LittleBigPlanet Update: DC Comics Costume Pack 4 out this week

DC Comics Costume Pack 4 arriving to LBP this week!

Our DC Comics adventures continue this week and we have four more popular characters arriving to LittleBigPlanet. Wonder Woman, The Flash, Solomon Grundy, SHAZAM! And Zatanna will all be available in DC Comics Costume Pack 4!

All of these great costumes can also be purchased individually or if you’re an absolutely mega DC Comics fan and have purchased the DC Comics Season Pass already, they will become available to you to download when the PlayStation Store updates later this week.

Witness the Ultimate DC Comics Battle!

Our ultimate DC Comics battle is nearly reaching its final climax! With the addition of this week’s new costume pack, there are now an incredible 22 DC Comics superheroes and villains involved in the eternal battle between good and evil!

But wait… Eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted that there’s one mysterious character still missing! Can anyone figure out who this mystery figure may be?

You can expect to discover their secret identity when we release the all-new DC Comics Premium Level Pack made exclusively for LittleBigPlanet PS Vita! This new level pack includes the final costume and will complete our DC Comics content collection, so be sure to stay tuned for more news of this upcoming release!

Our LittleBigPlanet 2: Team Picks this week take a turn for the sweet and tasty with the wonderfully designed Sweet Tooth Cinema. Your Sackboy or Sackgirl will have to have to run and jump through all kinds of treats to escape this popular cinema!

You can check out this wonderful, colorful platformer and a whole range of exciting new community levels today by heading over to the LittleBigPlanet 2: Team Picks and queuing them up to play!

If you’re a bit of a speed demon though, you may want to zip over to our LittleBigPlanet Karting: Team Picks to check out a range of exciting new tracks to race around, including this rather incredible World of Myths & Legends.

You have got to be kidding me. Stop posting this garbage! Have you no shame? 12 people in the entire country will buy this crap. Give it a rest already. This game is no longer relevant. People want to hear about Tearaway and the inevitable development of LBP 3, not this 5 year old relic.

Can’t wait for the Vita DC level pack. I’m guessing that the surprise character is either Robin or Nightwing.
Would love it to be one of the ‘darker’ characters, though. Sandman, Swamp Thing, John Constantine….

Actually PanTheMan16, I beg to differ. So does the LBP community! I make videos on LittleBigPlanet content regularly and my videos on the DC Comics Adventure has been a HUGE hit.

wow @pantheman. like reallly there is a big community, lbp is growing. 100’s great levels being published almosty daily. i love lbp on both ps3 and psvita like 1000’s of others. if u dont play the game u shouldnt be trolling this lbp post. dont click here.
CANT WAIT for the lbpv dc level kit and the last costume i have no clue.

I sort of agree with comment numero 1..but this game is fun and very challenging. Im playing the VITA version and let me tell you its not as easy as it looks.Yes the characters look extremely cute and the graphics are not super colorfull like nintendos 2d games..but its still very fun to play. The fact that there is still DLC being released for this game after all this time its been out is also impressive. So yeah this game might be very old but its a classic IMO. Now i would seriously like to see a new game with Guacamele graphics but that allow us to customize our characters and have a sence of OPEN WORLD feel to it.

Hey PanTheMan16. LBP is still getting DLC support for a reason. That reason being the HUGE LBP fan base. I am one of the ones that will be buying the DC Costume Pack 4 because the Flash is epic. Just because you don’t like LBP2, don’t troll those who do and I assure you there are more than 12 in every country.

I agree with comment #1 because he’s right in every regard, they should ditch this game and focus on developing LBP3 for the PS4. LBP2 and the PS3 are old and tired and this needs to be on the new PlayStation. Just because they are releasing a few costumes now doesn’t mean support for this game is going to continue for long even with a huge fanbase. Sony is only pledging support for the PS3 until 2015, so who knows how long this game will be around. This is probably the reason why there’s no LBP Hub on the PS3 because they know it wouldn’t last long.

I have LBP, LBP PSP, and LBP 2 when I say enough of this and just create a new game already. For sakes, I’ve been playing this game before I went to high school and I’m halfway in grade 11 now. Make a new game already, LBP 2 is old and only brought together by people who pick it up in the bargain bin, just like any other old game.

Last one is Captain Cold. As you can see, the figure is wearing a hood, and has frost coming off of his hands. He’s also on the opposite side of The Flash, and he’s one of The Flash’s enemy.

He will also be the costume that’s exclusive to the PSVITA version of the game (for those who don’t know, yes, the last costume is a PSVITA exclusive, or at least that’s what they said, they could have changed their minds).

It’s COOL (see what I did there?) to see Captain Cold get the spot light, I was hoping he would be in Injustice: Gods Among Us, but Killer Frost made it in instead of him. Maybe he will be in Injustice 2 (if they make a part 2).

  The final costume will be contained with the LBP PS Vita DC Comics Premium Level Pack.
  However if you purchase that pack when it’s released, you will also get the costume for both LBP2 and LBP Karting.
  
  Much like how if you were to purchase the DC Comics Premium Level Pack for PS3, you would get the Cyborg and Cheetah Costumes for LBP PS Vita and LBP Karting. :)

They aren’t ready to make LBP 3 probably, either that or a different dev is making LBP 3 (which is very possible, because Media Molecule is wanting to make new stuff instead of just pushing out LBPs). I personally think it’s cool how the game is still being supported after all these years, but I do understand that people are ready for a new game, instead of just playing one that’s been out for about 3 years. I want them to take their time with the next LBP, so if they aren’t ready, I think they should just take their time.

Anyway, I wouldn’t say it’s garbage just because you want a new game, DC is awesome, LBP is awesome, so it’s even more awesome that were getting DC Comics crossed LittleBigPlanet.

Are we going to see a sequel to Little Big Planet 2? I have been a fan of Little Big Planet since the beginning and I’m really ready for a new story line. Anytime I play Little Big Planet it’s always for the story and the collectables. I have never been able to get into the creative part. You have always supported the community with constant downloadable content and I just wonder when a new Little Big Planet will arrive. Have you guys ever thought of making a movie based on Little Big Planet? I always imagined a movie with no talking and just expressions and emotions to bring everything to life. It would have a great soundtrack and appear to all ages. It would have that classic Disney feel to a movie. Anyways please pass on to Media Molecule that us gamers would really like to see a Little Big Planet 3.

All of this DC DLC is great AND it’s a great way to keep the game fresh… even though there are still hundreds of new levels being created every day. But it’s an awesome idea to combine the DC universe with LBP!! Sometimes combinations like these 2 properties end up not really working out… that’s not the case though with this. It’s sort of like the Scribblenauts/DC combo game that came out a few months back… I enjoyed that as well.

One question though, as far as the Vita is concerned, what is available right now in the Vita version of LBP as far as DC characters and level packs etc.? From what i gather reading this article, it seems like all of the Vita specific DC DLC is coming soon (i.e. there isn’t anything yet involving DC to play on the Vita as of right now). Is that an accurate picture of what’s happening right now with the Vita version???

Ok, now i’ m sure that i will buy de season pack :D. I really love the lbp community, but lbp vita doesn`t have many items as lbp 2.

is there any chance to get/ buy /obtain LBP Music, LBP 2 Music and LBP DLC music for LBP vita in the future?

Oh damn I missed this post yesterday….finally the 4th pack of costumes…I wasn’t expecting Grundy thats very cool but Zatanna?…I’m disappointed with her costume but whatever among so many awesome costumes Zatanna is irrelevant.

BTW the missing character sure is Captain Cold…I had never heard of him before but after seeing people saying its him in the comments I did a lil research on him and no doubt its him since he’s Flash’s enemy.I knew it would be anyone with ice-alike powers just didn’t know who.

Well awesome update…my season pass is ready for the costumes…been waiting for Flash.

PS:That’s Captain Marvel,his name isn’t Shazam lol.

For you all and all the trolls that might come forth….you guys really go beyond the meaning of ignorant….we don’t need LBP 3….making LBP 3 would just milk the LBP universe….and thats why Mm doesn’t want to make it.LBP 2 is the definitive version of LBP…you can do everything there…why release a new one?…it would be just to spoil the greatness of the game…new DLC packs is what we need and the DC pack is incredible….and by saying the game is old and nobody plays it anymore is just proof that your ignorance knows no bounds.

PS:We got LBPVIta….another reason to not make LBP3.

A lot of people would buy LBP3 if they make it, which would probably be for PS4 only. A lot of those people don’t own any other Sony consoles, so they can’t play LBP at all right now.

But that doesn’t excuse people trolling these posts every week. 100% certain they’ll be back next week, refreshing the main blog page all morning. -_-

BTW, I greatly enjoyed LBP1 & 2 (despite the buggy online). I don’t play them any more, but I’m glad the community is still active enough to justify these weekly posts. See you next Monday. :)

When will the DC Comics Level Pack come out for Little Big Planet Playstation Vita? Will the Playstation Vita DC Comics costume be only on the Playstation Vita version or will it be when you buy the PS Vita version, you get on Little Big Planet 2?
