So far it’s like Sleeping Dogs meets Assassin’s Creed, which is AWESOME!
Honestly, I was expecting much more than this. 7.6/10 tops. Hacking the city is fun, but that’s it. It’s at par with Second Son.

This is the reason I got a PS4 at launch (even with the game being delayed, which turned out great in hindsight).
Just need time to speed up so I can get out of work and play it.
This is not the same game I saw at the e3 2012 press conference. Ubisoft are liars. The Division will probably go down the same route.
This game should be half price, I never asked for this downgrade. Rockstar rules.
After watching a couple of first impression videos, and hearing that the load times are abysmal on PS4, I`ll pass on this for the meantime. I`ll wait till a price drop since I can`t really justify myself buying this with a $70 price tag.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I don’t own Watch Dogs nor am I going to anytime soon.. But it has nothing to do with any reviews. It is a rare open-world game that I can finish (and that includes GTA5). They just get too open for me. Also, even though Ubisoft makes some real good games, I don’t feel that “need” to buy one because before it is even out, I am already hearing about their next two projects due out later in the year. And finally; being so close in resemblance to Assassin’s Creed play style, it subconsciously falls into the AC price point as well… which has become a $30 game due to how frequently it comes out.
i’m gonna be very angry if they release more dlc after they have been done with the season pass, if i’m crazy enough to pay 20 bucks more i want to get everything and not be forced to pay more.
Canceled my pre-order due to the fact that this went from a T rating to an M rating. Was going to play this with my teen son. Would have kept my pre-order if I could have got an answer to my questions about the nudity and if it was skip-able in the storyline. I may get this down the line when I find out more about it and it’s cheaper, but you guys lost my release buy. Please take the time to answer customer questions/concerns in the future.
Will there be a PS4 and Watch Dog bundle like in U.K.? I’m still waiting for a bundle in the U.S….
Would love to be able to play my preordered gold edition but it now does not exist in the store. $80 gone in cyber space somewhere. Hopefully it will be back when the store updates.
Picked up the collector’s edition of the game & the collector’s strategy guide. I’m lovin’ the game, It’s a hybrid of Assassin’s Creed & Grand Theft Auto V. Durin’ my time playin’ it I participated in other activities such as explorin’ the city, drinkin’ games, online hackin’, shoppin’ & the crime interventions. I’m anxious to get back home to get deeper into the story.
Now after reading about this game some more and seeing that there are only five trophy for the online portion of the game. I will purchase this soon .
I’m going to wait on this one. Will pick it up when I get my PS4!
Why does the European PSN stores list all of Watch Dog’s season pass DLC items, but none of it is on the US store? Fix this please. I paid my money just the same as the guys across the pond and I want what I paid for today if they’re getting it already. Not next week. Not 2 weeks from now. Not a month from now. Not whenever they get around to it. Today.
damn i just got this for only 12$ with gift codes i earned. also amazon has the price down to $51.97 right now instead of the full price. hope its great.

And just think, had you not eclusively promoted Transistor and Watchdogs, those of us not wanting or justifying a 1k enertainment gaming console, could have been simply fine with PS3 and Vita.

@14 LokeSTL — I only played for about an hour before work this morning, but one of the first phone conversations I listened into was someone talking about how a breast implant procedure is done, in graphic detail. Probably not a good choice for the little ones.
I’d rather Ubisoft, or any other publisher, not announce games 2 years before their release… but I am enjoying the first few hours.
Just picked up my copy about an hour ago. Waiting eagerly for work to end so I can a) watch the Habs hopefully keep the series going, and b) play me some WATCH_DOGS!

I’d just like to say that people shouldn’t set their expectations too high. I read a few reviews earlier and they all suggest that this game is pretty mediocre. That doesn’t mean it’s BAD, but ever since it’s initial announcement, Ubisoft have tried to set expectations high, implying that this was going to be a true, next-gen experience, unlike any game that came before it. Well, that doesn’t seem to be true. Of course, everyone is entitled to form their own opinion and I’m sure there are plenty of people who will love this game, but just keep in mind that it isn’t going to do anything truly new or special. It takes itself more seriously than it should and the protagonist is just a revenge-driven a-hole.
I’d love someone from Sony to explain why the PS3 version of Watch Dogs in Canada is $59.99, the same price as the US version, while the PS4 version is $69.99, which is $10 more than the PS4 version in the US. Why is that, exactly?
Last time I heard, the justification (i.e. excuse) for these price increases was because of the exchange rate, which is generally corporate speak for “we want to get more money out of you”. Let me guess, the price increase only applies to PS4 games but not PS3 games? No? Maybe it’s because a digital download of the PS4 version somehow costs more to sell than the PS3 version? No, that’s not it either. How about because you want to charge Canadians (but not Americans) more for the same game on a your new console despite the fact that the differences in the game on PS3 vs PS4 are marginal? Yeah, that sounds more likely.
But wait, I asked for someone from Sony to actually come here to explain something? Bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

SO much fun, my driving is horrid
I went to the Midnight launch yesterday (GameStop) & I bought both PS3 & PS4 copies along with they’re season pass’s & the PS4 Season Pass code worked for me, but the PS3 one ain’t working & I saw in the receipt (which has the code) that the code may not work till may 27, 2PM PST. But It’s already the 27 & it’s 7:49PM here & its still not working..
Is anyone else having problems redeaming the watch dogs season pass for ps3 got my code from gamestop

@36 Well, Sony started the trend by pricing their first party titles $10 higher in Canada due to the exchange rate, so while you are correct that this is an Ubisoft title the logic in pricing between the PS3 version and the PS4 version doesn’t make much sense. If the price difference is due to the exchange rate, then all versions of the game should be priced at the higher level. If it’s not that, they they’re basically just charging PS4 owners more for no particular reason.

Went and picked it up and spent about two hours farting around with it last night. So far I’m pretty entertained. Haven’t tackled the next main story objective yet, too distracted learning the ropes and controls with some side missions :)
So far so good. But the driving really needs help!

when are you guys going to upload the list for the free PS4 IGC for June?? Hope you give some REAL good games to take away this bittersweet flavor of spending 64 bucks on crappy dogs.
This will win some nominations come year’s end. For biggest disappointment. Ubisoft knew Watch Dogs was in major trouble when they intended to release it during the PS4/XB1 launch dates which were 8 weeks after GTA V’s record-breaking release so they delayed it in hopes of giving more time to move on from your stay in San Andreas. Well, you don’t forget such experience with GTA V, and Watch Dogs still ended up as the inferior game in all aspects.
The driving feels like a cheap PS2 arcade racing game. It’s playable but my god the slightest gas you press on the accelerator you go full throttle, cornering feels ultra stiff its hard to park your car “normally.”
Turning the traffic light hack is so stupidly scripted its not funny. You see all vehicles all of a sudden accelerate so they can crash. Typical Ubisoft stupid design if you ask me.
Dumb as bricks enemy AI. They literally will not react to you in some cases despite seeing you.
The game is literally Assassins Creed with shooting and cheap driving physics. The map is big but uninteresting despite being littered with so many of the same activities over and over.
The music, well, there isn’t a single radio station, instead you can play any song you want from your phone’s MP3 collection. This would be cool if the music is any good which it isn’t. You do get breaks once in a while in the car where the game will play un-funny news reports.
This game fell severely short of its ambitions. Ubisoft’ Montreal’s reputation continue to fall as this point. Montreal game design needs a severe kick in the butt.

Okay, wanted one more post. I officially tried one of the side missions to deliver a car in 1:30 from point A to Point B, gave up after about 50 tries (Stubborn is my name, just wanted to complete it). Impossible for me, had to quit. I don’t play driving games (unless ModNation counts) but I decided never again in this game will I take a volunteer driving mission. Just not fun at all and sadly something I cannot accomplish without getting stuck on another car or killing 20 civilians which isn’t my play style.
Swinging full force uncontrolled around a corner unless you want to come to a FULL stop…and run out of time and such, and sliding like on ice with each touch of the stick even when in a straight line…. bleh. Fix it please.
