It is with mixed feelings that I inform you that I will be stepping down as President and CEO of SCEA effective March 31, 2014. This is a result of a mutual agreement with SCEA, and I leave knowing that the PlayStation brand has never been stronger, PlayStation 4 momentum continues to accelerate, and the future will only get brighter for our gamers.
Serving PlayStation fans for the past 19 years has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. Your passion for gaming inspired me every day.
I want to thank you for constantly pushing PlayStation to deliver breakthrough gaming and entertainment experiences, and to never settle for “good enough.” The embodiment of this commitment can be found in the PS4, which has quickly become the #1 next-gen console worldwide…thanks to you.
We’ve shared many memories over the past two decades and I’ll always be grateful for your support.

especially when i bought and played some of the exclusives and can not believe I’ve been missing out. Last year I bought all the
God of War games, Infamous 2, Ratchet and Clank HD Collection and the Future series, Jak and Daxter HD Collection, the
Uncharted series and my favorite The Last Of Us, and still growing what i’m missing like Resistance. I have one question. What’s
your next goal/step in your life?

i’m not really into getting to know people and that stuff, but seeing him here and there he was a nice guy.
Thank you so so much for everything you’ve done for PlayStation since its existence. The work you’ve done didn’t just grow a business, it’s had a tangible positive effect on my life. Through PlayStation I’ve had positive experiences that have actually made me a better person, at some level it’s part of my personality. You’re influence will be notably missing and events like E3 will be missing that thing that made the conference so genuine. I know you appreciate the fans, and we appreciate you back. If you stop being a part of the gaming industry all together, I hope you get an outlet where you can comment on the industry from a step back. Also, if you ever write a book on your work at PlayStation, you have at least one guaranteed buyer.

I’m so upset right now.. I actually feel like throwing up. Honestly, besides watching all the [OTHER] conferences at E3, it was ALWAYS a treat to see Mr. Tretton speak at the Sony/Playstation conference. I don’t think future E3s will be the same.
I’m really, really upset. I don’t now what else to say. It also doesn’t help that all these damn trolls (not just on this blog, but other major websites) are talking major smack. Have some compassion, jeez.

Don’t often feel the need to post but I think you deserve some Kudos. You have steered the ship well through both rocky times (and lessons learnt) to the high the PS brand is riding now.

I am sad to see you go. In the shirt 4 years that I have owned my Sony Network account I have been impressed from day one and it has only gotten better every day since. Good luck to you in you’re future plans, you will be truly missed.

What times, the age where casual games in the form of modern western linear interactive movies and pewpews ruin the video game industry for everyone? You casuals should go ruin something else for someone else and leave video games alone.
Does PS4 even have any good games or is it all interactive movie pewpew junk? All I see is western trash on it.
With a bunch of generic linear western trash in the form of interactive movies and linear QTE shooters filled to the brim with microtransaction DLC. You new gamers should go play Angry/Flappy Birds on your iphones instead of continuing to ruin games with your crappy ass casual western junk, and Jack Tretton is a huge part of the problem, so good riddance to that rubbish.
