can’t decide whether i want to get FFXIII-2 or not, Walking Dead Survival Instinct is a good price, but i don’t really want that one, Arkham Origins is gonna need more time to become a good deal, and i’ve learned my lesson with the first two Assassin’s Creed games i bought last year. no more AC games for me, i don’t care how cheap they are.

I’m picking up DBZ on Vita and trying Smart As…

I wish TR wasn’t so expensive as a re-release or I’d get it to have something on my PS4. The console has been gathering dust for a while now with no games to play on it.

Looking forward to another good month of PS+ next month, especially to make up for this month’s lackluster Vita lineup

HEY, SONY.

You shut down MAG today. You told us it would happen on January 28th, but did you really have to shut it down at 3:00PM EST? I realize that was 5:00AM on the 29th in Japan, but the rest of the world still had a LOT of January 28th left.

Not even a warning or any further announcements. Really a rather shabby way to shut down MAG, SOCOM4, and SOCOM: Confrontation.

I’d really like to recommend for future server closings that you throw in a substantial grace period from the date of the announced closing, so that EVERYONE gets the full closing day for those last few, desperate hours to enjoy the games for the last time.

Seriously shabby handling, really.

I usually don’t comment on these things, but this time I felt it was needed:

I loved Tomb Raider on PS3. But there is NO WAY that a facelift for the game is worth 60$ if you already own the ps3 version. I kept expecting square enix to do the smart move and discount it for owners of the digital ps3 version, I would’ve totally bought it for 30$, but they decided to go the greedy way, so I’ll resort to renting it.

Shame on you Square Enix for double-dipping into fans’ pockets so much.

Awesome update PSN team. I’m really looking forward to Lightning Returns, right after I finish Tales of Xillia. But there is one game I’m wondering about.

Could you guys look into getting us word on where the SHELL Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of The Shadows is? I understand it had to be pushed back but the last time Red Fly gave us word was back in October. February is around the corner and we haven’t heard anything since then. I still have plenty of games I’m looking to get my hands on this year and I wanted to use TMNT to fill that gap before I got them. I was really looking forward to practicing and mastering that game and I’ve been patient but it’s gotta be somewhere right?

Thanks guys!

Kristine,

So I’m confused now. LAST week Atlus mistakenly said that Persona 2 and some other games were going to be on sale on their facebook feed last week. They then withdrew that statement saying it was an error and said it was going to be this week. Now it’s not this week.

Is this a case where Atlus is very confused OR is it normal for sales to be moved around before they actually launch? I’m just curious.

Thanks for another solid update and your hard work.

Yeah, Square-Enix is giving the PS4 version to PS3 owners for free. The PS4 beta starts in February and will be officially released in April. Players of the PS4 beta will not be initially allowed to play with normal XIV players due to beta purposes, but once the official version is released, PC, PS3, and PS4 users will all play on the same servers.

Additionally, if you get the collector’s edition, you get 6 unique items, including the new Fat Chocobo Mount and Mammet Moogle minion. Fun stuff.

Just to gripe on the Final Fantasy sale, even beyond the discrepancy from this past Xbox Games On Demand sale, they really couldn’t’ve even applied to 10% Plus discount to the base price instead of the sale price, resulting in 55%? Not quite Activision levels of “shouldn’t’ve even bothered,” but for Plus itself it feels that way.

Otherwise, er, STUFF. TO BUY. Another week is here.

In Asia, there is an “Assassin’s Creed Heritage” collection, including AC1, AC2, Brotherhood, Revelation and AC3. All the DLCs are available separately but FREE (except AC3 DLCs). Comes on disc and digitally at a price better than buying them individually from your sale here (it’s about US$49). Will the Heritage collection be coming to US store?

Try asking Red Fly. Sony has no control over when a studio submits a game.

Though it’s worth noting there’s zero mention of the game on their website aside from the front page link to their Facebook page, which hasn’t been updated since October.

I’m pretty sure we’re not getting it. Which you really shouldn’t be all that broken up about, the game isn’t good.
