Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f Comes to PS Vita Today

PS Vita owners, rejoice! The big day is finally here, and Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f is available today for download on PlayStation Store for PS Vita in North America!

The game releases on PSN today for $29.99, and for all you European readers, it will be available next week on March 12th in Europe! If you’ve never heard of this game before, here are the basics: Take the world’s most popular digital singer, add in over 30 of her most beloved songs, turn it all into a super-addictive rhythm game, and you’ve got Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f. We released the game last August on PS3, and following huge support from fans, we’re so excited to finally bring you all the PS Vita version of the game today!

We’re also very excited to announce our DLC Cross-Buy promotion, effective immediately for anyone who owns the Snow Miku 2013 DLC or the Extra Characters Pack DLC for the PS3 version of the game. If you already own this DLC content, you’ll unlock it for free when you pick up the PS Vita version of the game! (And vice versa, if you pick it up for PS Vita first.)

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva f also comes with a built-in video editor mode, aptly titled “Edit Mode” – here, you can build your very own rhythm game tracks and music videos with all the in-game tools at your disposal! PS Vita owners will also be able to share and download their Edit Data with PS3 users!

Some of you were wondering if we’d bring out the Extra Songs Pack in the West – and we’re happy to confirm not only that it’s available today, but that we’ll be releasing it for only $9.99! We lowered the price on this compared to the Japanese release, because we wanted to ensure that PS Vita owners weren’t paying any more for the full Project Diva experience than their PS3 brethren. We hope you all will enjoy it!

This pack includes the songs below, with four difficulties for each:

  • Tell Your World (By livetune)
  • Tokyo Teddy Bear (By Neru)
  • Dream-Eating Monochrome Baku (By Nem)
  • Sweet Devil (By Hachioji P)
  • Rin-Chan Now! (By Owata P & sezu)
  • Senbonzakura (By Kurousa P (White Flame) )

Thank you all so much for helping this Miku dream of ours come true. You’ve been nothing but supportive from the first day we asked for your likes and shares on our Facebook post, and since then, we’ve come all the way to the launch of Project Diva, not just on PS3, but finally today, on PS Vita, too.

It’s a journey we’re so humbled to have made, and so thankful to have traveled with all of you behind us and supporting us.

Happy Miku Vita Launch Day, everyone, and thank you, once more!

  • …actually on closer glance regarding the scoring labels.. it seems that they were merely renamed… Cool is the Japanese ‘Fine’ and so on down… though I’ll check back again once I compare the two versions more closely.

  • sweet. gotta wait till weekend to buy and download this when i get my internet back. just 2 more days to go.

  • Very nice…a lil late for the post…but I’ve been waiting for the Vita version to check out this game….downloaded the demo yesterday.Still need to give it a go.

  • @NotEntirelyThere
The timings are “Cool”, “Good”, “Safe”, “Bad”, and “Awful”. Safe and anything lower drops your combo, meaning you can get a “Perfect” Rating with just Cools and Goods.

More simply put, I meant to say that the sync between the audio and the note timing seemed very off and rewarded late presses more favorably than on-time presses. My demo also experienced moments of slowdown in the World End Dancehall stage.

  • Trying to figure out what game to delete to download this hhaha

  • Oh so I can get cross buy DLC…..but screw the idea of cross buying a game I already supported on console >.<

  • +1 on bringing the sync tool over as well

I’ll quite happily keep buying these games, but it’d be nice to limit the retreading =)

  • This is just awesome!! I just hope this means the sequel, Project Diva F 2nd will get a western release too!
Cause if it does I will defiantly but it!! :D

  • Any chance you could tell me the Australian price for the game, since the game comes out in a couple of days in europe? thanks for bringing the game to the west

  • Well, Topped up my PSN account ready for the EU release of Project Diva f, first time playing it on this account but my other account has the PS3 Diva from both Eu and JP and has the JP Vita version, so I’m going for my Quad Dip :3

SEGA why you make these games so good D:

    Please keep releasing them :3

I promise you my purchases if you do xD

I promise I wont mention my undying passions for Miku, Yakuza and Phantasy Star Online ( although dropping a hint wont hurt ;) )

Please if you can pass my hopes that Project Diva F 2nd will come to EU aswell :3

  • I’m a huge fan of having physical copies of games. Will this actually come out in retail stores? I bought the PS3 version and loved it, I’d buy this again if it were on a Vita cart.

  • This might be a stupid question, but whatever.
I already bought the game for ps3 and bought a vita yesterday (still getting used to it). But the vita version of this game was one of the games I bought immediately. The article says the vita version would get dlc that was already purchased for the ps3 version, right? Does that happen automatically thru my psn account stuff or do I have to do something manually?

  • Just wondering what this means for us aussies, most games that come through the store are from SCE EU, but the 12th is here and i don’t see it on the store or in the coming soon section :c. I don’t want to start having to hurt people…..

  • There is nothing on the EU ps store, and we are at the release date..

  • Been back and forth between the EU VITA store and the online store, still nothing :'( I NEED ME SOME MIKU :(

Oh well, looks like its the demo and the soundtrack for me, or the Japanese version (Still want my EU Miku xD)

  • okay just noticed the free enhancement DLC is now available on the store to anyone wanting to pre download it ready for the games eventual release (Just downloaded it)

  • I’ve been refreshing the store on my vita, pc and inapp since 9 in the morning…
Hope they let us buy the game soon, else I’ll prolly go insane :D
Btw great job bringing miku to the west SEGA, hope it pays off.

  • Still nothing on any version of the store, only the enhancement DLC so far, How long must we wait for Miku -cries-

  • Any chance owners of the PS3 Version will be getting a discount?

Or is the game cross-playable on Vita?

Even if not, I’m extremely happy you guys bring such games over to the west!
Keep up the good work (and give me a pleasing answer :p )!

  • To anyone who’s wondering where our wonderful Miku is, after tweeting @SEGA for an update they replied with

“The PSN store in the EU / UK hasn’t updated yet, but we’re told it’s on track for release today!”

so fingers crossed she’ll be here before midnight :3

  • Hello, i’m in europe and i’m waiting for this game Today, 12 March… Here is 09:36 PM but i cannot find the game on the PS store… What is happening? Please help

  • @Lars_Ctuhlu

Its still not out on the store, Please read my above comment which is a direct quote from @SEGA which you can find on my twitter wall @skullyi1234

Unfortunately its now 22:27 (10:27pm) and there’s still no sign of it on the store.

I’ll get back onto @SEGA and see what I can find, when I find out anything I’ll post it here.

  • Just an update, Not heard anything from SEGA but their website says its available whereas Playstation Store says otherwise, so it looks like its the waiting game till we finally see it on the store and available for purchase.

I have put in a few Tweets to @SEGA, @PlaystationEurope and @AskPlaystation so hopefully I’ll be back with a positive answer for everyone (including myself because I was really excited for this release)

  • Are there any plans for a retail box version of the game? I would love to have that version to stack with my game collection. Anyways thanks for releasing the vita version in the US it’s the main reason I bought the vita.

  • Thanks for bringing this game :D

  • Yay! It’s finally here!!! ^^

  • Hope the 2nd game comes to the US

  • I Bought this game last week now I’m going to import project diva f2nd.

  • Would anybody know if it would be possible if you can take an edit pv that you’ve created on the English version, and have it transferred over to the Japanese version?

  • i have the japanese ver in my ps vita but i’ll buy it again and i want the song pack!

  • So, is there *any* possibility of a patch for this? Notes are extremely late, anything 7-star and up is utterly unplayable. Kinda wish I could get a refund :|

  • sorry but i get the title (Rin fan) but i don’t have the module Rin Future Style this is normal???????

  • @GChhun: The Kagamine Rin Future Style module does not belong to the usual unlockable modules of the game. It is part of the Song Pack DLC with six extra songs and additional modules for those songs (Future Style being linked to “Rin-Chan Now” I suppose).

@Stickmanbase: Aaron stated earlier that the Western Diva f will not be compatible to Japanese/Asian Divas, neither game progress data nor edit data.

I tripple-dipped the game now (first western F, later imported japanese vita cartridge, now the western f downloaded on the vita). Now i can play with Miku and with the girls from Utagumi 575 without having to swap the game card :-)

It is good that the additional edit mode stuff is free and that both snow miku and the extra characters are cross buyable. However, it would have been a nice gesture if the song pack were free (or at least discounted) for those who downloaded the PS3-version already.

  • The most beautiful thing about the game is that you have some kind of “timed” platinum trophy:

Set your birthday in the game profile, play the game to unlock all the songs, continue grinding for diva points to buy all the modules, gifts & room stuff, trigger all room events (except from your own birthday event. Buy your own cake but don’t give it to one of the divas).

If you have unlocked all other trophies apart from “Memory Album”, wait until your birthday, go to the diva room and Tadaa you’ll get a nice cake with a gold and a platinum trophy tied to your birthday date.

Please enter your date of birth.
