Also , Ids and passwords can get confusing. Should only need one. (They need to change that).

Problems that I want to be addressed when it comes to updating the SONY Playstation 4 entertainment system in 2014.
1). A customized homescreen background with either pictures or a custom screensaver to the users liking.(Why not custom theme music too?)
2). A low power option for the controller when battery is low and charging isn’t an option. It shouldn’t vibrate, the light should either dim or simply turn off, and sounds from the controller itself should be quieter or non-existent when this option is enabled.
3). Whats up with the apps? They are so limited. Why can’t we have a quicker way to Youtube, Facebook, Sportscenter, UFC, etc…..
4). Make the touchpad do “more”, in terms of navigating menus and bringing up alternate screens.
5). When pressing options on a game window in the homescreen, there is an option for delete. Sometimes a child or a clumsy friend hits this button deleting the game and all the hard earned saves. Put the option to delete game elsewhere please.
Other than those 5 things I have had a delightful experience playing Battlefield4, Call Of Duty, and all the free games.

@82: Thank you for being an a$$hole…just like always. Maybe somebody will go and enjoy that deal. I pay 3.5% Tax. That is nothing. Many people pay 7%. That is like 2 bucks for $25. Maybe some people want the physical copy because they don’t have space in their hard driver. Of course, you are the #1 jerk here. I understand that you can’t talk like a normal person and you need to trash others for your lack of communication.

Anyway, I never said or even implied that the sale was “special”.
As for “parity in pricing”, well, first of all, most people have a misunderstanding of the word parity, as evidenced by their belief that downloaded games should be LESS expensive than discs, but therein lies another flawed premise. Digital games are not without the overhead expenses of their physical counterparts. They simply have DIFFERENT overhead expenses. Why people have a problem understanding this, I don’t know, and maybe I don’t want to know. I’ve already experienced so much disappointment in my fellow gamers that I’m not sure if I can stomach much more. It’s getting bad. The ignorance is off the charts.
And I know some people prefer discs over downloads. I’m one of them! But that doesn’t mean that digital versions don’t have their perks, because they most certainly do.
Benefits of digital:
– 2 copies for the price of 1 (PSN specific)
– No waiting in line, burning up gas, or dealing with obnoxious idiots in public. Buy the game at home sitting in your underwear. Or naked. :)
– Never be faced with “Out of Stock”.
– Instant delivery. No waiting for the UPS man.
– Less clutter piling up on your shelf.
– Less wear & tear on your disc drive. (Use of digital vs. disc should be balanced for best results.)
– Own the game forever. (Comes in handy when you realize you want to play it again after you’ve gotten rid of it, without having to hunt down another copy. Simply re-download.)
– Can’t be lost or stolen. Could be forgotten, but that depends on the individual.
– Can’t be stepped on, scribbled on, snapped in a fit of rage, mistaken for a frisbee by your canine pal, or mistaken as a coaster by your out-of-touch in-laws.
– Availability of older titles that are OUT OF PRINT, physically, for much less money than what some greedy bastard on eBay is asking for. There are numerous examples of this in the PlayStation Store right now!

Most of your points are worth looking into, but this one is kinda ridiculous. First off, the delete option is in the Options menu, as you say. It’s really hard to get there accidentally, as the Options button isn’t very easy to hit on accident. Secondly, if they somehow then decide to purposefully both hit the X button while highlighting “Delete” then accept that choice a second time, it’s no longer an accident, and that’s not really something Sony needs to fix. Where the heck else would they put a “Delete” option other than the “Options” menu? Burying it way under the “Settings” menu or somewhere similar would be frustratingly annoying, just for the sake of protecting a few people from the idiocy of their peers.
Secondly, the saves are in the Save File Management, similar to the PS3. Deleting an application does not affect the save files in any way, shape or form. So again, not something that needs fixing.
Benefits of discs:
– Takes up less space on your HDD.
– Can be lent to friends.
– Can be sold or traded in to recoup some of the cost invested. Doubly valuable if the game in question failed to impress you.
– (For collectors) Something tangible to have in hand. Something to show for your money. Includes artwork and other potentially desirable materials not available with the digital version.
– (For the paranoid) The feeling that you actually own the game. No threat of evil corporate ninjas suddenly wisking away your “property” without warning while laughing about it behind your back. Filthy oppressors! ;)
– Usually less expensive after the initial “freshness” wears off.
Hmm… that’s all I can think of for now. Feel free to add to these lists if you choose.

I for one feel that our flash sale was vastly superior to EU’s easter sale. So what if they had AAA titles, they were only marginally discounted. I was able to pick up when vikings attack, Tokyo Jungle, and Braid (just in time as I just 100%ed Fez last night) for $1 each: $40 worth of games for $3. Besides, we get way more sales on average than EU; plus a blog admin on the flash sale post even hinted that “a little bird” said we could expect a AAA sale in the next two weeks or so. Be patient people, the sale you are hoping for could only be a week away. If you’re impatient you could always just buy it now at full price. Psn sales are about the luck of the draw, not what you personally desire being given to you right when you want it. Personal disinterest doesn’t negate a sale’s value, even if I had already owned all the games I picked up last weekend I would still appreciate the sentiment of sony throwing a 80%-90+% sale at us.
I hope they switch up the vita’s permanent IGC soon. It’s been gravity rush and uncharted for ages, and it’s been ages since they last hinted that they were going to change them.

the flash sale was great. why the hell are ppl mad over it because it was not AAA games ? even if it was Retail games they most likely would of been old ones aswell. why not just go to amazon and buy them dirt cheap used. if you want it in Digital form, then keep on waiting.

Thank you for making all of those PS One classics and PSP games playable on my Vita! I’ve been playing Crash and Spyro on it non-stop.
