PS4 Games in 2014: The Ultimate List

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen a ton of new PS4 game announcements — so many that we challenged ourselves to build a list of all known PS4 games scheduled to release in North America in 2014. You’ll find our initial findings below. Of course, the usual caveats apply here: schedules can shift and plans can change. • Yo me compre la PlayStation 4 solamente por los juegos ( Kingdom Hearts 3 y Final Fantasy XV ) y por los que quizás salgan después pero en especial por esos 2 y no se sabe la fecha de salida?…..

  • Were is skate-4 EA ? :(

  • where is skate-4 EA? :( *

  • despite the real good NFS Rivals, still there’s no other choice for a driving game at the moment, especially for the simulation fans, so as many others I’m really looking forward to Driveclub, GT7 and Project Cars :)

also Rime, Destiny and Child of Light are in my focus

too bad is not planned on the RPG side a single player version of Skyrim (20 million copies should have been a good start to try that path in next gen), but Dragon Age makes me wonder if it will be a good substitute. on that side, in the past I really liked Kingdoms of Amalur, but still can’t figure out if is due somethin similar for this year or ever

must say also that on indie area the standards are all high quality, so really excited about them!

  • Games also releasing PS3, old PS3 games ported to PS4, old PC/Other games ported to PS4, and nary a japanese title in sight. Looks like the Dreamcast will retain the crown of being the only system with games worth its while year one! :)

  • Uh, what about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt?

  • Come on, i was expecting Uncharted this year!!! Buah

  • @343 Transistor is turn based. It’s not an action rpg at all. What did you see the word action and assume? They’ve specifically said it is not a traditional action rpg.

  • Watch_Dogs
    Wolfenstein : New Order
    Destiny
    Rocketbirds 2 : Evolution
    The Witness
    Assassin’s Creed Unity
    Batman : Arkham Knight
    The Order 1886
    Transistor
    Hohokum
    Evolve
    Hyper Light Drifter
Valiant Hearts : The Great War

i’ll for sure get those on PS4. Plenty to play really big and small games.
Nevermind any possible surprises in store at E3. I hope for surprises at least.

  • Right now, Batman: Arkham Knight, Transistor, and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number are my most anticipated games on this list. I need them in my life ASAP.

  • Should The Last of Us for the PS4 be on the list?

  • Where are the PS+ Update for April?

  • How could you have forgotten The WItcher 3 : Wild Hunt… ?

  • OMG… So many Indies! SONY, I don’t want games that I can play on my smartphone. We need proper big games on PS4!

  • The Golf Club Game needs to be added to the list. It is slated for Spring 2014. Seeing as there is no Tiger Woods game this year, The Golf Club Game is where it’s at for golf fans.

  • Anyone know new tennis game ? Grand Slam 3 maybe ?

  • How about a list of CD’s I can play? Or what I can stream via PC, like any new television can do?

  • This should be a permanent and constantly updated part of the Playstation Blog, like a link on the sidebar. Also, you should do one for Vita and PS3. I know it takes time and work, but its doable. IGN has a list of upcoming game for all platforms, easily accessed in their website.

  • SO MANY INDIES!! how about some non-indie games for once , you know like the good old days. not this cheap filler crap that looks like it was from the famicom (trying not to complain but Ive had my fill of indies ).

  • And what about Resident Evil 7? Pretty sure it releases this year as well.

  • So I recently bought the PS4, inFamous Second Son was the one which pushed me over, and I have no regrets. Psyched to see the list….oddly I am excited for Transistor

  • No disrespect about darn time. Now you guys need to get the beta testing done so we can play PS1, PS2, and PS3 games.

  • I’m surprised that Madden is on there and I believe Batman: Arkham Knight comes out on October 14th. EA Sports UFC comes sometime in May. Good list though

  • With a few exceptions, most of the games I plan on getting are just to tide me over until Destiny and The Division. Fairly sure those will be my second career, or at least my wife may feel that way.

  • I’m looking forward to most of the titles on this list mainly: Destiny, Shadow of Mordor, Planetside 2, The Division and Dying Light.

  • Erm, Putty Squad released early in March :)

  • NBA Live 2015?

  • I’m really excited that many of these games are confirmed or strongly rumored to be headed to PS Vita:

    Dead Nation
Don’t Starve (Klei “investigating” Vita version)
Towerfall Ascension (MMGs said it’s “possible in the future”)
    1001 Spikes
    Cel Damage HD
    Lego The Hobbit
Mercenary Kings (Tribute commented on EU Blog that they saw potential vita version)
    MLB 14: The Show
    Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty
Secret Ponchos (Developer has said they would look into vita version after PS4 version completed)
    Switch Galaxy Ultra
    The Swapper
    Counterspy
    Final Horizon
    Galak-Z: The Dimensional
    Hell divers
    Pavilion
    Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate
    Race the Sun
    Velocity 2X
    Hotline Miami 2
    Rocketbirds 2
    Hyper Light Drifter
    Assault Android Cactus
    Aztez
    Energy Hook
    forma.8
    Foul Play
    Hand of Fate
    Hohokum
    Home
    Legend of Raven
    Minecraft
N++ (Metanet says they’ll look into vita version after PS4 version completed)

  • Nuclear Throne
    Road Not Taken
    Rogue Legacy
    Samurai Gunn
    Shantae: Half-Genie Hero
    Starbound
    The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
    Volume

And this loooooong list doesn’t even include announced and unannounced AAA games or Vita exclusives. Makes me very happy to be a Vita owner!

  • Wow, that long list and I can’t see any JRPG. It was one of the genres that help the most to make the PS2 the greatest console ever. Even the PS3 is getting more JRPGs.

  • For those interested in JRPGs, there are a few games on this list worth checking out. Although they were not developed in Japan, Cosmic Star Heroine, Pier Solar and the Great Architects and Child of Light are effectively JRPGs. Transistor apparently also has RPG influences, though I am less certain of that. More will come with time. But I can’t remember having even 3 RPGs within a year of a console launch.

  • pretty dry year, IMO…

  • when gta5 will comm out on plastation 4 do you have a date y bye the plastation 4 too play gta5 an they dont do it for it

  • What about Uncharted 4

  • Didn’t sledgehammer announce they will be making the next COD? Guess there’s no in stone date for it yet?

  • Everybodys gone to the Rapture?

  • great list glad to be a ps4 owner cant wait for destiny!

  • WHERE’S UNCHARTED!!!!!!

  • Will there be a PS4 port of Rain? I really wanted to play that game but, ended up selling my PS3 for a PS4.

  • Oh sucks that Final Fantasy is not on here. That’s my number one. Even so spotted a few games on the list to keep me occupied until then :)

  • Any news on when Witcher 3 comes out?

  • Yay for Volume! Very excited for that game. :D

  • im wondering where is ea sports hockey games at

  • Know this isn’t relevant, but the PS Now comments are closed. Few questions about it:

    1) Don’t own a PS3; should I wait for PS Now, or get one cheap now, as well as a PS4?

    2) Will games like the Arkham, Transformer Cybertron, Uncharted and Assassins Creed be on their in time?

    3) How long do you keep the games with rental?

P.S : Should I make a new account with new name?

  • Did you not add Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag on purpose?

  • i really hope final fantasy XV comes out soon… im still hopeful we have underestimated the development.. i hope at e3 they surprise us and say its coming october or november 2014.. please let it be at the sony conference

  • darrylhumsgopher

Question about 2013. Were there any games that came out aside from KZ:SF and Knack? If so, maybe a list like that would be helpful and easy to put together? Thanks!

  • Already got Infamous, Batman is my most anticipated. Also curious about The Order 1886, love third person shooters that are story driven.

  • Much indies with quality of tablet proportions., take for example defense zone 2, a game that you can play for months on a tablet…only a few really interesting games and missing outstanding stuff like the last of us, gta 5, etc etc Better stick to your ps3 if you have one, Sony is putting a lot of excellent stuff for free there on ps plus. Up until now only the multi platform titles where interesting. The exclusives where not outstanding, and that is an understatement…
