  • I notice some of the non mini PSP games (like the persona ones) on the sales list say PS3/Vita/PSP surely that doesn’t mean we can play those on our ps3 right?

  • Vinland_Krauser

    Store issue:

“Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate – Complete DOA5 Costume Set”

Purchasing it only adds the following DLC to your download list:

“Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate – Ayane’s Private Paradise”

Ayane DLC’s price is listed $2,99, but you still get charged $10,00 for the costume set. E-mail receipt shows the Costume Set as bought, not Ayane.

  • @37, shibbydibbybibby- Total digital size is approx. 5.4 gigs. The DLC approx. 2 gigs. They aren’t listed in the store since this Edition includes them; so they won’t be sold separately. Bear in mind, not All available DLC was developed for the Vita.

In short, the cart is about 3.6 gigs & has a voucher for the DLC. You CAN choose Not to install the DLC however… tho this may create Cross-Save issues. Just review your Download List & select which ye want.

BTW Vault Hunters, patch 1.04 @ 54mb is up for the Vita! (stability fixes)

Cross-Save patch not quite ready yet.

  • Glad i’m reading the comments every week… i’m going to wait till the DOA5 costume bug is fixed before getting any…

  • Why is there no season pass on the psn store fore the walking dead season 2? I wanted to purchase it but it’s not on there :/ I bought the first one before >_< did it get taken off?

  • Hmm, I don’t think Persona 3 portable is for PS3 guys.

  • Two things:

    1) ALL SKULLGIRLS PLAYERS (or prospective players; anyone, really), GET THE DLC CHARACTER BIG BAND WHILE HE IS STILL FREE!!! All the funded new characters are available free-for-keeps for three months’ time after their launch on their respective platforms. Go git’m!

    2) LOVE the new sales charts! No more cross-referencing the Plus lists with the Sales section, and much easier to parse out the items that don’t fall under the both.

  • Oh gods, dem PSP sales! That’s the sorta price I’ve waited on for switching to digital. Might hafta up from an 8GB SD card.

While I’m sure it’s an error, I’d loveloveLOVE to be able to play PSP titles from my PS3.

  • JayDrm you must have really lost youre mind after seeing that sale.

  • Excuse me, is Persona 2: Innocent Sin playable on PS3?

  • Can we play Persona 3 Portable on PS3? This is so confusing XD

  • i think they may haved messed up on some of the listings. i dont thing alot of those are for the ps3 aswell….

  • + Boyanime010 you have never been able to play psp games on the PS3. Some titles like God of War Chains of Olympus have been re-released in PS3 format. You can download PSP games to your PS3 then transfer them over to your psp/psvita. When it says ps3 compatible that is a bit misleading they just mean you can download it to your and transfer it to you psp/psvita.

  • i cant play walking dead season 2 episode 3, it says coming soon. I live in the USA

  • I also had the same error with the DOA5 Complete Costume Set that others have been reporting. I bought the complete DOA5 set, the casual collection volume 1, and Tina’s nurse costume all at the same time and I have an email receipt that states as such. The other items downloaded fine but instead of downloading the DOA5 Complete set, it downloaded Ayane’s Private Paradise video instead. Something to possibly take of note as well is the PSN store crashed and reset my PS3 after I made the purchase, but before I could download anything. Before if I tried to go back to the DOA5 Complete Costume set listing in the store and clicked download, it would link to the same Ayane video. However, going to the same listing now shows Add to Cart for $10. I checked my download history and it still shows the Ayane video instead of the DOA5 Complete Set. I tried to call customer support over the phone and the person basically had no idea about what to do for this situation.

  • Vinland_Krauser

    @Boyanime010

From the list up there, every game from “Class of Heroes” down to “Yggdra Union” won’t work on PS3.

  • oversevethousand

For those of you dismissing Soul Sacrifice Delta as a mere “upgrade,” I implore you to do some research into what it’s added. Here are just some of the things I’ve discovered in less than a few hours, and I’ve barely scratched the surface here:

    – Additions to the original game’s story.
    – Ten new “Fellow Sorcerers,” complete with stories of their own, bringing the total to fifteen.
    – All the old Avalon Pacts (the main part of the first game, really) have been replaced with completely new Pacts, working in the new archfiends of Delta and the DLC archfiends of Soul Sacrifice earlier into the game.
    – Tons of new monsters (no more fighting the same grunts over and over!), archfiends, and offerings.
    – A plethora of new features and modes: Being able to choose your faction, Carnatux’s bazaar (complete with debt pacts), a maze to explore, more detailed character customization, and much more.

This is in fact a sequel, people, make no mistake. This was marketed poorly, sure, but this is absolutely worth the purchase if you liked the first one.

  • Im really offended you guys refuse to address the remaining PSP and PSOne games that are not playable on the Vita.

They were made available a few weeks ago for a few days and now they are gone again. God forbid you give your paying customers access to their merchandise. Cowards

  • @53, So the Borderlands 2 Vita DLCs are separate from the main game. If you buy the physical version, the main game is on the card but the DLCs are download voucher. Are the DLCs cross-buy, in that your Vita DLCs can also work on PS3 main game without buying the DLCs again? Thanks.

  • awwww, i was eager for a discount on a certain game
Well, cant be helped, ill have to buy it the way it is, add some cash to my account and then buy the other one.

Nothing interesting for me this week, well maybe Dishonored

  • Good that plaforms are listed now, but it is not complete on all tables. (And there’s still that “Regular Price” being “Sale Price” confusion on some tables that need to be fixed.) However it seems someone just got lazy and copy/paste “PS3/Vita/PSP” on all PSP games.

By the way, if you go to the web store and look at your download list, all Vita and PSP games are shown as “PLAYABLE ON” PS3. This is too confusing. Obviously they are just “Downloadable To” rather than “Playable On”. This need to be fixed on the web store.

  • I got screwed on the DoA costume set too. How the hell do I get what I paid for, Sony? You’d think when they fixed it, I would have a credit or something but now it is fixed for others and I got nothing. Advice?

  • DoombringerZero

I talked to online support about the DoA5U Costume set they said that i should be issued a refund in a week so i guess i’ll have to buy the pack again now since the sale will be over by then

  • @DoombringerZero Thanks for the heads up, that’s some B.S. that would be nice if they’d fix automatically.

  • Did anyone get the DOA5 costumes or is there still an issue?

  • While this is still a nice update, I must go cinemasins on this.

    1. I don’t care if it’s only $25, I’m not paying for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. IGC or get out.
    2. Thief at $40 on PS3 AND PS4. Nice job ripping off PS3 users.
    3. Tomb Raider on PS3 is now 13.49 for PS+ users when not too long ago it was free.
    4. Drakengard 3 required you to preorder just to get the Japanese voice over DLC that other games have built-in.
    5. The first 4 sins were from Square-Enix. Square-Enix is a jerk to consumers.
    6. Free-to-Play sale.
    7. Wasn’t aware you could play Knights in the Nightmare and other PSP RPGs on PS3.

  • Having trouble with the DOA5 Ultimate Costume Set for $10.00. I bought it and instead of the costumes I got ayanes private paradise. Now going back to the store to see if it has been fixed I’m now seeing it as if I ad never bought the set. But yet I still have the transaction history mark and the charge for it. Some help would be appreciated.

  • Lightning Returns is very tempting at 25 dollars

  • Just gonna pick up my free Walking Dead episode. Nothing else I really care about.

  • Good Update. Still wish there was more PS4 releases..and I mean real PS4 releases.

  • Walking Dead season 2 episode 3 was so good. Hate that we will probably have to wait until July for the next part

  • I know the reviews for Borderlands 2 Vita have been hit-or-miss, but I want to testify that I think the game is fantastic! I’ve played the first couple hours of it and it looks and plays great. I own some trigger grips for the Vita and it’s almost as if they were created especially for this game. The control scheme (despite what the reviews say) works perfectly, as I have not had to change anything around. Aiming is good…frame rate has been fine. If you were going to buy this game prior to the reviews, but paused because of them, I implore you to ignore them and BUY THIS GAME!!!

  • Great sale guys, but one thing:

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona and Persona 2: Innocent Sin are likely the PSP remakes which were released several years ago and not the original PSX versions, right? That being said, you might want to take “PS3” off of the compatibility list of those two games. Unless we can play PSP games on PS3 now. That would be nice! Hint hint.

  • e: Ah, yes, and P3P as well. Didn’t see it was P3P and not Fes… which would still be a compatibility issue, but whatever!

  • I am still on the fence on Borderlands 2 Vita. My main concern (apart from wanting only physical version and not the restrictive single-account-only digital version) is that it only supports 2 player co-op. I still haven’t found an answer to the key question: how are we supposed to defeat the many raid bosses in BL2 with just 2 players? Presumably these bosses are still as tankish and all the good equipments like The Bee and Conference Call are still nerfed on the Vita?

  • PrimeroIncognito

    @ materia101

In response to some of your numbered points-

    2. If someone would have bought Thief yesterday, it would have been $59.99. If they buy it today, it’s $39.99. Where’s this “ripoff” you speak of? (BTW: “Ripoff” refers to when you didn’t get what you paid for, usually due to being conned. It does not refer to something simply being overpriced, which itself is subjective.)

    3. New Plus subscribers (or even current subs) who missed out on the IGC download, if interested, get a great deal on the game. Having the game on sale this week also does not take up space from any other game having a sale. It’s either positive or neutral to all of us. There’s no problem here.

    6. Same as #2. These items were more expensive yesterday than they are today and you weren’t complaining then, so why now? Everyone knows that “Free-To-Play” just means it’s free to get started and enjoy the base experience, but monetary investment is required if one wishes to dig deeper and get the most out of it. So, why do people keep pretending like they don’t know this? Just to have something to complain about?

It’s always funny when someone plays the “corporate greed” angle DURING A SALE. Kinda contradictory, don’t ya think?

  • MORE PSP SALES.
    Easy Money.

    Skullgirls, Enh.

Almost went ahead an bought Pesona 3, but too similar to 4.

  • Wow!! I see about 3 or 4 more I would buy this week but since the ps1 psp give to us then take back in two days bs sony pulled the other week let them set there and rot for all I care.
Gamestop said they need my money and they would give me good used sails and not take them back.
Sony fix this or I am about done with you. Everyone else should be done with you also.
Pulling a I could care less about the gamers stunt like that.

  • Incognito is kind of ironic, no?

How do I always get this lucky.

  • I’m surprised no ones said anything about Serious Sam!

  • So any games this week,, PrimeroIncognito?

    Maybe he has a point.

  • PrimeroIncognito

    @ Rez

“Incognito” is a nickname someone else gave me.

No games for me this week, but I’m looking forward to R-Type Dimensions next week, and hopefully another table for Pinball Arcade. :)

  • @68, AG_Awesome- It was a glitch. The licensing varies by region, hence why compatibility exists for our EU friends cuz the licensing for said titles stipulate that these PS1/PSP titles can be sold There.

In the US these license/contracts expired & Sony won’t pay for the renewal or the publishers are asking for too much or the IPs within those games do NOT want it to be sold again. These things happen, we can’t always get what we want.

@85, Gummy- Don’t worry, the game is balanced due to the Vita having less enemies. 2 player co-op is fine, 4 would be overkill & yes, this may drop the framerates some more. It’s unclear if the DLC is cross-buy, tho the Vita game is so fun… I hope that’s not stopping you. Additionally, there are reports that Legendary loot drops alot on the Vita. Yes, please. And the Golden Keys for the PS3 work on the Vita too. (8

  • #93 that is the way I fill about sony after that happened. If they can not fix this they can not always get what they want also.
    My money or support.

  • I’d post something annoyed about buying Persona 3 Portable for $10 on the last sale when it’s $5 this week, but then I realized I would have paid $40 for this game. Awesome deal and love how frequently that series gets discounts.

  • @94, fantasy- Yep, vote w/ your wallet. Tho let’s be clear, Sony cares more about their current gen library for the PS4 & the Vita (& rightfully so).

  • been waiting on a good lightning returns price drop, hopefully x-2 doesnt take to long to get through before i can start it.

  • #96. To be real clear about it sony cares more about money then there gamers that got them where they are. This is just one of the ways that they have shown it.

  • @93, Thanks for the info on BL2 Vita. I heard there are less enemies but more waves of them (probably due to frame rate issue if it had more on the screen at the same time), so it’s kinda back to the same. Still a bit unsure about the raid bosses, since they are the same level and power regardless how many players are in your party and which playthrough you are on.

Regardless, I will be getting it, just don’t know how. I prefer physical, since I want to play it on different accounts. But since the DLCs are voucher code, the DLCs are locked to one account (and it must be the same region). That hugely limits how I am going to buy and play it. If the DLCs are cross-buy (I already have them on PS3), at least it opens up some options. Even if not cross-buy, apparently the Vita DLCs are not available for purchase separately? I can’t pay extra for them :(

Does the base game on Vita without DLCs level cap at 50, just like the PS3 version, and further DLCs are needed to increase the cap?

  • You listed a bunch of PSP games as “PS3/Vita/PSP”
does that mean you FINALLY let us play PSP games on PS3 using the PSP emulator you use for minis?
