okay.. so we get the delay message alone with the playstation store update. why can’t you just put a playstation store blog post on tuesday at 2pm telling us that little message up top, then edit the post later when the update actually happens? that’s all most of us really want. Just a heads up to expect delays! Even if it’s a few hours late, give us somewhere to ask questions and get answers, would have saved every other blog post from getting flooded with “where’s the update” comments.
Promotion is available to legal U.S., Mexico, Chile and Argentina residents with a Sony Entertainment Network (“SEN”) account who are 18 or older and who have spent $60.00 USD or more using the SEN Wallet between March 11th, 2014 and March 18th, 2014.
I still find really funny the discount on Ethan for ps+ subscribers, it seems that i’ll wait for Summer sale.
Awesome job with the store update. The store’s down. No news about the missing DLC for Dark Souls 2 digital preorders. I see that Lightning Returns DLC is messed up too. I also see that after 10-20 minutes we get no further responses from anybody.
We all understand that tech problems happen, but the complete lack of communication is seen as a screw you to the people that paid you money. At the very least you could acknowledge that there’s a problem with Dark Souls 2 digital preorders and the Lightning Returns DLC. That way the people that it affects aren’t sitting around wondering what’s going on. Do the same thing when the store update is going to be late. It’s not too much to ask seeing as you get our money on a regular basis from most of us
Very annoyed that I pre-ordered Dark Souls 2 on the 10th, and even though the game didn’t come out till the 11th, which is the starting date for the promotion, my purchase does not count. This same thing happened to me with GTA5 and Cod: Ghosts. They put these promotions out on launch day and loyal customers who preordered get the boot. It’s not right. I also still have not received my pre-order items for Dark Souls 2. What gives? I’m never doing day-1 digital pre-orders again.
I can’t seem to stay logged into the PSN Store long enough to do anything. I log on and 3 seconds later I get “Sign In Failed” when I can see all of my information come up in the upper right hand corner. Anyone else experiencing this?
So now that the store has updated how do we get our Dark Souls 2 preorder DLC? It’s not in the downloads list and redownloading does nothing; this is the last time I will do anything digital; much less preorder. This makes me lose trust in anything sony claims they will provide.
The weekly update being 2 days late is pretty bad… but what’s much worse is the total lack of communication here on the official site. There are plenty of people who don’t use twitter, so posting updates on twitter is not an effective situation. In the future, when the update is going to be late or delayed for whatever reason, please communicate here on the site, whether that’s a blog entry or simply a post on the Playstation Plus blog to let us know what’s happening. Even if that update is as simple as “We’re experiencing unforeseen technical difficulties, and while we don’t yet have a time we can guarantee the blog we’ll go live, we’ll check in with the community and leave another update in 12 hours time. Hopefully we’ll have more concrete information regarding the update at that time.”
It’s not rocket science, and the total lack of information and communication here on this site regarding the 2-day delay is pretty inexcusable.
I wanted to buy the digital version of MGS:GZ but no preorder on the store probably means no preorder content. Guess I will go to Amazon and get the disc version…… but would much rather buy off the store!!!!!
Since is has been confirmed that there will be a digital version of final fantasy x/x2 hd for ps3 on the PlayStation store why is there no option to pre order it? I have been trying to get an answer for a while can I please get one now.
Also like many we don’t appreciate the lack of information not everyone uses twitter we come to the blog for store updates plus updates etc and to not get updates regarding store problem son the blog seems just irresponsible
@128 – Welcome to my world. I bought DS2 on the 10th. So I literally missed it by hours, even though the game didn’t even come out till after the promotion started. They did this to me with GTA5 and CoD: Ghosts. So that’s $30 they’ve jipped me out of. Never pre-ordering day-1 digitals again.
Leaving aside the lateness of the update, the lack of MGSV pre-order on the PS4 and the general failure of communication towards us (your customers) about the problems you guys were facing, now we cannot even log in to the store. Jeez, you really are facing some problems, huh?
Store updates, doesn’t matter cause PSN doesn’t even work i can only sign in. Can’t play nothing online cause psn is being dumb… I’m just getting completely frustrated. I don’t have PS+ so I can’t sign in and play with my friends… literally as I type this I’ve been for the last hour trying to get psn just to run properly. This is just pathetic service now.
Tuesday at 2PM Pacific? How about the time the release is supposed to come out at midnight? That seems a little more acceptable. Or maybe I should bring my money to other services…
The next time the store takes this long to update, can you please give us status updates every few hours or so? Even if it is just saying “Problem persists,” or something like that just so we are in the loop. I don’t mind the wait if there is a good reason, but being left hanging became irritating. It’s like telling a friend you are heading over in an hour, but you end up going shopping/running errands turning the 1 hour into 4.
Sadly due to the ps3 version of MGS5 Ground Zeroes being cheaper digitally on ps3 than on ps4 will automatically make me cancel my amazon preorder for this game on ps4.
I don’t know who comes up with these ideas but goodness gracious. Either way i’m glad i found this info out in due time.
I’ll pick Ground Zeroes in about a month when is under $20 at game stop, it’s so sad you guys do this, I would much rather give the money to Kojima but you guys make it extremely difficult to support the game developers, make it $20 on ps4 and i’ll buy it on release day.
Please communicate better with the community when these problems occur.
The twitter account said there’d be updates, then went silent completely for a day.
Even if the news is just “we’re having technical trouble with the server” or something, it would be far far better to hear from sony, then to be left in the dark for 2 whole days.
I’m sure you did your best to get this done, but please don’t ignore the community so much and keep us in the dark.
My first pre-order on psn and it was a bad experience… I wish I would have waited and get the $10 since I didn’t get the pre-order bonus. I would be nice if they compesated us with the $10.
#139 – The PS4 version is 1080p 60 fps while the PS3 version is 720p 30 fps. Might be why it costs a little more. So if you’re into eye-candy I’d stick with the ps4 version.
Sadly nothing interesting for me for ps3…well except dark souls 2 but i was looking to get the Black Armor Edition though. Any chance you guys will be putting that on psn?
No fair! That $10 credit was just enough to get me paying full price for Dark Souls 2! Goodbye, money!
@97 yes that’s exactly what i’d like to know.

I pre-purchased Second Son o 3/7. Any chance to have CS include me in the 3/11 promo?

Thanks for Lone survivor.
Grace, there is a spelling mistake, “Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zereos” should be “Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes”.
Hah, good catch. Surprised I missed that one!
