote and tosses it out. is it only downvotes that are getting accepted? hence every single idea for change has more downvotes then up.

Psp games do work on the vita as j have been playing killzone liberation on myvita. also for those of you asking about why ff7 isnt on the sale j think 9.99 for it is generous as if you go to a game store they want $150 for it.
I still wonder why no one can make games likes FF7 or Chrono Trigger/Cross , year after year i wait…
Have you guys wondered about making a Plus Discount on Sorcery Saga on Vita? I´m itching to play it, but the full price is just too expensive.

It’s hard to justify purchasing Origins when the PSP versions are out there. It sure would be nice to have FF1 and FF2 Anthology versions on NA PSN. Has there been any attempt to reach out to Square for this? I’m sure they’d sell much better than Origins. I’d buy both of them, and I know many others would as well.
PS Plus, what’s up with all those sports games for the PS Vita? Can we please start getting different genres like adventure or rpg’s. ‘Cause its getting annoying.. really…

@shibbydibbybibby you wouldn’t happen to be referring to the PS Blog.share site would you? Yeah, unfortunately I think it may have been abandoned as there haven’t been any new ideas posted in quite some time. The weird thing is if you check all of the ideas that have been implemented, most of them have more downvotes than upvotes. Still, I think there’s still somewhat of a chance that they’ll remove the 100 icon limit (after all look how long it took for us to be able to use Content Manager for our PS3 through wifi). Here’s to hoping for the best!
@Thermopyle2 Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem likely that the 20th Anniversary editions will ever be available on North America’s PSN. Personally, I sent multiple e-mails to Square-Enix asking if they would add the games, but only ever received a canned response that boiled down to “no plans at this time.” There are also a few forums up on Square-Enix’s site asking the same question, but they have received no official response.
We have a lot of games for PS3 and PS Vita, at least two games every week, how about PS4? We’re waiting for great free PS4 games :)
You guys really need to bring Final Fantasy I & II Anniversary (PSP) to the PSN. I want to play FF 1-10 on my vita, but would prefer I&II to be the PSP versions over Origins :(

I already own most of these, but Square Enix’s idea of a “sale” is polarizing. I mean, most companies give the PS Plus discount as half of the sale price, but not Square, they call a sale, charging what other companies charge for their classics then lowering it 10% for the PS Plus subscribers. I’m gonna pass on this one, but thanks for the info! Also, you can get a new copy of FF XIII – 2 for $10 usually so why settle for digital?
Playstation updates content ever Tuesday for everything but the PS4. I am disappointed. Plase pick up the pace. Playstation plus needs to give us something that isn’t a cheesy 2D, or side scrolling game. I mean look at the quality of the PS plus games out on the other systems. Then look at the number of them.
Please pick up the pace.
As soon as this update goes live I’m grabbing Final Fantasy IX.
