PS4 Games in 2014: The Ultimate List

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen a ton of new PS4 game announcements — so many that we challenged ourselves to build a list of all known PS4 games scheduled to release in North America in 2014. You’ll find our initial findings below. Of course, the usual caveats apply here: schedules can shift and plans can change. • I hope KUF:2 comes out later this year . . . I’m waiting for . . . Tom Clancy: The Division – Kingdom Under Fire 2 – The Evil Within – Stardew Valley – Destiny

  • There was no release date for everybody gone to the rapture, am i right. cant wait for this to come out. Looks really good

  • WOW. Such an overwhelming list! So many great indie games, so bunch of big AAA games that AREN’T just a rehash of what’s already out there. I have to stop looking at the list because I’m getting panicky, I need a paper bag, and I know I’m going to end up beating the pulp out of my wallet this year. But I don’t care. It’ll be worth it.

    Sony, you absolutely rock.

  • Sony, we NEED a Ps Vita list.
We’re starting to lose our fate on it.
    I’m serious….

    Diablo 3 would be awesome.

  • The Last Guardian Please

  • Great list! I only wish you would’ve put dates on games that have release dates.

  • Excellent! Can we get a list for Vita as well? Even if it short ;).

Also, I would like to put in a plug to get wish list support into the store.

  • Lily Bergamo is missing

    • Announced, but I believe not technically announced for N. America at this point…we’ll keep an eye on it!

  • Don’t know why you’ve got Cosmic Star Heroine listed as “TBA” when they have explicitly said on the Kickstarter page they’ve got a December 2014 date…

  • Great list! Didn’t notice “Deep Down”, Lily Bergamo, mad max, Uncharted 4,Final Fantasy 7 Kingdom hearts 3 that appeared at E3, is because they don’t have a release date?

    • Mad Max is on there for TBA 2014…as for the rest, not confirmed for 2014 at this point. If they are later, we’ll add them!

  • Final Fantasy XV and Ys VIII please ;__;

  • Awesome list!! I think Batman: Arkham Knight was confirmed for October 14, 2014 release date…all the stores have that release date. Hopefully The Division comes out at the end of the year but if it does not we still going to have Destiny!

  • I could be wrong but I think Destiny is set for fall, just the Beta is summer.

  • Whats up with DriveClub with the “#”

  • This is one great list… I was hoping Lily Bergamo would be in it so I would know when it would come out…but GREAT LIST

  • how about Battlefield Bad Company 1 & 2 ?????

  • any chances Minecraft will release for ps4 this month?

  • Watch Dogs, Dragon Age, Lego Hobbit, Witness, TESO: all highly anticipated by me. But, I’ll probably still be playing Dark Souls 2 for months.

  • i need a release date for diablo 3 damn

  • Hey is WWE 2K14 official yet? I know it’s a yearly sports game but is this just an assumption or can we say it is confirmed for PS4 yet?

  • Huge list of games

Could links be added for videos or screenshots for the games on the list ?

  • Shouldn’t No Man’s Sky be on this list? I’m so pumped about that one.

  • This is a Greater List. You should have this list pin at the top of the site as a permanent post of the blog

NOW you have to do one for vita and one for import games and ports games suggestions for vita and ps4. Because there are grate games like Onigiri for ps4 or legends of heroes, tales of heart R and others games for vita that will be nice to have on America. The port list will be nice because there are some games from psp that never arrive to America and will be nice have a thread a both that.

Even more that the share site despair from the blog

Will be pretty nice if you manage to make all this lists on one and you can hide and unhide the different categories

  • My only suggestion for improvement to this list would be to include release type: Digital, Disc or Both. That would be handy to know if people want to pre-order retail releases at their local game store.

Other than that… it’s nice to see ~120 games listed for 2014 BEFORE we learn about what else is on tap when E3 rolls around in a couple of months.

I, for one, am looking forward to playing Planetside 2 on the PS4. I love the PC version, but it’s not well-optimized for my TV and can’t be easily played with a controller. Why Sony doesn’t make a bigger deal about this game is beyond me — it’s one of the best multiplayer shooters out there, and it’s free to play without that nasty pay to win tendency so many F2P shooters exhibit!

  • I can’t wait for Watch_Dogs, Destiny, The Witness, Hyper Light Drifter, Dying Light, Planetside 2, and Transistor.

Did I mention TRANSISTOR? Really psyched for that.

  • A hundred games (more or less) and not a single system-seller.

    Wake me up in 2015.

  • this makes me happy

  • Planetside 2 soon plzzzz:D

  • Lots of progress here. Thanks for this list.

I’m not sure you can do anything about it, but where are the RPG’s (not MMORPG)? Only one I saw on there was Dragon Age Inquisition. Playstation has always had a solid RPG foundation and I’m just not seeing it yet. Are there some on here I’m not seeing or knowing about?

There are some other great games on here I’m looking forwards to though. Watchdogs and Destiny is a lock for me for sure.

  • Only about 5 games interest me, this list is very poor. Whatever happened to the SOCOM series sony? I would pay top dollar for a socom 2 hd or a proper socom 5. Good thing H-Hour is making up for your wrong doings and they will get all my support and cash

  • People really expect Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts III and The Last Guardian to be out this year? Don’t be delusional, those games won’t be out until the PS5 comes out.

  • Going to buy InFAMOUS Second Son next week! Most of the PlayStation exclusives are the best.
I also want more Last of Us, but knowing the Joel and Ellie story is kinda a closed chapter, it’s hard to make a follow up. So i would rather want Naughty Dog to do the next Uncharted game and then some Crash Bandicoot!!!

  • May have already been said but:

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
    Gone Home
    The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

  • It would be great if the list was broken out by Retail / PSN

  • 2014 is the best game lineup I’ve seen in years! Awesome, Playstation!

  • Still not seeing any good games worthy of buying a PS4 for.

Any turn based JRPGs with the production values of classic Final Fantasy and Xenogears? I used to buy playstation consoles for turn based JRPGs, but now that they’re almost non-existent on console aside from South Park and FFXHD port, so without turn based JRPGs for PS4, why the hell should I buy a crappy PS4?

  • I’m sad knowing that there will probably never me another NCAA Football game. I would have loved to see how it would look on PS4. They left Madden off of the list.

  • To be fair, Hyper Light Drifter could come out in 2015, but 2014 would be awesome.

  • When can we expect some actual Final Fantasy games on PS4. I never owned a PS3 so I kinda wanna play these games from my days back in PS2. or moreover what game im really looking forward to – Monster Hunter on PS4 if it ever gets made

  • An impressive list for the uniformed that don’t never know what’s going on. This is why I already knew that incrdible games were on there way. of course I read that’s how I find out what’s coming out.

  • You forgot Destiny released on the 9/9 2014 So a fall release date

  • @ bakemeadoughnut: Destiny is coming out September 9th, which is still Summer. Very late Summer, but Summer nonetheless.

@ article: It may have been pushed back, but Soul Saga: Episode 1 should be on this list somewhere, under TBA if nothing else. Should be able to reach out to DisasterCake easily enough to confirm his plans.

  • Make a list for Vita!!!

  • Sid, what happened to Project CARS by Slightly Mad Studios? Isn’t it pegged for 2014?!?

  • Where in the world is Deep Down? Or did I miss it?

  • You forgot No Man’s Sky by Hello Games?

  • isn’t puddy squad already out

  • it would be nice if we had actual new games and not the same old boring ones i hope as the playstationdev community we and developers can come up with new games never imaginable the playstation 4 is a power console and i hate to see it go to waste along with playstation vita

  • Guys, you forgot Project Cars : out in november 2014.
    http://www.wmdportal.com/projectnews/project-cars-meet-project-morpheus/

  • Can you seperate the indie games from the actual games. If there are some good full length games coming out I might buy a PS4.
